In My Dreams

Ichigo scoweled, "Wat kind of cheesy manga are you reading now?" he asked, Rukia looked up from her book, "Oh! Well! Delighted you asked! It's about these two best friends that are in love with eachother but they won't admit it, and the girl, Aneko, gets turned into a cat! But she still sort of looks like herself, she's just smaller with a cat tail, paws, cat ears, and can't speak, anyway, so the boy, Ringo, finds her and adopts her as his pet! And he starts showing her off and she's trying to return to normal! It's VERY interesting!" Ichigo rolled his eyes, "It SOUNDS interesting," he replied sarcastically, "Well YOU don't have to read it!" "Thankfully!" She threw a baseball at his head, well that was the end of that,
"Rukia, Rukia, Rukia, wake up, wake up," she heard, she felt someone shakeing her, opening her eyes she saw..'Ichigo' "Hello Princess! Guees were I'm taking you today?" wat had gotten into him?! He was so annoying! 'Shut up!' she tried to say, but all that came out was a small, "Meow!" "That's right!~ I'm taking you to Soul Society to meet everyone! Won't that be fun?" in one motion he had her scooped up in his arm, she glared in horror at her newly aquired paws and tail, and wen they passed a mirror she was able to see that she also had cat ears! Not to mention she was only about three inches tall! Her first instinct was to leave, so she tried to climb over his shoulder, but his other hand came up over her back and she could barely move much less escape, "No, no Preciouse, no getting away," she bit her lip, couldn't he tell that it was her?!
Once they arrived at the car Ichigo set her down in the trunk and opened the door to a small pet carrier, pushing her inside, he shut the door before she could get away, she "meowed" and pawed at the door as much as she could, but he simply picked up the cage and put it in the front passenger seat, "Sorry my little kitten, but I can't let you run around in the car," she hissed at him, he reached in the front of the cage andd tapped her harshly on the nose, "No hissing," he demanded, 'And I thought he was strickt with people!'
Rukia had maneged to sleep through the car ride and the run to Soul Society, much to both of their delights, she was hoping that wen she woke up it would be over, it wasn't, she ended up in Renji's house with him, Ikkaku, Yumichka, Rangiku, and Toshiro all waiting for Ichigo to open her cage, she had felt LESS like a caged animal wen she was about to be exicuted! Finally the door opened and Rukia sprang out, only to be caught be Ichigo, who held her with one hand and buckled a small strawberry-print collar around her neck with the other, she looked up at him pleadingly, "That collar is adorable!" Rangiku chimed, 'Yeah but YOU don't have to wear it!' Rukia complained to herself, all of a sudden she was being picked up again, this time by Renji, who held her like some kind of ... thing that he was admiring, "Hm, well, she's cute, I'll give her that, but she looks mad, wat did you do to her?" "She dosen't like cages, but wat else was I gonna do? I can't keep her in my hands all the time! She'd get away! And leashes don't work long term, she's not fast enough to keep up with me," Renji nodded, "So she likes to scamper off huh? That either means that she dosen't like being in one place too long or she dosen't like YOU," 'Right now Renji, I don't like YOU so put me down!' she tried to glare at him but it didn't work, and she didn't want to get flicked again so she didn't dare hiss, "Oh Renji would you stop holding her like that! It's uncomfortable!" 'Thank you Rangiku!' Renji set her down and she immideatly ran to Rangiku and started to purr, "She likes me!" "Ofcourse she does, she'd like anyone that liberated her," Toshiro replied non-chalantly, "She's so cute Ichigo! I want one!" "I no, isn't she just the most preciouse little thing? She's one of a kind though," "Oh, I'd pay millions for a kitty like this," "Yeah, and get this, I rescued her! They were about to kill her and I rescued her! Isn't that the best stroke of luck?" irritated as she was, Rukia was just fine there....until Rangiku wanted to hug her and nearly smoothered her! "Hey hey hey! You're suffocating her!" Ichigo quickly lifted her up again and cradled her in his arms, his grip was tight enough that she couldn't escape though, he then clipped a leash to her collar and clipped the other end to the cage, she felt like a prisoner again, "Can I hold her?" Ikkakku asked, "No she dosen't want to be held right now," Ichigo replied, cuddling her more, 'How do YOU no?!' he then set her down in a small, fluffy cat bed and tossed her a few toys, carrying on with the other Soul Reapers, "Mew!" "No, no, Preciouse," "Mew!" "No I said," she finally relented, why didn't he no it was her?
"Rukia! Rukia! Rukia! Wake up! Wake up you're having a nightmare!" her eyes fluttered open, "Hn?" "You were having a nightmare," Ichigo repeated, Rukia stared at him, "..I'm not a cat am I?" he looked at her like she was crazy, "No," "Good," she replied, curling up with her fiance', "I think you're reading too much manga,"

Kitty Kitty

"I'm going for a walk, bye Ichigo," Rukia stated walking out the door, "Don't take too long Midget," "Ok," an hour passed and Rukia still wasn't home, "Were is she?" Ichigo thought aloud, seeing that it was now raining, he grabbed an umbrella and left, meanwile....'I can't believe this happened! I can't believe some stupid hollow did this to me!' Rukia thought, greatly displeased, her tail swishing angerly wile she peered over the side of the box, 'Help me!' she pleaded
" Rukia!" Ichigo yelled, 'Ichigo!' Rukia meowed loudly, curiouse, Ichigo stepped next to the box to find a cat-a-fied Rukia meowing helplessly at him, his mouth dropped, "Rukia?!" she licked his face cutely "How did this happen!?!" "Horrow" she stated, both of them seemed to notice it at the same time, along with a tail, cat ears, fangs and claws, Rukia aparently had a new speech difficincy, as she sounded like a three year old, Ichigo bit his lip, "Shut up!" she hissed, her voice no longer a smoothe stream of silk, but now a high pitched chirp, "But your voice!" he laughed, she hissed at him, "And the box says 'Free to good home' by the way," he laughed, she hissed again, none the less, he picked her up and carried her home, curiouse to see if she would walk on all fours wen they got there....
An abudence of hisses, "rawrs" and more hisses emitted from the small creature, Ichigo was unphased as he tried to keep her in the bath and wash her hair at the same time, "Nooo!" she hissed again, "Rukia I don't care that cats hate water! You're filthy! You're covered in dirt and mud and I'm gonna get it off of you weather you like it or not!" "Nooooo!" she continued to hisss, kicking scrathing and clawing in an effort to escape, "Stop it!" Ichigo shouted, one hand grabing her rist (she had been trying to scratch him) the other quickly embeding shampoo in her hair, all the wile dodging the splashing water caused by her kicking, "Noooo!!!!" her hisses were becomeing more like desperate wines at this point, "Noooooo!!!!!!" she cried again, still kicking, Ichigo couldn't handle anymore of her wines, he finally made his decision, for the better of both their lives, he would take a life-threatening chance, and..... he flicked her ear, her struggles immediatly stopped and she looked at him with a shocked and hurt expression, no matter how much he hated that look, he continued to be stern with her, "No!" he commanded, " "That's wat you get for being a bad cat!" if he were to write down all the things he thought he would never ever say to Rukia, that would be in the very top, "Now behave!" he demanded, she wined a very long, very sad string wines but no longer resisted, "Jeez Rukia, you were a handfull as a Soul Reaper but you're ten times worse as a cat!" "Meanie!" she moaned, finding it more and more difficult to speak,
Ichigo pulled aside more of Rukia's hair to blow dry it, aparently cats don't mind hair dryers because Rukia was sitting calmly, wrapped in a towel and letting him dry her hair, as her tail swished contently, Ichigo finished off her hair and stood up, walking towards the closet, finding the only dress with a small slit up the back, (for her tail) he turned around to see her watching him intently with a broad smile on her face, ....and then she licked the back of her hand and brushed it against her ear, Ichigo simply shook his head, she was becomeing more cat-like by the second,
"Rukia!" he called, clicking his tounge (A/N: That's the way you call a cat) as expected she bounded towards him and sat down expectingly, her tail swishing and her face still grinning, Ichigo was still finding it difficult to remember that this was Rukia here, "Come 'ere," he commanded, obeying the order, she crawled forward and began purring, her tail swishing happily as she purred and rubbed against him, "Ok, that's very cute, but please stay still," he requested, strapping a strawberry-themed collar around her neck as she ignored the last request and continued her cute little show of affection, Ichigo buckled the collar and freely alowed her to continue, her purring vibrateing against him, he tried not to laugh, he realized that she wasn't exactly....well, right in her head at this moment, but she sure was cute!
Ichigo wasn't exactly sure about wat she was going to do wen he climbed in his bed and repeated the word "sleep" a few times, he finally saw her grin triumphantly and back up, thinking that she was on her way to the closet, he began to shut his eyes, wen he heard a loud "mew" and saw Rukia leap forawrd on top of him, he stared at her with wide eyes as she burrowed under the sheets and popped her head back out, curling into a small ball and purring on top of him, he let out an exasperated sigh, and gently began strokeing her hair, at first it was cute but now this cat thing was just irritateing! None the less, he rolled over on his side and pulled the young girl next to him, falling asleep, he found, was not as hard as he thought it would be
The next morning he resolved to take her to Urahara's and (hopefully) get her changed back, thing is, ...he had to use a map, sitting outside on a bench he tried to make sense of the directions, wen he heard a familiar, "Hey Ichigo!" He glanced behind him to see Keigo comeing towards them, Rukia leaped up instintivly and peered over the bench "Wat on earth?! Were did you find a hot chick with cat ears? And were can I get one?!" he asked, Rukia "mew"ed happily at the new face, Ichigo reached one hand over and petted her head to keep her still, though he didn't completely calm her curiosity, "She's my cat," he stated, still not takeing his eyes off the map, "That's NOT a cat!" Keigo yelled, "You're imagining things," he stated, tucking the map back in his pocket and grabbing the "kitten" Rukia squirmed slightly in his arms and she maneged to peer over his shoulder giveing another few happy "mews" to a stunned Keigo, and THAT is the most he would ever get,
"Rawr!" once again hisses, "rawrs" and unpleasent wines emitted from Rukia as she ran all over the shoten, trying to escape the people chaseing her, wich included, Ichigo and Urahara, Yoruichi ultimatly decided to stay curled on the floor laughing so much that her ribs hurt, "Come on Rukia!" Ichigo begged, still chaseing her, "It won't hurt I promise! It's just a little shot!" A paticuarly loud and menacing hiss slid through Rukia's lips and she simply ran further, leading them all in a circle untill Urahara decided to head her off, .....and Rukia decided to cling to the ceiling
"We're never getting a cat," Ichigo stated, Rukia nodded in agreement, "Cats are alot to take care of," Rukia glared at him, "Yeah well being a cat isn't exactly a treat either!" she replied coldly, "Yeah sorry about that, I no last night wasn't exactly pleasent," "Ahem," "Wat you got a hairball or somethin'?" "Hello?!" "Right sorry, I no this morning was way, way, worse than unpleasent," "Yes it was," "But that shot I gave you was painless right?" "That's beyond the point, it wasn't pleasent being chased around a house, then falling from the ceiling, only to have you pin me to the floor and jam a needle in my arm!" She shouted, all was quiet for a moment, "Ichigo," "Yeah?" "Wen we get married can we get a dog?" Ichigo dropped his manga and his mouth wile Rukia sat on the bed next to him and licked him playfully, "Meow," "That isn't funny," "Yes it is, meow," "No, it really isn't," "Yes it is~ Meow~!"
