Mini Me
Kai opened his eyes. His chest hurt to breathe in but apart from that he seemed okay. Apart from being on the floor of course. He sat up and looked around. He was in the hall and his clothes were soaking wet. There was a shout as he stood up and Tyson ran round the corner, also dripping water everywhere.
'Kai! Are you okay?' Kai frowned, feeling more than slightly confused.
'What happened?' he asked. Tyson looked down at his dripping clothes.
'Uh… Chibi Kai fell in the pond and you both almost drowned?' He didn't sound too certain about this though so Kai gave up and walked out to the garden where Kenny was trying to catch Chibi Kai. The kid had recovered surprisingly quickly after his adventure and Kenny was having no luck. When he spotted Kai however, the child ran straight to him, holding out his arms to be picked up.
At first Kai just looked down at the kid, overwhelmed with surprise, but after a second or two he knelt down and gathered the child in his arms. Lifting him up, Kai turned and strode back into the house with a wide-eyed Kenny following.
Hiding a smile at the look of surprise on Tyson's face, Kai walked past into the sitting room. Putting the un-protesting child down on the sofa Kai felt about in his pocket for a second before pulling out his prize Blade, Dranzer, and handing it to Chibi Kai.
He turned around to find both Kenny and Tyson standing in the doorway with identically shocked looks on their faces. He had trouble not laughing at them.
'Wow…' Tyson finally found his voice. 'Kai… you just gave Dranzer to a kid. Are you sure you're okay?' Kai sighed and sat down next to his younger self.
'I didn't give Dranzer to just any kid, I gave him to myself. It will keep him amused anyway.' Tyson just looked confused but he didn't ask any more annoying questions so it was okay.
After a second, Kenny sat down as well, pulling Tyson with him.
'Now what?' he asked. Kai thought for a second, looking down at the happy kid.
'First of all, do you know why that happened when he fell in the pond?' Kenny stood up and walked over to the two Kai's.
'I believe there is some sort of connection between the two of you which would be very likely seeing as you seem to be the same people. If you could just let me test this theory?'
He looked at Kai questioningly and Kai nodded unsuspecting. Kenny reached out.
'HEY!' yelped both of the Kai's. Kenny retrieved his arm before Chibi Kai could hit him.
'Kai?' asked Kenny. Kai frowned but nodded.
'Go ahead!' he said. Kenny reached out and pinched Kai's arm instead. This time there was no reaction from Chibi Kai. He was still rubbing his own pinched arm ruefully.
'That's weird.' Said Kenny; 'The connection only seems to work one way.'
'What does that mean?' asked Kai. Kenny sat back down again.
'It means that if Chibi Kai breaks his arm then you do to. If you break an arm nothing will happen to Chibi Kai.' Kai frowned at this.
'And you don't know how to…put him back where he came from?' Kenny shook his head. Kai suddenly realized that he was still dripping wet. He stood up.
'I'm going to change out of these clothes. Will you two find some of Max's clothes for the kid?' Tyson looked as if he was about to protest but Kai's sudden glare made him nod in acquiescence. Kai left the room and Tyson and Kenny were left looking at a suddenly mischievous looking child. Kenny groaned inwardly. This would not be an easy task.
