50 mins of Exercise - Done
Right. So I'm back on track with my diet and exercise plans. Took presumably a month off because I've been too busy with end of school, graduation stuff, and other things. Because of my irregular working hours I just really couldn't do any exercises regularly which really sucks. I did however do whatever I could during the slow days when there wasn't much going on, but it wasn't regular enough to actually see any results. All I did was manage to keep a constant weight... but even then I don't think that could be very good in the long run.
Did manage to pick up another work out dvd (lol yay work out dvd's). "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" by Jillian Micheals. Funny thing is that before I wasn't so adamant about workout videos of any sort. After trying the 30Day Shred, it does give you some good insight on what you could do at home without much equipment. This is my big draw towards work out dvd's because the gym within my apartment complex has had broken equipment for about 5 years. Plyometrics are awesome. After this workout I can conclude that I'm not hardcore enough to do Insanity or P90X (YET).
BFBM is a good 50min Cardio workout that involves lots of plyometrics, and it seems like something I could feasibly do every other day and I will be able to see some good results after a month or so.... Challenge excepted? Oh definitely, hell yeah.
Also, I can reward myself afterwards with some Diablo 3 and not feel guilty about sitting on my ass for maybe a few hours straight...heehehee...
Of course, I'll be out and about too - Not going to be a complete shut in this summer that's for sure. Going to Longboard, work on my graphic design and hopefully be a really awesome Art Director by the end of the year, GO TO CONCERTS, EAT OUT, MAKE MONEY, EAT OU--*ahem*
I will feel better about myself before this year is done.
*thumbs up*
Oh god I'm so tired right now...
New Season, New Cosplay
I'm practically graduated, just waiting to finish up the degree show, convocation, and then find a wonderful job. I hope I can find a job... *cough*
Anyway, I still haven't posted pics from SCon yet *Facepalm*, BUT I have started working on cosplay for PAX, and various other summer cons happening around Vancouver. This must be a new record because I actually started 4 months in advance! 4 WHOLE MONTHS.
Few armor pieces for your eyecandy-nessness. I don't know. I feel like starting a new DeviantArt account for all my nerdiness and such... We'll see. I don't know what to name myself yet.
[Edit] And tonight's progress:
(Maybe I shouldn't involve myself in so much of this stuff until I get a real paying job... Ah...)
Post Con (late)
Woo~ It's been a while since Sakura Con, and heck FanExpo also happened too. It's really been a whirl wind of non-stop stuff.
Sakura Con was really fun. It was especially nice when I didn't have to worry about lugging around props and all. I think this is the first year or so where I didn't have to make props for my cosplays. I'm also surprised that I managed to finish everything on time including my Major Projects for school. That was close.
To be really honest, I don't even know what happened and how it happened.
I got to meet Japan again at theOtaku meet up on the Saturday :D Super exciting. It was a small turn out, but it was cool. I didn't really partake too much in the activities as the regulars kept me pretty occupied. But boy, did Japan look good in Sailor Jupiter! She did an amazing job in the FFT - and an amazing job on the shoes (we've been conversing a bit through comments about how to keep paint on her shoes).
I didn't take a lot of pictures during Sakura Con but some of the highlights were:
- SomeGuy in a wig - See. Wigs aren't that bad
- FFFT or FFT as it is now (Fantasy Fight Tournament) - It was probably the best show ever. Lots of good acts, and SomeGuy also finally managed to get to the finals! Congrats!
- Seeing our friend in Giant Wings and Armor cosplay
- Dicking around past 12 and then passing out without realizing that one Saturday night. I blame the tequila... Btw. Tequila is an evil substance. Don't touch it.
- Cosplayed Yasuri Nanami from a pretty obscure anime, Katanagatari (Sword Story), and our little group was actually recognized! We were also recognized by the Aniplex people but unfortunately, we didn't cosplay it again on Saturday when they wanted us to - lol next time.
- Had a very interesting time at the Fairy Tail photoshoot. Normally I don't partake in these big photoshoots, but hey, one couldn't hurt. >___<;;
Well I've got to say, I will definitely bring back Juvia - that was very fun to be in, albeit a bit warm - lol. I wish to have photobombed some more but alas, that didn't happen.
Anyway, on to the next con! Fan Expo Vancouver was EXCELLENT! I've never been so "con tired" after a local convention. It was like PAX, but I went to more panels than any other convention I've ever been to. It was quite amazing to see Adam West, Burt Ward, Kevin Sorbo, and part of the Reboot team.
I took lots of pics, I should post up a gallery link or two later - lol
Again, Back to work! I will talk about more cosplay plans in the next post 8D yayaya
Less than a Day
Less than a day until Seattle! Go go go!
Lots of progress done and fairly quickly too! I just wish I could have said the same with my projects. Those are going so slow right now.
See you guys there!
T-minus 4 Days...
Well, well, well. Sakura Con is finally around the corner! More or less excited about it because I finally get to get away from school and all responsibilities for a little while.
In terms of working out, I've pretty much ingrained a routine into my schedule: every other day, 30-45 mins, and if I can do some crunches, push-ups, and other stuff that doesn't require jumping around before bed time - lol
Still lost that 5-10lbs at least! If I had more time, I'd be out and running around my park because that was super effective in helping my metabolism... Nice weather is coming back after all.
It's been tough, I can say I've been slipping back and forth with old habits, and bouncing back to the new ones. I can at least say that this is a year long goal. Not just a three month or whatever before cosplay. I feel better about myself, and I want to continue that way.
It's actually been keeping my stress levels at bay for most of it. Pretty neat how a little physical activity can remedy that.
Ugh last weeks of school is driving me nuts! We've finally sent out our email campaign advertising our grad show out to our mentors, alumni and business peeps, I hope they'll get it and understand what's going on @_@ it's pretty funny. I don't want our joke to be lost - lol
I did the main typography for it 8D weee
In terms of cosplay:
Yasuri Nanami - 90% done! Yes. I just need to paint the wig, and make some little cloth armor bits, and I'm good.
Juvia Loxar - Pretty much all done. I need to curl a wig, but that shouldn't be too hard... ah wigs. Love/Hate relationship still stands.
Jedi - Pretty much done as well. Just need that important prop 8D and we're gold.
Woohooo!
