Last Thursday night I was very stressed, and amidst my fury I committed an unforgivable act of stupidity- I changed the password on my computer. *dramatic music blares* Now, as silleh as that might sound, you should know that when I am stressed my memory is..less than perfect. And I tend to bit a little distracted as is. :3 I suppose it wouldnt have been such a problem if I wasn't the administrator and the only account on the whole computer. (Because it belongs solely to me, after all..) Or if I had previously made a 'password reset disk'... Alas; neither were the case. So, for the entirety of my weekend, one which I needed to type up three essays durring, I spent my hours wracking my brain for the password and downloading various programs in hopes to hack the system. I am now fully confident in my computer's security system. UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, CONFIDENT. Still, it was not until Sunday afternoon that I managed to master the hacking program and broke my own encryptions. I danced for at least 20 minutes on success. No joke. Non-stop dancing. It was epic. Then I ate some candy and hugged my moniter. Got to get reacquainted ne? :D So, that is why I havent posted anything or responded for a while. I'm still looking for a new program to replace my old photoshop too... :P
On that note:...
:( My adobe photoshop has all gone screwy and isn't even loading- so Im officially out of an editing program for my artwork. There's only one thing left to do...*commits japanese honor suicide* ...
*deep sigh* It was a really old version anyway. I suppose this is my computers way of telling me to get up-to-date! :3 Torture is always the best teacher and my procrastination has surely delt me this pain!! :P
So, I need a new program. Any suggestions on what programs I should go for? (remember: I'm poor!! XP) I want the best value for the best price. Should I go for a newer photoshop, or some other program? @.@??
Here's a small lesson on the family and immediate members. (I will elaborate on this at another time :3)
- father: otoosan (oh-toh*long o*-sah-n) = someone else’s father
chichi (chee-chee) = 'my' father (only used when speaking of your own)
- mother: okaasan (oh-kah*long a*-sah-n) = someone else’s mother
haha (hah-hah) = 'my' mother (once again-only used for one's own parent
- grandfather: ojiisan (oh-jee*long e*-sah-n) ; also a term for elderly men-not necessarily an 'actual grandpa' (sort of like the English term 'gramps', just not considered rude)
- grandmother: obaasan (oh-bah*long a*-sah-n) ; also can be term for elderly women- just like ojiisan
- older brother: oniisan (oh-nee*long e*-sah-n) = someone else’s big brother
ani (ah-nee) = ‘my’ older brother
- older sister: oneesan (oh-neh*long eh*-sah-n) = someone else’s older sister
ane (ah-neh) = ‘my’ older sister
- younger brother: otootosan (oh-toh*long o*-toh-sah-n) = someone else’s younger brother*
- younger sister: imootosan (ee-moh*long o*-toh-sah-n) = someone else’s younger sister*
*When speaking of your own younger siblings, remove the ‘san’ on the end. This is a title of respect and it is considered wrong, rude, and conceited to place honor on your own family.
This was a brief lesson on family titles. Thanks for joing me today, I hope you find this helpful. As always, if you have any questions, just pm me or comment them in!! :3
CURSE THEEE AND THINE PRINTY DOOM HYPOCRYTE!!!! >:V...
So, after about a year or so of 'inactivity', I've decided to finally post a pic of mine.. so my scanner decides to become a vessel for the devil and will not send my scans to my comp!!!*hyperventilating* I'm beside myself with fury and untainted hatred for it at this moment. I can not even look at it without my eyeballs burnig form the sheer intensity of the glare. Next time I go to print; it better print in solid gold if it knows whhat's good for it!! >:V * evil eyeing the scanner*
Either that, or I'm calling an exhorsist... >:|
*deep sigh* I just finnished a super long post for my world ~Nihongo In a Page~. It doesn't look so long after posting it of course; but a lot of work went into it..well, as much as my sweater-warmed, exhausted brain will allow!! I was doing bunches of 'double checking' to try and make things as easy, understandable, and accurate as possible. :3
If anyone is interested in learning to speak a little japanese you can check it out. Or if you just want to know how to say something specific in japanese you can just ask. (pm me or comment if you'd like) Such as your name, or if you'd like a translation of some word you may have found in a manga or anime (I get those a lot :3). An english-japanese dictionary would work for some stuff: but the definitions often given in those things aren't.. well, 'how it's spoken'. There's many words that have 'dictionary' form and various 'speach' forms.. >:| (it's rather fusterating actually...) *laughs* None the less: the offer's there, if anyone would like!! :D
What's everyone got planned for this upcoming weekend??
LOOK! A KITTEN!! :3
