Chapter Nine: Phone Call
Chero sighed as she walked away from the room with the prison cell in it.
“They got pretty mad at me…Hime’s face was really scary…And I never wanted to see Dino’s face look so hurt…”
The song, “iNSaNiTy” started to play. Chero jumped.
“EEEEK! Dino! Hime!” she cried, “Oh…They are not here…My phone? Scary…Who is it?
And how can they be calling me anyways?”
She looked down at her phone, her eyes wide with surprise, “What?”
Chero pressed the answer button, “H-hello? Tsu-”
“You IDIOT! Why did it take you so long to answer?! You have no idea how worried I was!”
“W-What?! What?! Is it true?! Is it really you?! How? You are Tsukino, right?”
Chero asked, clutching the phone in her hand.
“Of course it’s me! ACK! LEONIDES! You can’t take my phone! Give it back!”
“M-Master Leon, too? It can’t be true…Why?” Chero asked.
Her heart hurt from hearing her sister’s voice and the sound of her sensei, Leon.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, but listen. Chero…” Tsukino said.
Tears started to stream down Chero cheeks as she started to cry.
“Are you crying?” Tsukino asked.
“No. I-I’m just so happy…Hey…Tsukino? Can you ask Leon to tell the council I am leaving? And…can you please check on the school for me tomorrow and maybe fill
in?”
“Huh?” Tsukino questioned.
“Tomorrow…and the day after…and after…”
“…No.” Tsukino said, sternly.
“Nee-ch-”
“It’s your job to teach at the academy. Get back here and take care of your job yourself. I have my own job, remember?!” she said.
Chero smiled a little at her sister’s reaction.
“And….*crackle* You…..*crackle* e…..*crackle* idiot….*crackle*….Che*crackle*”
“Tsukino?! I can’t hear you! Hello?!” Chero cried.
The call dropped and all Chero could hear was beeping. She hung up.
“It got cut off…” she sighed.
Chero laughed, “Their voices! It’s been too long! I…I wish…I wish I could go home.,,”
“…It got cut off. Damn. Oh well…At least my call got through this time…” Tsukino sighed.
Tsukino stood outside of the large mansion with her arms crossed. She was dressed in her work clothes, her long brown hair pulled up in a ponytail.
“
My sister can be such an idiot at times…And that idiot Leonides is taking too long! Why is he not back with the other yet?” she sighed frustrated.
“…Chero…I’m coming…”
