James had run so far ahead, it wasn't even funny. But there was no way I was going to run from that beast. I had picked up speed, but if he got NEAR me, it was dead. And then, it blocked my path. A horridly large beast with foul breath I could smell even at this distance, and a huge club in it's right hand. There was a horn atop it's head, and it seemed the beast only had but a single eye. Cyclops...no...not exactly. Some sort of mix breed. The rest of his body didn't follow suit. A large mass...like a fat horse...or something...
It reared up and screeched at the top of its lungs. I raised my eyebrow. "You don't say?" I spoke sarcastically. As it came back down, I jumped at it. Landing on the other side, I started to walk off. The beast stood there frozen...just before falling to the ground. Whining in miserable pain as it slowly died. I smirked. I had just broken every single one of his bones at the joints, causing massive internal damage...of which he would bleed to death in no time. After all...I had just shattered several of those bones. Which would in turn, pierce major arteries and perhaps organs.
When I finally started to catch up to James again, I caught a familiar scent. Mei! I ran as fast as I could, coming out just behind James. He had smashed into the pureblood woman, Jezabelle. Standing right beside her was my Mei. "...Mei..." I spoke in a relieved tone.
"Shori!" She exclaimed and embraced me. I held onto her tightly. I had been so worried...

"Oh Shori! I was so worried!" I shouted. "I didn't know what happened to you! I knew you were alright...all I knew to do was to head to the village...I'm so happy..." Tears started to form in my eyes...but knowing that Jezabelle and yet another pureblood were in the room made me force them back in. I wiped the stray tear away quickly.
"I'm glad you're alright too Mei...I knew you would head for the village...so I had faith." Shori spoke calmly, holding me tightly.
We walked over and sat down. Shori acted as my chair, and I clung tightly to him. Not wanting to ever let him go again.
"Have a seat you two...we should get some rest, then leave as soon as the sun starts to set." Shori instructed James and Jezabelle. "It's a pleasure meeting you again, Lady Oread."
"The Pleasure is mine, Sir Benitsuki. I Understand the need to rest. However shouldn't we try going before the sun fully sets?" Jezabelle asked, popping out her umbrella.
"No." Shori stated flatly. "I don't only suggest this course of action because of the journey TO the village. Once there, we are to engage 'DEMONS'. We need all of our strength, therefore, we shouldn't put ourselves out in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure will result with us in a weakened state. I want to be ready for the battle ahead."
"Well, when you put it that way..." She relinquished taking a seat.
I felt myself getting very drowsy. "Sleep Mei..." I heard Sho's gentle voice urge me as he stroked my hair ever so delicately. "Wait a moment...what happened to your hat?" He whispered.
My eyes shot open for a moment as I remembered Adam holding it. Looking to the side, I replied, "I...lost it..." I couldn't tell Shori about him...I just couldn't...
"Oh...well I'll get you another." He smiled. "Now get some rest."
I felt so bad for lying...I would tell him soon. But I couldn't let him get distracted...slowly I closed my eyes...and before I knew it...I was fast asleep.
It didn't feel like I slept long. Before I knew it, I was being shook awake. I was the last one too...Jezabelle and James were both wide-awake. I sat up straight, wiping a slight drool from my mouth, blushing slightly. "It's time to go." Shori urged.
I stretched, preparing my body for a sprint. My wounds had all healed, I was in top shape now. I gave Jezabelle a mischievous glance. If she had thought I'd moved fast last night...just wait until she saw me now. "We have to be there by dawn right? We have plenty of time." I asked.
"Yes, the teachers informed us that we are all to arrive before dawn, however I intend to be early. Prompt and on time." Jezabelle spoke bluntly.
"Hah...you would think you were racing or something..." I commented lowly, but coughed and hoped she hadn't heard. "Whatever...let's just go."
After leaving the cave, the sun was still slightly visible, but fading fast. I smiled over at Shori, then looked at Jezabelle and dashed off. She had obviously caught my grin, she was at my side in an instant.
"I see you're moving much quicker, No-...Shimei."
"You've picked up your pace too. Don't tell me you were going light last night because I was wounded." I commented back. "You're so thoughtful." I joked.
"If I wanted to...I could easily leave you in the dust."
"Ditto." I challenged, picking up my speed. I got ahead of her...but only for a bit, before she stepped up her game and caught up to me again.
The rest of the 'journey' was a bit of a blur. I kept side-by-side pace with Jezabelle...and we were at the village in no time. Sho and James far behind us. We smirked at one another.
"Not bad Jezabelle...not bad." I spoke, not even out of breath.
"Not bad yourself...Shimei." She said, with equal vigor.
Suddenly we heard clapping...loud clapping approaching us. "FINALLY Someone gets here!" I went on guard instantly. "And what better than two beautiful little ladies. Ciao Bellas...tell me...did either of you take the BRIDGE?" He commented with a sadistic smirk. It was Makoto the demon...

"Pureblood..." I muttered...there was a HORRID taste in my mouth.
"Noble." She countered. Tilting her head to the side and staring at me.
I looked around...trying to gauge my location. I was on the OTHER side of the canyon...a rope lay on the ground. She had brought me with her...but...
"Pureblood...why? Why didn't you just leave me there...that makes no sense..." I found myself muttering.
She sighed deeply and stood up. "I COULD have left you to be eaten by that monster... THING if you would have prefered, but I presumed that you would have rathered to keep your LIFE intact..."
"I'm sorry OKAY!" I interrupted. "I know alright!"
She looked slightly surprised.
"I...don't DO well with purebloods. It's nothing personal...it's just when it comes to them...my mind is closed." I admitted. "They think they can have WHATEVER they want! Without a care to anyone else's feelings!" I paused and looked at her. "I think...I may have been a little cruel to you. I realize that now...my anger is misplaced...for that I apologize. I'll--I'll try harder to treat you with genuine respect. But I warn you Pu....Lady Oread...if you abuse my kindness...I shall never trust you again."
She turned to the side. "Jezabelle." She stated.
"What?"
"You don't HAVE to call me Lady Oread...Jezabelle is fine."
I was slightly surprised, but a small smile formed on my face. "I'm Shimei. Maybe one of these days, I'll let you call me Mei...but not just yet." I stuck my tongue at her playfully. I stood up. "We need to get moving...since we're headed over the mountains...we have to clear them before dawn. Unless YOU want to get a nice tan...Miss Jezabelle." I smirked.

I walked ahead of James. He was following and had stopped trying to make small talk. After all...it was incredibly hard to hold a conversation with him. I think he was just messing with me though. Finally giving in to the silence though...I made another attempt.
"You were thinking the same as me I see." I commented.
He was quiet a moment. "That Angelina looks hot even AFTER she's had twins... yeah..."
"No...Taking the caves. This way, we can slow our pace, and travel during the day with ease." I explained. "You DID consider that...didn't you?"
Again...quiet a moment. "Oh of course!" He agreed...though his tone was off...my eyes narrowed. "Travel by day, Oh yeah!"
Again...I took to walking in silence. I don't know what it was about that answer...but something told me he'd just accidentally stumbled in here...and was just going with it. "Whatever..." I sighed. My thoughts returned to Mei...I hoped she was alright...

I spit to the side again as I walked away. Why? Because I couldn't get the horrid taste of wolf blood out of my mouth. Who the hell did he think he was...grabbing me in such a disrespectful manner...and then he called me STUPID!! Spouting some weird stuff about Jezabelle...so he was her lover...he was still utterly irritating!!!
"GOOD RIDDANCE!!" I shouted behind me in his direction. Truthfully...I wasn't upset at him...I was totally and completely alone now. Again. Shori...I just prayed Shori was alright. I felt a slight prick on my neck, but I rubbed it off...how I loathed this forest...
I wasn't feeling too well. I felt...light headed... As I stumbled into the clearing beyond the trees, I saw the cliffside once more. Only on this part, there didn't seem to be any evil vine creatures. I saw someone about to cross the bridge...they saw me too and charged to attack. "WAIT!!" I cried out holding my hand up defensively.
"Cat girl...is that you?" The voice spoke.
It...sounded like Jezabelle. Slowly I opened my eyes. "Pureblood..." I muttered. "Keep your distance...." Then I collapsed and everything went dark again.

I had silenced the creature...but none of it mattered now. Shimei, she had gone over the cliffside. "Shimei..." I growled pounding my fist into the earth. "You aren't dead...I know you aren't! I just have to keep moving..."
With that Shori took off, sliding all the way down the cliff's edge. He made his way to the caves on the other side, having to climb up a bit after sliding down too far.
He heard something in the entrance of the hole he'd chosen. Shallow steps... "Hey! Who's in there?!" Shori called from the entrance.
He heard a slight movement, then someone clear their throat. "Who wants to know?!"
"James?!" Shori called out. "That IS you right??"

And so I've taken over the role of Shori...cuz honestly...I don't expect him to ever post here again. *le sigh* No worries though. LOL!
I waited, and waited, and waited, then it happened...Shimei finally fell asleep...i think it was the fact that i pretended to sleep that made her feel comfortable...
i laid there..her hand clutched to my shirt, i sighed. I knew she wasnt about to let me forget about this any time soon...i slowly removed her hand from my shirt. Sat up and turned over, leaned over to put on my shoes.
"I am either going to regret this...or this will make this whole academy experience much much better...and more frightening knowing him...if it is him" i thought to myself while tying my shoes...
I started walking out the door, thinking of my past...all the times we trained together...all the lessons he had taught me...everyhting i had taught him his words always echoed in my mind when i was in a fight, they had always helped me, even though i always told him his words were just trash, and i know i taught him some things as well, using special techniques only my family knows against him only to watch him fight and manage to win because of my technique. But thats how we were...we hated eachother and we showed it, we made sure the other one knew that he was looked down on, but in the end he is the reason i know i am alive today.
I grabbed a umbrella as i was getting ready to walk out the door...only to look back...turned around..and kiss my darling Shimei on her forehead
"Dont worry my beloved, i promise i will come back to you."
I walked down the hall, proceeding to the number one place i thought he would be if he was here, but alas the area that was dubbed the "arena"
I sighed as there was nothing here how ever i did manage to catch a glimpse out a window of a person with red hair jumping at a small group of human girls. "tsh...no reason to make such a entrance so early...give people time to guess about you good sir..." i thought to my self...
Then again as i walked out the arena i realized that anyone who saw me playing "tag" with Sheimei probably had a wrong idea of me as well...
"This school is full of interesting characters"
I walked throughout all the halls, i had to, if i went outside, well, have you ever seen a sunburned vampire? There is a good reason to why the answer is no...
I walked...and walked ...and walked...
I sustained looks from angels in classes and humans walking around...and the occasional demon proudly walking around...
I had found a small group of angels, one with his hand bloodied, i noticed immediately cause of the smell...Angels blood...smells... disgustingly sweet in the worst way...i continued to walk...
"That damn werewolf...who does he think he is asking such unreasonable requests in the class..."Break the desk"...crazy bastard" he said walking by, my eyes opened...
"Where is this teacher!" i screamed
One of the angels told me of his class location...one of the other angels proceeded to taunt me "Hey what makes you think you can yell at us and make us give you answers?!"
I said nothing and proceeded to walk in the correct direction.
"Hey i am talking to you!"
I turned around saying nothing and spinning my umbrella in the window to my right and my left hand in my pocket "You are weak, dont try it." i said knowing full well what was about to happen
The Angel had proceeded to charge me.
I sighed and thought to myself " I promised Shimei i wouldn't do anything so..."
i moved my left foot slightly more to the left allowing my right foot to come up to meet his throat, i then curled my foot around his neck and slammed him down the the ground, but not with my force, just his weight, if i had done my force i would have snapped his neck, i have done his trick too many times...
He feel to the ground, as soon as he had started talking i just put my weight on the foot, and said " i hope i didnt break your precious wings, i am sure you need those..."
I said knowing full well that i had broken something in his body...i could feel and hear the snap, but i didnt care so i didnt listen carefully.
I walked off down the hall thinking "Its him, i know it now..."
I found the classroom the angel had told me...
I opened it...
There he was...standing leaning against his podium, my eyes got huge instantly my life flashed back to
a couple years back, when i still lived in london.
I stood there, in the pouring rain, in a dark forest...all the campfires put out...a legion of werewolves in front of me and a vampire here and there...from my clan and the occasional one who just wanted battle. I could hear Brenin over me standing on the top of a shed with 3 other werewolves who were always with him.
He screamed over all the werewolves cheering and clattering
"WE WILL NEVER SLEEP!" he screamed to them all, the three beside him and everyone of the wovles screamed back..."NO WE WILL NEVER REST!" he screamed again...they echoed back to him, i knew where i was...and what was about to happen, the night i was about to be in the middle of a war, the night i was prepared to say "i am going to die" i stood there drenched in water...my Sword and staff on my back...
In the middle of a riot of werewolves... in front of them all, just below Brenin, i started screaming with them, i knew what the night had in store for me ... we were ready...i screamed
"WE WILL NEVER SLEEP" Brenin screamed once more
"CAUSE SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK" we roared
"NO WE WILL NEVER REST" Brenin howled
"TILL WE ARE FUCKING DEAD" we howled back...
I snapped back to the present...i looked up...he was walking towards me...i already knew what was about to happen...
I stared at the Moon, knowing that it was a full one tonight, i laughed a little on the inside, i knew this would have a direct effect on my Mei. It was the only reason why she had been acting like this as of late."Of all times for a full moon..." i thought to myself. But i just sighed this was a event i couldn't do a thing about.
We set off in an unknown direction, i walked with my hands in my pockets, as usual, i was looking at the trees, staring at the buildings, thinking about how i was condemned here for the time being. I sighed...
"Wha's wrong Sho?" Mei had asked.
"Have you ever just pitied the unfortunate souls in this world who dont hold vampiric blood in them. Humans are so weak, physically speaking, some hold strong wills, but not many. Their life spans are that of less then a hundred years. Measly one tenth of ours at best. Angels, souls that are dedicated to but simple ideals set in their life by that of higher powers, nothing more then slaves to a man with no form. Demons, creatures bound by their sins, spending a eternity feeling the same scars burn, sting, and eat away at them. Alas, nothing we can do about it though. But..." i said looking at Mei.
"If we could....why even try" i chuckled to myself
Just as i had finished saying this, Mei had taken off in front of me. Turned around and said, "This palce is boring and your not helping! Lets play a game!"
I laughed, and looked at Mei with a smile on my face, this is the Mei that i see, the one that conceals herself from the world. As far as everyone else sees she is just a stubborn anti-social noble vampire. I however, get the privilege of seeing this Mei. The Mei that enjoys life, laughs, and enjoys just playing, perhaps it was because i was the first one to bring out her true smile, and her true emotions. This is the Mei that i know, that i have the privilege of knowing.
This was my Beloved Mei.
"Ok then what shall we play?" i said already getting read to run, i knew what she was about to say before she did.
"TAG! and your it!" she said sticking out her tongue, as her silhouette disappeared into the shadows of the small forest that neighbored the academy.
"Crap..." i said as she jumped into the trees. She has gotten amazingly faster over the past years.
"...but i am still quicker..." I thought outloud...
I dashed to the closest tree, jumped from branch to branch, sensing her movement, attempting to be one step ahead. After almost a minute i knew her next area she was going to.
"So" i said out loud enough for her to hear me.
She had jumped up into a rather tall oak tree, landed on a branch and looked down to see if i was following her. "What does the winner get..." i said sitting in a branch behind her...
She turned around giggling, maybe knowing i was there just waiting to ask her.
"How about a midnight snack..." she said in a lower voice.
"Well thats fine but guess what ...your it..." i had said, jumping straight up into the darkness as Mei had turned her head slightly...
Only to find that i had snuck a moon flower in the back of her shirt, but of course, it was her favorite flower. I laughed in the air as i saw her expression...i hit the ground, running, thinking she is getting faster, but i still have a advantage, but then i had the brief thought. Mei does act like a cat and like to play with her prey...maybe she was letting me think i had a advantage....but looking back i think of all the days we played this centuries ago, I always win. Simple as that.
I had run to the front of a building. "Eh...why not..." I thought out-loud. I turned around only to see her figure soaring across the sky, holding on to her dear cat plushie. "Thats her alright..." i said looking at the indistinguishable bright red eyes...
I darted inside the building. Running down a hall, running up the walls that lead to the higher floors, I had heard the door open behind me...i smiled. "She is getting better at this..." I thought to myself...
I had taken a stone i grabbed in the forest. Threw it down the hall in the opposite end and yelled "Ouch!"
Quickly i had dug one hand into the stones that created the roof in the hall...and just hung out....
i saw her figure dash across the floor below me...i laughed, landed soared past her and said "Hey there..."
she looked at me semi-suprised...then laughed...
"Whats so funny..." i said as the back of my head connected with a wall...Alas...i had found why she laughed...she knew i wasnt paying attention...to a degree...
I rolled in a room just to avoid getting tagged...she punced on me, like a cat.
"I win..." she said...
"Oh really..." i said puling two more moon flowers out of the back of her shirt...that i had placed when i dashed past her...
She looked at me suprised, and smiled, and said "Well i STILL have you!"
"Look where we are..." i mumbeled...
We were in my dorm room. "Maybe i planned this....maybe i knew that wall was there...maybe i wanted you to have a good snack...Maybe i...Maybe..." i saw her fangs slowly coming out...
"Well, Enjoy your victory snack..." i said turning my head to the side...
"Bon appetit" i said closing my eyes...
