Venus Occultation Last May 16, 2010

Yay! Thanks to a friend who suddenly sent a text message to me around 7:00 PM saying,

"Look at the moon, it's so cute beside a star"

At first, I thought she was just kidding around but I still took time to go outside & see the night sky.

I looked up in the sky and... Wow! Interesting scene! I decided to take a camera shot by 7:16 PM (Philippines time).

After some minutes, I went back again outside (7:36 PM) & saw that he star is too close to the moon. I just noticed the star was not twinkling. It must not be a star but a planet.... Ah! It could be Mars or Venus! Possibly, Venus, the only planet that never lost in the evening sky.

(Trivia: If you always see this only one star-like celestial body that never twinkles in the night sky, it's the Planet Venus. )

By 8:00 PM, a news flash reported this celestial phenomenon called Venus Occultation which is only viewable in Southeast Asia that night.

Awww! I'm so lucky to witness this rare splendid scene.

OMG! I can't believe I just finished it within a day! I usually take more than a day to finish an artwork. Wow! I can feel my own improvement! XD

So yeah, this is the real Ched behind that OC you randomly saw in may gallery. I seemed to enjoy drawing real people & stuffs into manga style, haha!

And oh! I forgot to say thanks to all who hugged & faved my recent art.

It was really strange for me that it reached the front page & as top 1 in fan arts section last April 16th, though I guess it only lasted there for an hour, I felt I just made a history for once in my artist life. Special thanks to Mariel (MescaBoogie) for capturing that history.

Hello TheO! I'm Still Alive... (^_^?

*sighs*

I'm really sorry for being inactive, or I guess, dormant(??!) here in TheO.
I still go & log on & try hard to spend my time commenting in fan arts & blog posts.

I'm currently experiencing what we call the "Artist Block" (If I deserve to be called an Artist...) because of these two forces:

Inner forces like frustrations from personal struggles (conflicts with family, friends, etc; & my present condition where I'm seemed to weaken my memory function, like I easily forgot where I placed an object [pencil/ paper/phone/i-pod, etc..] after some minutes. OMG! What's happening to me?! ('_'?

Outside forces; I'm having hard times in my job. Too bad, the superiors give me some tasks that I'm not supppose to do. Yeah. I'm an accounting clerk who perform tasks for Information Tech Department for limited 8 office hours. I'm pissed off! And I'm tired...(O_o?

But I still have my recent arts which I did during these artist block times...

The 1st two are made of ink, pencils, & my weirdness because of the artist block syndrome. Lately, I seemed to enjoy mangafying my fave MJ music videos. I guess, I'm the only one in the planet Earth who loves drawing music video screenshots into manga style. LOL! (^^,?

And a friend asked me to draw their wedding caricature which they need for invitation cards & a tarpaulin. I wish she will like it (It's a WIP, have to put some background colors).

Idunno but I felt I don't want to upload these artworks in my fan art gallery.
Maybe, in DA. (^_^?
