Sketch Dump

Have some sketches. Normally I don't share stuff like this, but I've been doing more original work and don't want it to appear as though I've fallen off the face of the earth again.

Character design sketch. This guy's name is Kael. He's from a story/comic I've been working on for a while. I've been reworking a lot of the designs for it and I hope to actually start the thing soon! I'm doing a lot of fanfic based on the characters now, in an attempt to get a better feel for them... but hopefully I'll be drawing it soon!
Anyway, he's the 'bad guy' only not really. That little chibi in the corner is by a friend of mine. I didn't know what to do about his hair and so she drew that XP

Counterpart to the above guy. This guy is Jothee. This is actually just an updated version of this. Also, pardon how inconsistent I apparently am at drawing the same character D8

Two dudes sleeping together, in a totally platonic way. Tall guy is Garren, kid with the big ears is Levi (he's a rat, btw). This is for my own amusement, because Garren is dead during the main story line (from the same story as the above images), but I thought they would have gotten along well.

Garren is later 'reborn' as this demony thing, but his proportions are way way different... I kept wanting to draw him wrong for this one T_T which is why he's so ridiculously skinny. Here's a ridiculously old image of him here. He looks more like this and this now.

And a completely random kid with only one leg I'm pretty sure I haven't posted.

Some WIP stuff

I am totally obsessed with fish. True facts. You can't really tell they're fish from this preview though XP I'm basing them kind of on angler fish... so they'll have glowy parts and stuff. (and, yes, technically the same dude from the tentacle pic I posted a while back... I wanted to play with the character more.)

I like the guy in the back. He looks all pointy and snarky.

Character Design Sheet WIP

Not sure I'm feeling this. The other day, it occurred to me that I don't really screw around with sci fi. I wanted to create a different sort of character who looked like an alien or something. This is the result. Still having trouble with it T__T

Seriously. Does no one give a damn if your art is original?

I refuse to post fanart from well known series... if I do fanart, it's always obscure stuff so I'm not sure it counts... mostly because I think it's silly if you have to do it just to get attention. I've seen the most ridiculous images get an insane amount of comments just because it's fanart. WTF guys?

I'm going to make a point of commenting on original art from now on.
