Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.
Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.
KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.
So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.
Just for kicks, I thought I'd post the reasons why I subscribe to people. I will subscribe to you if...
- You have dedicated something to me.
- You have participated in one of my Challenges.
- I like a lot of your art.
- I want to keep tabs on your World posts.
- You have made public that you are a Bon Jovi fan. (Yes, this reason is stupid.)
- You and I have some common interests. (This could range from being obsessed with Fullmetal Alchemist to striving to rid theO of art theft.)
- You subscribe to me. (Exception: art thieves. And yes, an art thief did once subscribe to me.)
So, those are my criteria. The only thing I don't to is subscribe to random people in the hopes that they'll subscribe back.
What makes you want to subscribe to someone?
I would like to thank Kima75 for providing me with the icons for my new avatar. I almost never change my avatar, but my original one was from a 10-year-old drawing. I needed an update.
I turned the icons into an animated gif with Photoshop. Believe me, they don't make it easy. After much frustration, I looked up a bunch of tutorials on DevaintART. They helped, but not completely. They must've had different versions of Photoshop than I do. I had to adjust the settings to make my work space look like the ones in the tutorials. Once I did that, I was fine.
I did all this few minutes ago. That wouldn't be too strange, but it's like 1:15 AM. In the morning. I can't sleep.
I have some questions for you regarding my Library World.
1. Do (or will) you read my stuff? I'm asking this because I'm sure there are people who read and don't comment. And that's OK. I just want to know how many readers I have.
2. Do you want me to post more different stories? I have a few short pieces that I could post, but they're not the best.
3. After typing chapters 5-8 of Survival Instincts, I showed them to my beta. She had a lot of suggestions (I haven't read them all), and I may have to rethink my approach to the story. There will probably be a lot of heavy edits. So as not to confuse people, should I hold off posting and editing the story until I finish? Or should I post as I go and revise the story as needed? Keep in mind that previous drafts might be spoilers for future drafts.
This silly post is inspired by a friend of mine.
On New Year's Eve, we were hanging around my apartment talking about our various interests and watching stupid YouTube videos. Somehow, the topic of anime came up, despite the fact that my friend isn't an anime fan.
I had been waiting for the moment when I could tell her about the Fullmetal Alchemist manga. I had rehearsed in my head how I'd pitch it to her. Here's what I said to her about FMA: It's about a double amputee and a suit of armor. They're brothers! Then I went on about how they use alchemy and battle the seven deadly sins personified.
Believe it or not, she was intrigued.
I wrote the manga's name down for her and she checked some volumes out of the library. Unfortunately, she hasn't gotten to far due to her hectic life. I hope she likes the series and that I didn't oversell it. If she does like it, then I can show her all the stupid FMA YouTube videos I found.
I'm sure that a lot of you Naruto Shippuden fans have heard about the latest video game based on the series. Although this is kind of old news, the game features bonus costumes for some characters. I now present to you "Dragonball Naruto".
I've been meaning to post this for months but kept on forgetting. I'm not really a Dragonball Z fan; I found the show very tiresome to watch. So why did I share this crossover? Because I totally called it back in 2009!
