I was thinking about creating a new World. I have no idea what for, though. Since KAAMP (this World) is for anime, manga, and (supposedly) my original works, I don't want to do anything in regards to that. I don't really want a personal World, 'cause I'm not very good at keeping up with stuff like that. I don't want a World dedicated to memes 'cause I don't do those. And I don't want to make an RP World because I'm really bad at RP-ing. So, what does that leave?
Actually, now that I think about it, I hardly do much for this World as it is. That's what I get for watching less than a month's worth of anime during my current lifespan. As a side note, I am a guest poster in three other Worlds, and I can count on one hand how many posts I've made.
So, thoughts on a new World? I'm ever hopeful for suggestions, but I'm probably not gonna get any comments anyway.
Please disregard! I joined Anime Planet instead.
I'm trying to sign up for myanimelist.net to keep track of all the anime I'm watching. 'Cause, let's face it, with so many series, I forget which episode I'm on if the number is greater than 12. So, two nights ago, I finally signed up. Well, sort of. Here's the story:
After having a TON of trouble with the Capcha (sp?), I finally got through, only to get a message that I hadn't checked the "I agree to the terms and conditions" box. So, I went back, checked the box, and had more trouble with the Capcha.
When I FINALLY got through, they said that they'd send me an email to complete my registration within a few minutes. A few minutes passed. Nothing. I don't have a "junk" folder, and I allowed cookies from the site, so I don't know why I didn't get one. I added the registration address to my contacts and requested that the email be resent. A few more minutes passed. Still nothing. About 15 minutes into this mess I thought, "What if I mistyped my email address and/or password?"
Somehow, I was able to click on a "forgot password" link so that they could send me an email to change my password. BIG MISTAKE. Since I wasn't registered, they couldn't send me a "change password" email. So now I can't even request a "resend confirmation" email through the site. Not that it matters, since I couldn't get those in the first place.
I scoured the site for support with this issue. The info I got was, (a) read the FAQ which doesn't help you in this particular situation, or (b) log in and blah, blah, blah. DUDE, I CAN'T LOG IN!!!!!!!!1
After reading through the catch 22 which was the sites "contact" page, I finally found an email for "general business". I'm not sure what that means, but it was the only way of contacting them without having the ability to log in. So, I sent them my email, hoping for a reply. It's been a few hours shy of two days, and I haven't heard squat.
So now, I need the help of a fellow Otakuite or two. If you happen to be on myanimelist.net, please contact a mod or admin about my situation. If you can be my liaison, I will be eternally grateful. Heck, I'll give you a gift, and subscribe to you if I haven't already.
The username I chose is KebaFox. If the mod/admin needs my email address, I'll PM it to you because I don't want it out here for all to see. Thank you SO much in advance!
I know the whole using fan art in cards and wallpapers has sparked a little controversy, but I'm in support of it. Before this new feature was announced, I wanted to make a collaborative Challenge for wallpaper makers. Now I don't have to, especially since the Bossman has his own thing going on.
This brings me to my next point: I have no clue how to make a decent wallpaper and I'm rather poor at cards. Therefore I can't participate in this whole MegaChallenge (I made a new word!). So I just want to let everyone know that all of my art is up for sourcing. I would be honored if anyone would like to use it. And I'd be happy to download any wallpapers made with my art and set them as my desktop background. My screen resolution is 1366x768.
The following link is to that of an article about Pokemon creator Satoshi Taijiri. Clicky!
If, for some reason, you can't read the article, I'll give you the gist. According to the article, Satoshi Taijiri has Asperger's Syndrome, a mild form of autism.
When I learned this, I was simultaneously surprised and not surprised. I mean, it kind of makes sense to me. I guess I'll go out on a limb here and say that I have a formal diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome too. Maybe that's why Pokemon appeals to me so much.
So, I was browsing my local Borders bookstore (it's closing ) last night. I was checking out the manga, and I came across a series that piqued my curiosity. It's called With the Light and it's about a mother and her autistic son. I thought it was a rather unique concept for a manga. Still, I didn't buy it because I don't know how good it is.
Has anyone read it? Is it any good? How many volumes are there (I saw volumes 1 through 7 at the store) and will there be more volumes to come?
