Would anyone be willing to give me a one-on-one digital art lesson? I'm coloring the prizes that I'm constantly talking about, but the highlighting and shading look UGLY. I want these prizes to be worth the wait (it's been almost half a year) and I'd really appreciate some help on making them the best that they can be.
I guess we could arrange a time, I'd PM you a join.me link, and you'd just make comments about my work. If you have a better idea than that, I'd love to hear it.
Thank you very much!
Edit: I hate to be annoying, but I'm going to bump this post occasionally.
Edit Part Deux: After a YouTube video and some experimenting, I think I have a lot more clarity, and can proceed on the pictures. Thanks for your offers of support, everyone.
This isn't exactly anime/manga related, but since no one's helping me on DevaintART, I thought I might as well post this here.
I'm looking for a scanner that can scan 9" x 12" drawings. I've shopped around but it seems that anything with a bigger scanning bed than 8.5" x 11" is pricey and/or ginormous. I've also searched for help online, but it's hard to come by answers. So, I thought I'd ask the largest community of artists I know my fellow otakuites about scanning drawings. So are there any scanners out there that can scan 9" x 12" drawings while not killing either my desk or my credit card?
In my online research, I read some comment like the scanner/drawing paper issue is like how hot dogs come in packages of 10 and hot dog buns come in packages of eight. I thought that was accurate.
Please disregard! I joined Anime Planet instead.
I'm trying to sign up for myanimelist.net to keep track of all the anime I'm watching. 'Cause, let's face it, with so many series, I forget which episode I'm on if the number is greater than 12. So, two nights ago, I finally signed up. Well, sort of. Here's the story:
After having a TON of trouble with the Capcha (sp?), I finally got through, only to get a message that I hadn't checked the "I agree to the terms and conditions" box. So, I went back, checked the box, and had more trouble with the Capcha.
When I FINALLY got through, they said that they'd send me an email to complete my registration within a few minutes. A few minutes passed. Nothing. I don't have a "junk" folder, and I allowed cookies from the site, so I don't know why I didn't get one. I added the registration address to my contacts and requested that the email be resent. A few more minutes passed. Still nothing. About 15 minutes into this mess I thought, "What if I mistyped my email address and/or password?"
Somehow, I was able to click on a "forgot password" link so that they could send me an email to change my password. BIG MISTAKE. Since I wasn't registered, they couldn't send me a "change password" email. So now I can't even request a "resend confirmation" email through the site. Not that it matters, since I couldn't get those in the first place.
I scoured the site for support with this issue. The info I got was, (a) read the FAQ which doesn't help you in this particular situation, or (b) log in and blah, blah, blah. DUDE, I CAN'T LOG IN!!!!!!!!1
After reading through the catch 22 which was the sites "contact" page, I finally found an email for "general business". I'm not sure what that means, but it was the only way of contacting them without having the ability to log in. So, I sent them my email, hoping for a reply. It's been a few hours shy of two days, and I haven't heard squat.
So now, I need the help of a fellow Otakuite or two. If you happen to be on myanimelist.net, please contact a mod or admin about my situation. If you can be my liaison, I will be eternally grateful. Heck, I'll give you a gift, and subscribe to you if I haven't already.
The username I chose is KebaFox. If the mod/admin needs my email address, I'll PM it to you because I don't want it out here for all to see. Thank you SO much in advance!
