That's right, I'm back, b*tches. ♪
My hiatus was shorter than I thought. Now I can catch up on looking at everyone's lovely art. ^_^ I have a bit of art to scan and post, myself.
Now that I have my computer back, I feel like a bundle of sunshine. Sure, I have to reinstall all of my programs, but that's not that bad in the grand scheme of things. This is coming from someone who lost 3.5 of her knitting projects for good and had to go to the ER over the past two weeks. So, despite all that messiness, I'm feeling much better. It's amazing how a little Internet socialization can do that for you.
Oh yeah! And now I can watch Hulu again. I missed that. Stupid, FlashPlayer-less iPad. But I'll save that for later after I install the rest of my programs.
So, how's everyone doing? (No matter how good/bad you are, I'll give a Gift to anyone who comments.)
Remember how my old computer was acting up until it eventually died? Well, as you know, I have a new one now, but this one is also giving me problems. It won't wake up from sleep. Also, when I try to shut it down the proper way, it goes to sleep instead. And, of course, it can't wake up.
After a month's worth of back-and-forth between tech support and me, they finally decided that it would be best for me to ship it off for repair. Good thing the warranty covers it.
I'll be shipping off my computer on Monday. I probably won't get it back until two weeks after that. So, you won't be seeing much of me.
I'd like to do a livestream as a "goodbye party" of sorts. It might be on Sunday.
My new computer just came in yesterday. I couldn't be more thrilled. Well, I could, but who's keeping score? I'm still very happy.
I spent a good chunk of time reinstalling all my programs. I'm still not quite done. At least I can do digital art again. I've been working hard on a bunch of drawings, and I'll finally get to finish them. When they're all done, I want to do some art trades. I'm also thinking about starting a Wallpaper Challenge.
For those of you who want to know about my summer event, I'll reveal it on the 20th. I would have announced it earlier, but you know, it'd be hard to host without a functional computer.

My computer diied. I typed a long message on my mom's iPad to that effect, but then the stupid thing froze up on me. It'll be some time before I come back for reall. In the meantime, I will lurk.

Update: The good news is that I got a new computer. The bad news is that it will be at least 10 days before it's delivered. Then I have to set it up and stuff. So it'll be some tme before I've fully returned. What I'm really miffed about is that my summer event won't be up and running at the time I wantt it to. Oh well. See you guys in June?
Update 2: My new computer will arrive on June 11. At least that's what they estimate. In the meantime I'm starting to g out of my mind. I WANT TO COMMENT ON STUFF SO BAD! I tried that commenting a littlle bit but this stupid keyboard is UGH! I guess now would be a good time to thank everyone, so thanks for all your messages of support, guys. I really do appreciate it.
Update 3: I broke the keyboard that came with the iPad's case. Now I'm typing on th built in keyboard, which is even more of a pain. Meanwhile there's a holdup with my new computer. It's still scheduled to come tomorrow. I hope it actually does. I feel so out of the loop.
Update 4: So, my computer didn't come yesterday like it was supposed to. Apparently, there was a holdup a few days ago. I don't know when it's coming in now. This has been so awful. I'm typing from my mom's computer now, just so you know.
I'm typing this post from my mom's computer because my computer's screen went out two days ago. That's why I haven't been around. As you know, the timing couldn't have been much worse, with the Comment Slam up and running and ACen in two days. At least a repair person is coming tomorrow. Hopefully, he can fix things. Otherwise, I'll have to get a new computer, which will be a pain in the butt. I'll keep you guys posted when I can.
OK, so now my computer is working fine all of a sudden. I don't know what happened. All I know is that I should probably start shopping for a new one. This makes me kind of sad because I love my baby. *Cries.*
