Capture the Seraph

Previous: Duped

Kita opened her eyes looking around her. What was once black pitch was midnight blue skies and a beautiful full moon above her head. She turned her head slightly seeing the front doors to Urahara's Shop.

"The gods released me, but why here?"

Using his familiarity with the human realm, he knew the shortest distance to the seraphs spiritual pressure. He had to get there quick because he knew that would not hold Aizen for long. Toshiro smiled to himself remembering to look on their faces. Priceless! Toshiro shunpoed to Kisuke's Shop and saw Kita standing on the door step looking off into the distance. How should he approach her? He knew she did not trust him. Hell! He didn't trust himself!

Quickly Kita spun she knew the reiatsu that just entered the human realm, "Aizen, Nnoitra, Zeshin and faint traces of her Master."

"Kita," he whispered.

Kita spun to the voice. There behind her in the shadows stood Zeshin. She slowly took a step back from him. She shook her head, "Stay away from me Zeshin, Toshiro. Whoever you are."

She knew she had to get clear of anyone that might try to take her back to Aizen now that her memories where fully awaken.

He walked up close to her and stared her sorrow and determination in his turquoise eyes. "I'm sorry," he quickly struck her on the back of neck knocking her out cold.

Toshiro caught her before she fell to the ground and reached into her pocket. He knew exactly what he was looking for, the Reiryoku Sequencer. It was the one Kisuke had given her for her escape; he was going to use it now to make them think she was still there. It wasn't there...

He quickly searched her other pocket, and when he didn't find it her searched around her. Did it fall out?! Then he noticed something small protruding from under her shirt, just above her breast. "Don't tell me..." he trailed off as he stared uncomfortably. He folded down the hem and low and behold there it was. "Geez, are breasts pockets for women?!"

He sighed and added a bit of his reitsu to it, changing its shape from a small watch battery to more of a marble shape. Toshiro opened the Garganta and carried Kita through it before anyone even realized what had happened.

Murderous Intent

The dark outlines of Los Noches disappeared behind Ulquiorra as he stepped through into the living world and severed his link to his home of eternal night. A single street lamp flickered on the quiet street and a discarded cup nudged his foot; a small obstacle he could easily overcome in this evening of death.

Masking his spiritual pressure, the cuatro espada strode towards the confectionery shop Kita was known to haunt. The closer he got, the more his anger and murderous desire rose. For a moment he lost sight of the true goal and indulged in the fantasy of driving his hand through the throat of his victim. But it was only for a moment.

Reason and diligence took over once more and he reminded himself that he was a creature of meticulous design. Nothing would stop him from crushing the immediate problem: Kisuke Urahara. Just the name sent a wash of moodiness over Ulquiorra.

"...he said he'd rather go alone." A voice drifted through the paper-thin walls of the shop and warped the silence.

"Of course he would. He doesn't understand the risks of entering Hueco Mundo as a Soul Reaper." A terribly familiar voice chided. Ulquiorra's hands itched to tear his throat out, but he waited. Listening.

"I just hope Hitsugaya hasn't bitten off more he can chew. It would be a real shame if...."

Ulquiorra stepped away. Having heard enough to confirm one of his brooding suspicions, he left his murderous anger behind and turned his thoughts to his wayward fraction. He had a job for her....
