While in Karakura, Kisuke along with Tessai walked down the street headed back to the shop from picking up more supplies. Tessai stopped walking as well as Kisuke as they both turned looking behind them. There above town the sky was torn open as they watched swarms of hollows ascend down on Karakura. They looked to one another and sighed heavily.

“Here we go again,” Kisuke said.

“He will never give up until he has what he wants.” Tessai replied.

Kisuke looked back toward the gargantas opening his eyes focusing there. He saw, but barely, Aizen and three others the hollows still poured out. Shaking his head he took one step forward as Tessai heard him say.

“We got work to do,” Kisuke then flashed step and was gone. Off to stop the hollows Aizen had released on town.

Murderous Intent

The dark outlines of Los Noches disappeared behind Ulquiorra as he stepped through into the living world and severed his link to his home of eternal night. A single street lamp flickered on the quiet street and a discarded cup nudged his foot; a small obstacle he could easily overcome in this evening of death.

Masking his spiritual pressure, the cuatro espada strode towards the confectionery shop Kita was known to haunt. The closer he got, the more his anger and murderous desire rose. For a moment he lost sight of the true goal and indulged in the fantasy of driving his hand through the throat of his victim. But it was only for a moment.

Reason and diligence took over once more and he reminded himself that he was a creature of meticulous design. Nothing would stop him from crushing the immediate problem: Kisuke Urahara. Just the name sent a wash of moodiness over Ulquiorra.

"...he said he'd rather go alone." A voice drifted through the paper-thin walls of the shop and warped the silence.

"Of course he would. He doesn't understand the risks of entering Hueco Mundo as a Soul Reaper." A terribly familiar voice chided. Ulquiorra's hands itched to tear his throat out, but he waited. Listening.

"I just hope Hitsugaya hasn't bitten off more he can chew. It would be a real shame if...."

Ulquiorra stepped away. Having heard enough to confirm one of his brooding suspicions, he left his murderous anger behind and turned his thoughts to his wayward fraction. He had a job for her....
