Yami-
I followed the scale Ryuu tossed. The place was still destroyed from the other night.
When I saw the Reaper I walked right up to him. The Reaper looked up at me from where he was knelt and stood up. “ You’re not on my list….?” He asked confused as I stopped in front of him.
I smirked at him and chuckled. “ No, I came to take your scythe.”
He frowned at me and gripped his scythe. “ Don’t mess with a Reaper girl. We are not to mess with.”
I gripped the handle of my Katana and pulled it out. “ Oh, I know.” I didn’t give him time to respond and jumped at him. He quickly jumped back like I expected and I followed through. He dodged my attack and continued to dodge.
I stopped attacking and glared at him. I could feel my fire surrounding me and he looked at me concerned and attacked. It took a couple seconds for my power to fully awake and I made a small hand motion for Ryuu. I soon knew he saw it as a fire ball landed in front of the reaper before he reached me. The reaper stopped and went after Ryuu who came closer to the ground to get a better aim of destraction.
When my power fully awoke the fire around me spiked around me and my eyes glowed slightly. I glared at the reaper and ran towards him katana in hand. Ryuu must've seen me coming because he threw a fireball at the Reaper causing him to fall back.
I stepped on his arm that was holding the scythe and he glared up at me. He was burnt and was covered in cuts, he looked like he had little to no energy left. I expected Reapers to be stronger then this. If this is all they were then the hype about them was to much. I pulled my katana up to take the final kill shot till a voice behind me spoke up.
“ Drop the katana and let the Kid go.”
I looked over to see a bigger Reaper holding Ryuu with his blade around his neck.
I put more pressure on the smaller Reapers arm and glared at the bigger one as the smaller one let out a slight scream of pain.
The bigger Reaper pulled Ryuu closer to him and looked at me sternly. “ I would advise letting him go.”
I glared at him and my vision turned slightly red. “ I would say the same.”
I wasn’t sure how far I could go before he hurt Ryuu but I had to make sure not to push it too far. The Reapers couldn’t hurt me but Ryuu was a different story. I stepped slightly harder on the smaller Reapers arm and he let out another slight scream. I glared slightly more at the bigger Reaper. He moved his blade slightly just enough to draw blood from Ryuu. I frowned and took my foot off of the smaller Reaper’s arm.
I screamed as Ryuu hit the ground. My vision turned fully red as my fire surrounded me. The fire was black and the Reaper look just as surprised as I was. It grew out from around me as I lost my senses.
When my senses finally came back I looked around to see two piles of ash with scythes next to them and Ryuu still laying on the ground.I quickly ran over to Ryuu and saw he wasn’t breathing. My fire went out and I felt a tear run down my face. It didn't get far till it evaporated to nothing. So did the others that started down my face.
I leaned down and hugged Ryuu crying my eyes out. I don’t know how long I was crying my eyes out till a light started shining. I took my head off Ryuu’s chest to see my hands being the source of the glow. I quickly took my hands off Ryuu’s chest to look at them closer but the faded out to nothing the farther away from his chest they got. I slowly moved them closer to Ryuu and the closer they got the brighter they got. I set them on Ryuu’s chest again and they glowed bright and Ryuu’s body started slightly glowing. I wasn’t sure what was happening but I hoped it was something good, anything good to bring back Ryuu.
Ryuu sat up gasping and I fell back from him in shock. I hit him slightly. “ YOU IDIOT!!”
He grabbed his arm and looked at me shocked. “ Ow why did you hit me?!”
“ You Stupid Idiot Died On Me!”
“ And That’s My Fault?!!”
“YES!” I quickly hugged him and I felt the tears running down my face again. “ Stupid Idiot! I thought I lost you!”
