Caption Battle: No One Will Ever Know...
"It's that time again..."
"To chase the double rainbow?"
"To not stop believing?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"
But first, last week's winners:
In third place, not really saying what she's saying: twilight luna!
Saying "only in Japan" for this is just about as redundant as the Delicious Happy Fluffy Pink Cupcake of Redundant Happiness.
...so I shall keep it to myself.
In second place being deliciously succinct as always: KeenHavoc!
Welcome to the internet, here are the forums.
And in the coveted first place for just giving a really complete, all-points caption with a wonderful finish... Koobaxion!
And as the young couple looked on, Pikachu was beaten up by Naruto, a Wailord cosplayer, and a furry. It was a sad day, indeed.
Lots of good captions this week! Well done, folks!
This week's screencap comes courtesy of KeenHavoc and features the series Fullmetal Alchemist: The Regular Version (as confirmed by the wonderful people in the chatroom since I forgot). If you don't know who these people are yet, Haruhi help you all...
You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.
And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. So good luck, and remember: Guile's theme goes with everything.

Your Art in theOtaku's Header!
Hear ye! Hear ye!
How would you like your art or design to appear on *every* page of theOtaku.com? Interested? We welcome you to participate in the first ever theOtaku.com Mascot Slam!
Over the next few weeks we'd like to feature your art in place of our normal Spikey header.
Here's how to participate...
(1) Check out the dimensions and look of our current mascot header by itself:
(2) Download the blue background the mascot sits on:
(3) Design whatever otaku-related image you'd like in the space. We welcome your original characters, interpretations of our Spikey mascot, or beautifully reimagined screen captures. The only restriction is you cannot use someone else's art without their permission.
(4) Make sure your design fits with our color scheme, blue/black/white are the safest colors.
(5) Save and upload the file to your world or to a website like imgur.
(6) Comment here with the link and tell a few words about it.
On Sunday, October 3rd, we're going to announce the entries that will get featured in place of our regular header. The entries we choose will be up on our site for a minimum of 24 hours but could be up longer depending on how many we receive.
Comment here with your entries or any questions!
We look forward to seeing what you come up with.
UPDATE: Also feel free to put your theO username in the header somewhere small so you get proper credit :)
Caption Battle: Cartoon Violence...
"It's that time again..."
"To bleach the sink?"
"To learn why Bayonetta's head is so small?"
"No... it's time for this week's caption battle!"
But first, last week's winners:
In third place preying on my love of internet videos: 1dev13!
Looks like Shampoo and Ukyo are making a reaction video to Two Girls One Cup. Oh, pity...So. Much. Pity.
In second place, playing on my love of Takahashi: Ace!
Shampoo: You mean after countless years of dedication Rumiko Takahashi will just... abandon us?
Ukyo: And HOW LONG does her next series last?!
And in the coveted first place, snacking on my love of Star Wars... CelestialSushi!
Remember: you don't have to be an "official" Sith to accidentally Force Choke someone.
Yes, I can be that fickle sometimes. Moving on...
This week's screencap comes courtesy of red tigress and features the series Hayate no Gotoku! Frankly, she gave me this screencap a long time ago, so I forget who everyone is. Most likely, it won't even matter - good luck:

Comment Box Internet Explorer (Fixed!)
We are working hard to fix the comment box as it stopped working in the latest version of Internet Explorer. Apologies for the issue, in the meantime we recommend using another browser (e.g. Google Chrome, FireFox, or Safari). We'll update once the issue is fixed (hopefully very soon).
UPDATE: The issue has been fixed.
