10 - Premium Memberships Launch:
theOtaku.com started as a free service and, well, has remained as such for those who wish it to stay that way. For others who are maybe good for a few newer features, there are premium memberships.
No more ads, easier browsing, automatic signatures, extra post/World limits, “And a TASY cupcake” (oh Adam…) were topped off with all kinds of insane discounts and memberships to other online services. It brought theOtaku.com a little closer to Adam’s dreams of a fully user-supported website. Well, at least a little closer. Probably still a ways to go.
