Otaku Jeopardy!

So, Korey over at OB has created an all-new community-wide event called Otaku Jeopardy.

It's been a while since we've had a true OB event, so it's great to see people working together to create something new.

The premise is pretty easy to grasp and I think it should be a lot of fun to watch as well.

Gavin has also told me that he's planning an event, which should launch just after this one. So hopefully we'll see some real activity in the Community Events forum over the coming weeks.

Latest RPG auditions

OB's Theater usually features something interesting, whether you're a reader or a writer. I'm happy to say that even when things go quieter, we still have a pretty good selection of new RPGs for people to join. Here are just a couple of the ones that have cropped up within recent weeks.

Adventure of Space Bounty Hunters (by Dragons Wolfie)

Hood (by DeLarge)

There are others recently that have either just started or are on the verge of doing so. Even if an RPG has just started, I recommend sending a PM to its creator if you're interested in joining.

The Lounge Round-Up

Apologies for my long absence - I have started a new job and it's taken up quite a bit more time than expected!

I thought I'd post a collection of some of the more interesting/notable threads that have popped up recently in The Lounge.

Your Idea of a Romantic Date?

So long, Geocities

Steps to become a superhero

There are plenty more great threads in The Lounge at the moment, so I encourage you to head on over and check 'em out.

Padded rooms ahoy!

Well, it's been a while fellow Otakuites - apologies for my absence. It seems that this page died off a little while I was away, too.

If you've been around for a while, you might remember a little thread called The Padded Room Party. It was pretty hectic back in the day. I'm pleased to say that Shy has resurrected it though - and it's doing pretty well.

The Padded Room Party: Random Thoughts

Lots of discussions going on in here - everything from rollercoasters to computer viruses. Have fun!

OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty 2008 - Final

For those unfamiliar, the Nifty Fifty celebrates fifty of the most significant members/threads/events throughout the previous year on OB. All Otakuites are welcome to contribute and now the final list has been published.

A big thanks go out to all of the contributors to this year's event.
