Digimon: Call of the Ocean

Chapter 6: The True Evil God

As T.K. and Kari looked out over the ocean, they saw that whatever was coming towards them was big and coming fast. The thing emerged from from the water so fast that it created a huge tidal-wave. Seraphimon and Ophanimon grabbed their human partners and flew away only seconds before the wave hit. The cliff which T.K. and Kari were on a moment ago was completely destroyed by the wave. From the air, the two humans and their Digimon could see what had emerged from the depths. They saw what looked like a gigantic red crocodile that was at least a hundred feet long. The crocodile had two long tails and two blue fins growing out along its back. Occasionally rainbow colored smoke would puff out of the creatures nostrils.

"What is that thing?" T.K. asked, though he didn't expect an answer. "I have heard of this creature," Seraphimon replied, "The creature is known as Leviamon, the Devil Beast."

"Pathetic Divermon," Leviamon said in a deep reptilian voice that seemed to be filled with hate. "Your obsession with that human girl has led to Dragomon's destruction. Now it shall lead to yours!"

Leviamon than opened its massive jaws and breathed out the rainbow colored smog that was puffing out of its nostrils. The smoke dissolved everything on the land, turning it to dust.

"Worthless creatures," Leviamon said in a disgusted hate filled tone, "Now it looks like I shall have to destroy the humans myself."

With those words, Leviamon began to head towards the strange cloud formation in the distance. It seemed that Leviamon didn't notice that the two angel Digimon had flown T.K. and Kari to safety just before he emerged from the ocean. As T.K. watched the giant Digimon, he remembered what the old Divermon had said about Dragomon being a herald for seven other gods that were far more powerful, and T.K. wondered if Leviamon was one of those gods. In the end though, T.K. decided that it didn't matter if Leviamon was one of these seven evil gods or not, or if there even were seven evil gods or not. All that mattered was that Leviamon intended to destroy the human race, and that he was heading to the portal that would allow him to do just that.

"We have to stop Leviamon!" T.K. exclaimed, "If we don't, than the human race is doomed."

"But how can we stop him?" Kari asked with a touch of hopelessness in her voice, "That monster is so big."

Seraphimon and Ophanimon than looked at each other.

"Don't worry," Ophanimon said to Kari in a comforting tone, "We'll take care of it."

The two angel Digimon set their human partners back on land and headed towards Leviamon. Seraphimon began bombing Leviamon with clusters of fireballs. The giant crocodile Digimon roared out in pain. As Leviamon roared, Ophanimon flew into the creature's mouth. Using her javelin, Ophanimon fired a beam of golden light into the roof of Leviamon's mouth that pierced through the top of Leviamon's head. As Leviamon's corpse began to dissolve into particles of data, the two angel Digimon flew at warp speed back to T.K. and Kari. With their human companions in hand, Seraphimon and Ophanimon flew into the cloud formation that was indeed a portal to the human world, leaving behind the Dark Ocean.

The air on the other side of the portal was cool and had the salty smell of the ocean. Like shooting stars, the two angel Digimon flew their charges back to Japan. The trip only took what seemed like fifteen or twenty minutes. They Digimon landed their human partners on the first beach in Japan they saw, and once safely on the ground, Seraphimon reverted into Patamon's pre-evolved form, the rabbit like Tokomon, and Ophanimon reverted into Gatomon's pre-evolved form, the puppy like Salamon. The two Digimon were exhausted, but in a day or two they would digivolve back into Patamon and Gatomon and be back to their old selves. As the sun began to set on that beach, T.K. and Kari looked at each other, and then shared a passionate kiss.

It took a few days for T.K. and Kari to get home. The beach that their Digimon partners landed them on was quite far from Tokyo. Kari had to arrange to take her final exams another time because the trip home would not allow her to be back in time to take them, but after the ordeal she had just been through, Kari was in no condition to take the exams on time anyway. It wasn't too long before T.K. had moved into Kari's apartment, he had gotten a job at a local newspaper. Kari would sometimes still have nightmares about the Dark Ocean, but nightmares were all they were, and they would eventually fade. The call of the ocean had been silenced forever with Dragomon's destruction.

Still, there were times when T.K. thought back to what the old Divermon had said about the seven evil gods that Dragomon served. If Leviamon was one of those seven gods, than that meant that there were still six other evil Digimon out there that were just as deadly as Leviamon. T.K. wasn't going to worry about it too much though. If there were indeed six evil god Digimon still out there, than the DigiDestined would unite to fight them, just as they had fought other evil Digimon in the past. For now, all was peaceful again.
