I watched Snow walk away and made no attempt to run after him. He looked like he wanted to have some time alone. I looked down. Maybe I said the wrong thing.

“Don’t look so miserable. He’ll be all right. As you can see, he has a temper sometimes.” I felt Talon mess my hair up.

“Yeah, I guess I get on his nerves.” Lee shrugged. “Anyway, I’m going to split before I cause any more trouble.” He waved a little and left. Which just left Talon and I together alone. Which was awkward to say the least.

“So. What are you thinking?” He asked.

“I’m thinking, I wish I could make him feel better.” I said.

“You aren’t scared?” He blinked. I looked at him and shook my head.

“He was concerned for me. Yeah he went a little overboard, but it was, only because, he cared.” I said slowly.

“…” Talon started to walk away and I scrambled to his side.

“Don’t leave me again!” I huffed. He looked at me and laughed. “And stop laughing at me!”

“Sorry, can’t help it. You’re not normal.” He said. “I’ll lead you to him. Just remember that he can get really nasty in the blink of an eye. He’s always getting into trouble because he can’t control his anger sometimes. It’s a lot better than it used to be though.”

“What do you mean?”

“He, wasn’t always a good guy.” Talon said slowly. “When he got here, he raged a lot. It took him a while to be able to wander around freely.”

“I have a hard time believing that. He’s been so sweet.” I said honestly. Sure Snow scared me at first, but he didn’t seem like he was vicious.

“You haven’t seen him snap. And I hope you never will.” He said quietly. He looked up and sniffed. “Over there. Just look in the trees. You’ll find him if you call out to him.”

“Ok, and Talon, thank you.”

“Oh…yeah yeah, bye…” He muttered, then spread his wings and took off quickly. I slowly weaved my way through the trees, keeping an eye out for Snow as I went.

“Snow? Hey, where are you? Will you please come out?” I called. “I’m lost.”

“You aren’t gone?” I heard behind me. I turned and hugged Snow.

“No, why would I be gone? You didn’t scare me, you startled me, but I wasn’t scared.” I felt his arms wrap around me.

“…if you say so.” He said, but I could hear a smile in his voice.

“Will you take me back to the castle? Sorry I ruined your training play time thingy.” I apologized.

“No, it’s alright. We will find some other time.” He took my hand gently and we interlaced our fingers.

“Ok, you and him were really amazing, from what I saw anyway.” I complimented. I saw a light blush spread across his cheeks.

“Thank you, but we were just playing, we weren’t actually fighting. If we were you would have been in serious danger.” He said. “Do you spar?” I immediately shook my head.

“Oh no no no, physical strength and fighting are not my strong suits.” I said.

“Maybe I should teach you.” He said thoughtfully.

“Oh yes! Then I can be a ninja!” I hopped and used my free hand to strike a ninja pose. Snow chuckled and smiled at me.

“I don’t know how you can do that.” He said.

“Do what?” I asked.

“Make me smile.” We stopped at the castle gates and I just looked at him. “So, do you need to go?”

“Oh…yeah…” I looked at the watch sadly then felt something warm press against my cheek. Snow stood back up and nodded.

“I’ll be waiting.” He said. I touched the spot on my cheek where he kissed me and I blushed like crazy.

“O-Ok…” I pushed the button on my watch and watched Snow slowly fade away again.
