I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

The Kokanee ranger may potentially die in the near future in a Jason Todd voting manner.
The European French feel that the Quebecois accent sounds funny; everyone thinks that the Newfies sound funny.
The national summer sport is lacrosse, but hockey's the one that really counts.
The Germans invented the word "stormtroopers" because of us.
We've pissed off a very small number of countries considering our size and general international impact.
It was the most obvious thing to invent, but since we did it first, the space shuttle-based robotic arm is called the "Canadarm" and it proudly rubs that fact in the face of every astronaut orbiting the earth.
So for today, I want everyone to get comfy, open up an Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale (or a Tim Horton's Iced Capp' if that's more your style), dig into a Tube Steak and some french fries topped with cheese curds and gravy and top it all off with a Nanaimo bar. Give a nod to the Queen if she's lookin', give an excited shout if the football team's gonna run it during 3rd down, and yell at Parliament Hill for something they're probably doing wrong. And in the evening, relax in front of the Death Note dub or an Ellen Page movie.
My name is James, and well . . .
Happy Canada Day, everyone, and happy birthday, country o' mine. I reckon this year should be a priddy good one, eh?
(And yes, our beer commericals are just. That. Good.)
Yesterday was productive. Had dim sum for lunch with the parents, followed by chilling a bit with Stupid Ed at my place, followed by hitting the mall with Stupid Ed so he could buy a new pair of jeans, followed by our meeting up with Adam at the mall, followed by our going to the theater to see The Incredible Hulk, followed by my meeting "Superstore Steve" outside the theater to give him a ticket, followed by the four of us watching The Incredible Hulk (amazing movie, enjoyed it greatly), followed by going to a Korean place for dinner and beer and Wonder Girls on little TV monitors.
Then I finished my Fan Words homework and caught up on the Death Note I missed on Friday.
Yeah, that was a good day. And yes, you may all now feel jealous that Adam has actually met Stupid Ed now.
Anyway, one of the Shinsengumi-types is having a house-warming today, so I'll be doing that. Peace!
So yeah. Beth's awesome and already processed what is sure to be the most epic anime-type quiz in the history of the universe that's been two years in the making after Anime Evolution 2006. The outline for this quiz has actually been on my computer for the better part of those two years, and the only reason it's only coming out now is because I never had the result images due to a powerful lack of photoshop skills. And then Amenonine saved me and now all is golden.
Other than that, saw Cirque Du Soleil's "Corteo" show last night with Adam. Good times were had by all. I was laughing and clapping and shouting all the way through; Adam kept most of his feelings more internal than I did. All in all, freakin' amazing. Everyone needs to check out a Cirque Du Soleil show at some point in life.
Other than that . . . Stupid Ed's in town so this should make for a fun Saturday.
So . . . last night I barbecued some steaks (notice I do that a lot these days), played the aniki at some Wii Sports (his first time playing Wii, I think), helped a motivated high school graduate pursuing employment in a fast paced and flexible environment tune up her resume a little . . .
. . . made a shameless plug over at the Watercooler . . .
. . . oh yeah, I also submitted a quiz to Guru after almost 2 years in the making . . . . . thanks a ton again for the spontaneous Photoshopping 'til 4am, amenonine!
Started reading Kotaku a lot more these days. Holy crap, I'm floored by how man asinine things people come up with these days about stuff they don't even research . . .
