I love how this year, Chinese New Year and the 2010 Winter Olympics are happening at the same time. This is gonna be the most balls-tripping year yet.
Well, dragon dance at the Olympic Zone in Richmond is today. Also, I know the torch relay is also happening that day and there's gonna be a lot of road closures and stuff . . . hmm . . . . . should be fun. Maybe I'll see a show or two?
And so it begins . . . here's hoping I don't die.
. . . I set up my online banking stuff for my brand new MasterCard which will get me points when I pay bills with it and such so I can buy crap from work and has PayPass which is nifty and is connected to my bank account that gets my income so it's super convenient and let's face it this credit card is gonna make for all sorts of great convenience!
And then today, I can't remember for the life of me what I chose as my login ID for this online banking type stuff.
Eff.
-7:00pm: Off work.
-7:25pm: Arrive at home; I need to start laundry fast so as to finish before 9pm and before I piss off my neighbours.
-7:26pm: Collecting laundry into basket, all the lighter-coloured-than-not stuff.
-7:28pm: Have the painful desire to defecate. Had been hoping this could be done after laundry so as to save time. Didn't work out.
-7:33pm: Finish up and clean up in time to realize that I only had 2 quarters in the entire house (the machines require $1.50, and as such would need 2 loonies and 4 quarters total to wash and dry). Eventually decide to get quarters out from the car once I start my load.
-7:34pm: halfway down the three flights of stairs, realize I forgot to grab laundry detergent. Drop laundry basket off in laundry room and rush back up to suite.
-7:35pm: with detergent and fabric softener, finally begin washing load of clothes. Shortly afterward, take trip out to street to grab 2 quarters from the car's stash of parking money.
-7:37pm: Finally glad to be able to relax for 25 minutes or so only to find key does not turn in door to suite. Try turning and forcing for another 10 seconds. Eventually look up and realize that door says "16" and not "20". Curse in mind for potentially scaring the crap out of neighbours; quickly rush through fire door to other side of building's third floor, feeling sheepish and embarrassed.
-7:39pm: Begin blogging; decide that "FML" succinctly explains the past 15 minutes.
Joss, you had to kill him, didn't you?
That said, this show got amazing this last little bit. Also, Felicia Day. Also, I can't get over how much I came to love Victor/Sierra (or Priya/Tony, if you will). I was a fan. Thanks, Dollhouse - I'll add you to the list of little shows that I'll spend the rest of my life telling friends about and wishing that it didn't have to end so quickly.
Also, fuck you, Fox.
That is all. Here on out, tell me when the box set comes out, okay?
Since the incredible Shadowlight did it, I have my Enneagram Test results in:
9 - the Peacemaker
"I am at peace"
Peacemakers are receptive, good-natured, and supportive. They seek union with others and the world around them.
How to Get Along with Me
• If you want me to do something, how you ask is important. I especially don't like expectations or pressure.
• I like to listen and to be of service, but don't take advantage of this.
• Listen until I finish speaking, even though I meander a bit.
• Give me time to finish things and make decisions. It's OK to nudge me gently and nonjudgmentally.
• Ask me questions to help me get clear.
• Tell me when you like how I look. I'm not averse to flattery.
• Hug me, show physical affection. It opens me up to my feelings.
• I like a good discussion but not a confrontation.
• Let me know you like what I've done or said.
• Laugh with me and share in my enjoyment of life.
What I Like About Being a NINE
• being nonjudgmental and accepting
• caring for and being concerned about others
• being able to relax and have a good time
• knowing that most people enjoy my company; I'm easy to be around
• my ability to see many different sides of an issue and to be a good mediator and facilitator
• my heightened awareness of sensations, aesthetics, and the here and now
• being able to go with the flow and feel one with the universe
What's Hard About Being a NINE
• being judged and misunderstood for being placid and/or indecisive
• being critical of myself for lacking initiative and discipline
• being too sensitive to criticism; taking every raised eyebrow and twitch of the mouth personally
• being confused about what I really want
• caring too much about what others will think of me
• not being listened to or taken seriously
NINEs as Children Often
• feel ignored and that their wants, opinions, and feelings are unimportant
• tune out a lot, especially when others argue
• are "good" children: deny anger or keep it to themselves
NINEs as Parents
• are supportive, kind, and warm
• are sometimes overly permissive or nondirective
Good to know. Also, if anyone's curious, I'm also ENFP in Myers-Briggs.
