News: Gundam Origin To Get Anime Treatment

Today, ANN reveals that "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin", Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's 2001 manga re-imagining of 1979's "Mobile Suit Gundam", will soon be receiving an anime adaptation treatment following the release of its final chapter, which is scheduled to appear in the August issue of "Monthly Gundam Ace". Although the format genre for the anime project has not yet been indicated, this anime will likely to be a 2nd remake of "Mobile Suit Gundam" (the first remake being "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Movie Trilogy") since the manga itself depicts the One Year War and centers around the White Base crew.
