The Answer...

Shamefully, most of you chose condoms. I would just like to ask, have any of you walked into the store and asked a worker, "Where are your condoms?" So no, we don't get much of that. As for the Zhu Zhus, I don't even know what those are, let alone if we carry them. Nobody asked me for them either. The Number One Item is...

Survey Says...

Since I work salesfloor at Super Target, it is my job to help guests find what they are looking for. However, there is one item that seems to be most asked about. Despite its very large fame, it is in a relatively small and obscure location of the store, thus hard to find.
So! Take a guess in the comment box. What is the most sought-for product at Target? Winner recieves a special prize.

Well, I'm taking my time...

"In heaven all the interesting people are missing."

Hey all.
So, I got paid yesterday, which means first day of Christmas shopping today. I laugh at the fools who wait in line to get petty-slighly significant deals at major retail stores on Black Friday. Alls I needs is my trusty 10% Target employee discount card, and I'm good to go. I got a CD for my brother, who will thankfully only be staying a few days for the holidays, a DVD for my mom, and a record for my dad. While at the record store, I had a few bucks to spare, so I picked up a Boston Boston record (only three bucks! Score!) and an Animals album that looks like this for fifteen.

Unfortunately, it's a remake from 1981, so it's not an original. But, it has some really good songs on there, and it had no scratches or blips or anything, so it played perfectly. I got the Boston album for two songs in particular, Foreplay and Long Time. It rocks. However, my parents walked in while I blasted it. They like Boston, and that got them in a record playing mood. I don't like them touching the stereo; they don't know how to work it without scratching up a record and they always blast the loud songs. So I had to sit through Billy Squier and Elton John, and I had enough and turned it down when 'Jimmy and the Jets' at over 6 db, which was an annoying-ass song, was making the dog whine.

The Brawl tournament on Wednesday for the anime club was a huge success. We made a total of 80 USD. We would have made only 60, but the winner, who was a club member that just never went to the meetings, donated the twenty dollar prize money back to the club. And we would have made more money if some of the club members paid to play. I wasn't there the first bit to make sure things went optimally, so the stupid as shit VP said 'go ahead'. She also made the mistake of not knowing what the hell to do for a tournament, so contestants started making the rules. I eventually came and became the announcer (ATTENTION DUELISTS!! was often said), but it was too late to stop the stupidity and all the matches were best out of three, and eventually a loser's bracket, which was a terrible idea. Those that were responsible for making the loser's bracket left early, so I had to overstay a few hours to see the stupid thing through. Morons. But it was all good, made us lots of money, and we'll most likely do it again in February or March. This Tuesday is the Christmas party, which means will be doing what we do every week (hang out, watch anime) except with snacks and beverages. The VP tried to screw around with things again by suggesting 'Secret Santa' and I think dress-up at one point, but luckily, the club has learned to pretty much ignore her/shoot down her ideas.
Oh, and we chose to do Code Geass for Acen. Can't wait to be Lloyd, Earl of Pudding.

He's badass.
ECC band holiday concert was Wednesday. It was lame.
My high school's holiday concert, which I want to attend, was supposed to be Wednesday and Thursday, but Wednesday got postponed to Sunday due to the snow. I had to go to a dinner on Thursday, so I really want somebody to cover my shift tomorrow night so I can go, but it looks like that won't happen. Shucks.
Another concert I missed out on due to lack of funds was the Distant Worlds concert. This is like, supposed to be a huge thing for Nobuo Uematsu's group. Their first stop was to be tonight in Chicago, and I wanted to go, but it kinda snuck on me, and I didn't feel like parting with 60 bucks that should go to buying presents for people. Oh well. Good thing I'm not a fangirl, else I'd be losing my mind.
And any old school gamer will find this amusing.

It's something that I have to do...I feel like pwning noobs.

Hey all.
So, today, with my hard-earned Target money (I have about none left), I did something I normally don't like doing and haven't done so since early May.
I got a haircut.
What's more, I demanded that it be cut rather short. I'm still not happy with it; I have come to the conclusion that I have no sense of fashion, and basically told the stylist "It's up to you," and now I see I should have had the bangs a little bit longer. Oh well, I wear a hat all the time anyway.

I went and saw The Men Who Stare at Goats. Pretty good movie, I enjoyed the abundance of Boston in the soundtrack. Boston rocks, go listen to Foreplay/Long Time.

Anime club is hosting a Brawl tournament next Wedensday, so that should rake in lots of money. There's a lot of people into Brawl at ECC, so it should be fun. The club is getting close to picking a group cosplay for Acen; right now it's down to Code Geass and Yu-gi-oh. To be specific, they don't want to go as Yu-gi-oh, they want to go as Yu-gi-oh Abridged. Yeah, ponder that for a sec...I called dibs on Duke Devlin, so that I can have an endless loop of Sexy Back on a speaker inside my vest. Another one wanted to be the Announcer Guy, so I'm gonna bring an amp and microphone for him so we can stick it over the hotel railing and yell "ATTENTION DUELISTS! MY HAIR IS VERY LOUD!!"

Last night I drove to Chicago to scout out an internet cafe. It's always a good idea to get city driving practice, so I took the opportunity. However, it's not a good idea to drive into an unfamiliar area of Chicago at night. I averaged out the good and bad ideas to nullify each other, so I figured it would be OK. And it was. The cafe is awesome; it's got a bunch of pc's, lots of games (it's a Steam cafe, so it has pretty much all of their games as well) as well as DotA, and even beta keys for Heroes of Newerth, which is a standalone version of DotA in the making that won't require Warcraft III The Frozen Throne. I played that, and that'll be cool. They also have the three consoles, as well as a projection room for Rock Band and stuff. They also have random guitars sitting around for some reason. The cafe part of it has every kind of caffiene you'd need to last the night, so that's good. And the rates are reasonable. I'm gonna try and go again tonight to show a friend it, if he decides to come. I'm gonna make going there a weekly to biweekly thing. For the visually demanding, here's a link to their website.

I feel that more stuff has happened/happening, but I can't remember. Oh well.

Oh, and I lol at the people who voted down some of my entries completely off lists on 100TIL.com. I thought they were good.....

Ticket to Ride

"There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality."

Hey all.
So I just noticed that I haven't put up a legitimate post in ages. So here's the post.
To address events since the car accident, my transportation has greatly improved. On Monday, my dad finally got a shiny new car: a 2010 Toyota Rav4.

It had like, 32 miles on it when we bought it. I wanted to take a picture of the odometer when it was lower than the temperature, since there's a thermometer reading right next to it, but I forgot. Anyway, it's pretty cool. It's a 4WD V6, and has a lot of cargo space. It came with three months of free satellite radio, which is really cool. Also, the CD player can hold up to 6 CDs! Holy shit! And not just regular CDs, you can compress the files on a CD-RW and it will still play! That's boss. Not to mention it has a little jack for Ipods. I don't own one, but my friend already put it to use. It's got pretty good MPG, and has a display that tells me the current MPG average. It's just a really nice car. I normally don't name things, but the thought of it did come across my mind. I'm sure I'll always just address it as the Rav or Toyota, but since Kat's Mitskuni is a Toyota Camry, it would be logical that this bigger Toyota would be Mori.
My dad is an idiot though, we were looking at the Chevy Equinox for a long time, and my dad was gettin pretty rough on the dealers. That was a nicer car, I thought, and he bought this one for more money. So that made me think a lot less of him than I already do. But whatever, I has car.

I have started working at Target, my first day was Saturday. I'm being trained in Sales Floor and Cashier, and I like cashier better. Nonstop action, though I do mess up a lot. Plus I have to start memorizing code numbers for fruit and vegetables, which will be a pain. Bananas are 4011, by the way. Sales floor is just stocking and zoning, which can get a bit tedious. But I don't care, I still have fun doing either job, and now I'll start getting paid! Woohoo! First payment is Friday, so once my bank clears the check, my friend and I are gonna check out an internet cafe in Schaumburg. Then possibly a Kiss the Sky Records trip. I need new vinyl.

November 21st was supposed to be the last day of my GED testing, but stupid had to happen. Target scheduled me to work at eleven, and I didn't want to say anything becasue 1: It was my first day and 2: I wrote down high school education and some college on my application. Not really a lie, but I'll bet they interpreted that as 'graduated high school'. Anyway, I had two tests, one at 9:15, and the second at 11:00. They started an hour late, so 10:15 was the first test. I already told them I wouldn't be able to make the second, so that was cleared, but this one I zoomed through. Now, because I was taking this at ECC, and not in Geneva where I had until recently been taking the GED, they won't let me out of the room until everyone was finished, whereas they let me do that in Geneva. I completed it in about 25 minutes, (it was the Science, and very little of it was more than what I had learned in eight grade) and waited to see if everybody else would finish by a quarter till 11. Nobody finished it by then, so I got up and walked towards the door.
"If you leave, your test will be voided."
"I have to go. If you guys have started on time, then I would fine."
So that was bogus. Just because they were late to their job, I shouldn't have to be late to MY job, let alone the first day of it. So now it's iffy if I'll finish the GED this year, because the next testing is on waitlist.

I marathoned Code Geass for like, the third or fourth time. That show rocks. I had downloaded it because I was planning to do some sort of show and tell for Anime Club, but that never happened. I eventually used it for a simple 20 second long video, but that's it. I watched it over again because it was tugging at me ever since the Anime Club started talking about group cosplays for Acen. Code Geass would be sweet, I already won the arm wrestle for Lloyd.
There are these two cool non-anime shows that I found called Freeman's Mind and Civil Protection. You can find them easily at www.accursedfarms.com. They revolve around the Half-Life series, and they're really funny, very well done. It's hard to find professional quality game parodies these days, but this dude really nails it hard.
Here's the latest episode of Freeman's Mind. You don't really need to watch the previous 21 episodes, since it mostly consists of whats floating in and out of his thoughts, which is usually sporadic, if not random.

Thoughts on CoD MW2? (or as I say, CoD42)
It sucks.

A lot more stuff happened since Youmacon, but I can't really think of it all...I started and stopped playing Aion. I downloaded and played on a private server, and I got to about level 36 or something before I lost interest. It's a good game, it's just that the private server is in alpha stage, so MANY elements are missing. It was pretty much a huge grindfest when I played. I'll leave Aion on my pc and check back in about five or six months, see if the dude got things running smoothly.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving for Americans, which will be kinda interesting. It's at my house, and one of my uncle's is not invited since he's been causing a lot of problems since Grandma died. Politics in my family have a tendency to be rather petty and loud, so I just ignore it. And it's amazing how much my mom talks when she has absolutely nothing to say. Although I suppose that can be applied to the general public as well. In any case, it's see meal, eat meal, then go play games or something for me. I don't wanna deal with it. And I'm pretty sure half of my family thinks I'm a half-wit, so all the more reason to stick to myself. Don't comment on that.
Meh. We'll see how things go.
