The Coming Of Another Year

Hello everyone,

Ive been neglecting to post this week, so i figured today would be a good day to put up a post and let you all know what ive been up to lol.

I just finished uploading my first Youtube video lol. i know some of you dont even know what i look like in real life, so it may be a shock for some of you lol. Yesterday i was going through some unlabeled vhs tapes i had recorded on and i was labeling them and updating my MyAnimeList.net anime list. While i was rewinding and fast forwarding through the tapes, i came across a recording of the anime film/OVA called Macross 2: Lovers Again, which i thought i didnt have. To jog your memory about the movie - a few years ago i had set my vcr to record the movie from tv, but i must have gotten the tapes mixed up because this whole time i had believed that my vcr never auto-recorded it. Apparently it DID record it and it had been hidden along with the other unlabeled vhs tapes on my shelves. So while i was labeling the other tapes and watching Macross 2: Lovers Again, i figured id see if my webcam would record video correctly. This video is the outcome lol. It's just a few seconds long, but you get to see me in all my anime glory - still labeling anime vhs tapes the same why i always have lol. I was sitting on the floor, leaned back against my futon lol. You can see some of the tapes stacked up by my feet.

The thumbs up is for all of you guys here on Theotaku that keep me going lol

There isnt any sound in this video because i havent found my mic yet, but rest assured my next video will have sound :)

Othere than making that video, i havent been up to much.

On an ironic note, Recently i had been getting the strangest urge to watch the anime movie Castle in the Sky , and Sunday afternoon while i was looking it up online to find out little facts about the movie, i noticed that sunday was the 23rd anniversary of the film. Yes it was created August 2nd 1986, and it was so ironic and strange that i would get the urge to watch the movie on August 2nd 2009 lol. I was chatting with Xaos about the movie when i came across the info and he agreed that it was pretty cool and wierd as well lol.

Later that day i watched my vhs copy of Castle in the Sky and remembered just how awesome the movie is, was and always will be :)

Tuesday morning i bought Dragonball Evolution before i came home from work. i was weary about buying it, but my curiosity of how Yamcha was portrayed in the movie finally made me give in and buy it lol.

Here is my unbiased opinion :)

Overall it was an alright movie, there were funny parts, cheesy parts, and the fighting scenes were done ok. some of the characters were pretty cool - Master roshi was enjoyable to watch and so was Bulma lol. Goku, ill admit was hard for me to look at without laughing a bit, like it was inside joke or something, but i forgot about everything else once Yamcha popped up lol. I actually feel that yamcha was portrayed well in the movie. He had an attitude, street smarts, and he was pretty funny to listen to as well lol. As a whole - i didnt find anything that i hated about the movie, but i do feel that it seemed a little short and rushed. It was an ok watch and it gave me something to do while i was here at home being lazy after work :)

During the week ive also been playing Legends of Wrestlemania on Xbox360. I just have 4 more Achievements to unloack and ill have unloacked all of them, which is pretty cool. Last night at work, me and one of the guys i work with finally finished playing through Gears of War 2 , with CO-OP Campaign Mode. That has been really fun to, it has also been alot easier playing co-op because two human controlled characters can really do alot of damage thats for sure lol. Since we have beaten all of the other Xbox360 games i own, We will probably just play Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 until i buy the UFC Undisputed 2009 game again.

Other than that, ive basically just been taking it easy and being lazy lol. Since tommorrow is my birthday ill probably be extra lazy tommorrow lol. I always do something nostalgic on my birthday, so ill most likely find an anime movie in my collection that i havent watched in years and sit down and watch it while remembering the days when i first started my anime collection. One of the first anime series i recorded just came to mind, so i may just watch that tommorrow morning when i get home from work :) Ill be sure to post pics of the tapes i recorded that series on and tell you guys some nostalgic stories of the beginning of my anime collection too lol.

Earlier this week i also made some wallpapers, so feel free to check them out and let me know what you think lol.

Well, i suppose that will be all for today's post, i thank you all for visiting and i look forward to posting tommorrow on my 26th Anniversary LOL :) I hope to chat with you all soon :)

Stay Strong,

Yamcha
