Kochi Indies magazine in Japan was running a cover illustration contest and I thought I'd participate, as they decided to accept foreign entries this time. This is how it turned out. I find it kind of mediocre, haha. OTL Definitely not satisfied with my painting style, at the least. I've gotta do more experimentation and practice on that, but what with the deadline for this contest, I have to leave this one as is.
Speaking of painting style, I wanted to get some more opinions from you guys. ^.^; Earlier, I posted a portrait that was in a semi-realistic style and now this one is the same character in a different style. Now, I'm just talking about color artwork here, for things like cover art and illustrations and such. But for a single manga series, do you think I should pick a one coloring style and stick with it, at least the vast majority of the time? Or would you like to see various styles often? Does it matter?
