This was originally drawn for Adam's Princess Kaguya Challenge but didn’t have the motivation to work on it due to things happening and the deadline came up to fast and I got the idea last minute. I will see if I do finish the drawing though since I won’t feel so pressured.

anyway I decided to draw Seita and Setsuko from Grave of the Fireflies. For the contest you had to draw a little character being held in someone hands, The reason I had picked these two was because at the beginning of the film Seita kept this candy container close to him for obvious reasons, and for him holding that container was like holding his sister.

I really wanted to capture Seita and Setsuko’s special bond.

and also the Film is really heart breaking, I have to admit I had a hard time watching it since it was really sad.
