For xNotUnderstood's "Miss Independent" challenge! It really was hard to come up with strong girls (that I like/look up to) in anime. Shirayuki was the first one who came to mind. Then Shurei from "The Story of Saiunkoku" and Eve from "Black Cat".

I went with Shirayuki from "Akagami no Shirayukihime" for this wallpaper. The manga has a fairytale-type feel, so I ran with that as the theme. Shirayuki is a very strong character who doesn't need a prince in shining armor to come riding to her rescue (though the prince in this story does so, anyway, 'cause he's nice like that XD). She's smart, brave, hard-working and kind. A perfect "Miss Independent", yes? And also admirable.
