Song: Blind as a Bat by Meat Loaf
This ended up being one of my more challenging and experimental wallpapers. As I've made more and more wallpapers over the years, I've tried to move away from the old method of applying textures and filters to a single scan, slapping on some text, and then calling it good. Nowadays I try and combine two or more scans and images together. But there are just some scans that you can't do that with. At least not very well. The scan used for this wallpaper is one such example.
This afternoon though, as I was writing the latest chapter of a current fanfic I was listening to Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell 3 album. And when I heard Blind as a Bat again, I thought back the original Code Geass wallpaper it inspired. I also thought about the little trick I used for a Madoka wallpaper I made the night before that involved copying part of a scan onto another layer and then using different effects on both layers. I decided to try and use the same trick with the original Code Geass scan. It was difficult, but I managed to put C.C. on another layer and applied some glow effects, while reducing the saturation of the original scan. Enjoy.
