Kimi
My head hurt. My arm hurt. My ankle hurt like hell. I was freezing. Half my face felt like it had been shoved in a freezer for hours and the other like it was shoved in cold mud for hours. I couldn’t move at all. Even if I did, it would hurt. Like hell. All I could think about was how much this suck and how much I wanted to go home.
And Cezoram, Cezoram too.
Yeah, okay, he was always making me mad, but he had his good points. If I thought about them for a while.
A long, long while.
Which I had plenty of time for. I couldn’t move without putting myself in even more pain, so weakly laying there on my side on the riverbank was the extent of my power.
Damnit, I hate this. I can’t move and I can’t get myself up. I don’t even know how long I’ve been here. If I stay out any longer… GAH! No, stop. Someone will find you. Right, someone. Cezoram maybe. UGH! No, not him! Anyone but him! I don’t need his help! I’ll get out of this on my own!
Mustering my strength, I tried to shift my right arm so it wasn’t under me and found that to be a terrible idea in the short span of two seconds, so I just stopped moving again.
I took a deep breath and used the one thing I knew had a slight chance of working: “Someone! Anyone! Help!” (That actually came out more like a whisper than I intended.)
As if in response, the trees and leaves above me rustled in reply, causing my heart to kick into overdrive. Oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God! Someone actually heard me! Please don’t let it be a pervert!
“This way? Really? No one is stupid enough to go this far off the path, though.”
“Oh, shut up!” I shouted back at the only person I knew who wouldn’t EVER get away with implying I’m stupid. “For your information, my grades are WAY higher than yours!”
“Kimi? Where are you?”
“DOWN HERE, MORON! God, it’s about time you showed up!”
Cezoram’s mocking face emerged from the trees above me. That was the last thing I needed right now; him to see me like this. “I’d say I was just in in time, Juliet, because it looks like you need my help.”
“I don’t need your help! I’m just fine!”
“Then why didn’t you just get up on your own?” Before he could keep irritating me, a little blue… thing whispered something in his ear. “Stay put, Kimi.”
“Like I could move anyway!”
He disappeared from view temporarily, only to land with a soft tmp beside me. “Lady Patricia tells me you’re the one injured.” Tenderly, he turned me over so I was lying in a very comprisable position on my back.
“What the hell are y-” A sharp, flaming pain erupted on my right ankle, causing the rest of my sentence to be a garbled mess of pain-induced words.
“As I thought, you probably twisted or broke your ankle,” another flame on my right wrist, “wrist” and another, duller flame on my shoulder, “and probably injured your shoulder in some way.”
“I don’t need to hear that from you.” I mumbled.
“You are a real hassle, Juliet.” He sighed. “But I guess I have no other choice.”
With the grace of a fairy-tale prince, Cezoram swept me up into his arms (careful not to touch my injuries) bridal style.
“H-Hey! Put me down!”
“And let you try to somehow crawl back on your own? No way.” Cezoram’s warm lips gently touched my forehead. “You’ve proven you’re luck to me already and I am not about to let you push it further.”
Although I was reluctant to accept his help, I wasn’t about to admit to him how safe and warm I felt in his arms at that time.

“Ugh, who is this commoner and why is she here?”
“It’s nice to meet you too, Draco.” I plastered my best fake smile on as I held my hand out which he royally snubbed. You brat! Okay, I may not be a pureblood like SOMEONE, but that doesn’t mean you have to ignore me!
“Before you go after his throat,” Cezoram whispered in my ear. “Just remember that he is a guest also.”
“I know,” I grumbled back. “But that doesn’t mean that I have to like him.”
“Believe me, he’s hard to like.”
“You don’t say!” Sarcastically, I walked back up to Draco and tried to act polite again. “Well, Draco, to answer your original question-”
“You shall call me Mr. Draco, Mudblood.”
Watch it, kid, or you’re going to end up in a ditch somewhere. “I don’t mean to be impolite, but I am at least a year older than you are, so calling you Mr. Draco would be just a bit strange.”
“You may be older, but you are not wiser.”
Before I could wring his pale little neck that was just screaming for it, Cezoram took my hand and held me back. “Draco, I’ll have one of the butlers show you to your room, if you want.” While the little brat was being escorted away, Cezoram turned to me and gave me a sly wink, silently communicating: “Don’t worry, I have this under control.”
Damn right you should.
