Chapter 3: A Concert Idea and Shopping
After everything that happened during lunch I was a little uneasy through the rest of the day. I was lucky that no one seemed to notice that something was bothering me. Of course I really didn’t see Amber and her minions which was a plus she always found a way to urk me.
“Miss Snyder.” The principal bellowed, great just what I didn’t need today.
“Yes?” I questioned turning around sounding curious.
And here we go. Lysander and I didn’t mean to get lost in the race we just wanted to win so we were trying to take a short cut. We got to see a deer out of it though so that was a lot of fun, but we kind of ruined the fundraiser so…now I get to figure out something to do to raise money for the school.
“Am I clear Miss Snyder?” The principal asked.
“Yes ma’am, perfectly clear.” I said trying not to show that I was a little intimidated by her.
“Good.” The principal nodded and then walked away.
I felt my knees buckle under me but someone caught me. “Rain are you alright?” I looked up to see it was Kentin who caught me and I blushed a bit.
“I’m okay, just the Principal always intimidates me.” I laughed as he helped me stand up again. “Thank you for catching me.” I smiled.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“Yea I told you I’m fine.” I said a bit confused.
“No I mean…” He started and was interrupted by Alexy hugging me.
“There you are I’ve been looking all over for you. You promised to go shopping with me after school this morning remember?” Alexy whined.
I looked at Ken and he looked away a little frustrated. But I smiled at Alexy, “I’m sorry I was heading to my locker and the principal stopped me.” I apologized.
“Well hurry up and get your stuff. I’ll hang out with Kenny here till you get back.” He laughed and the nickname seemed to make Kentin’s eye twitch a bit.
I giggled, “Alright, I’ll be right back you two.” I said and ran to my locker to get my stuff.
Rosa and Violet were at my locker when I got there and I told them what happened with the principal as I got my stuff together we discussed what should be done for a fundraiser and we decided a concert would be amazing for a fundraiser.
“Oh look perfect timing~” Rosa chimed as Lysander was walking down the hall.
“Lysander!” I called to him as I closed my locker and slung my bag over my shoulder.
“Hello Rain how are you? Is there something you need?” He asked looking down at me.
“Actually I was wondering if you would sing in a concert for the school fundraiser.” I asked him.
He smiled down at me, “You know what…I’ll do it.” He said.
“Yes!” I fist pumped excited.
“If, you can get Castiel to join the group as well. If you can get him to join we will also need a drummer and another guitarist.” Lysander mentioned.
“Alright I’ll do it! I’ll get Castiel to join the band and I’ll let you know.” I said with determination in my voice.
This made Lysander chuckle and I blushed a little, “I-I have to get going Alexy is waiting for me. I’ll ask him tomorrow before school.” I stated and then ran off back to where I left Ken and Alexy. Maybe it was a bad idea to leave those two alone. Who knows what Alexy would say to Kentin.
“Stop calling me that already. It’s Kentin, not Ken, not Kenny, Kentin.” I heard Ken say and I quickened my pace to get over to the two.
“Hey come on now you two don’t fight.” I said getting between them.
“Alexy started it.” Kentin stated.
“I don’t care who started it I’m ending it alright.” I looked at both of them.
“I’m taking you from your lover boy and your going shopping with me.” Alexy cooed and took my hand.
This made me blush and my heart skip a beat. I looked over at Kentin and I saw a bit of a blush on him too. “Come on.” Alexy laughed happily and pulled me along with him.
“Talk to you tomorrow Kentin.” I waved and looked back at him.
“Yea…Later Rain.” He smiled sadly at me and waved back.
He looked like he wanted to tell me something I’ll have to ask him tomorrow after I talk to Castiel about the concert.
“Kenny doesn’t seem at all like what you told us all about. Of course it seems that military school will change people. But he does look yummy now~” Alexy cooed as we walked to the clothing store.
“Stop it. Your making me blush.” I said looking away from him with a smile on my face. My heart raced every time I thought of him. But when am with Lysander and Amrin it does the same thing. I’m so confused.
“So you agree with me. But what about Amrin and Lysander? Do they mean the same to you?” Alexy asked.
“I’m just so confused…Kentin is my best friend but when he left we promised that we would write to each other but I didn’t get anything. And then his father telling me that he hated me and never wanted to hear from me again…the way that his father lied to me like that. Kentin doesn’t seem like that at all, but then again he could just be getting back at me like he did with Amber and play with my feelings.” I sighed, “I don’t know I’m just so confused.”
“Well then don’t think about it, just concentrate on our shopping. I’m going to make you look amazing~” Alexy laughed and threw a dress at me then pushed me into the changing room. Alexy seemed to know how to get my mind off of things. It was nice to be able to have out with him and have someone to talk to.
After trying on a few more clothes Alexy walked be back to my apartment. “I’ll see you tomorrow Alexy.” I hugged him.
“Sounds good.” He hugged me back then he walked towards his house as I went into the apartment building and wandered to the apartment.
I went to my room and laid down on my bed. Shopping with Alexy was fun, but it’s always exhausting. “I’m sure that shopping with Rosa would be worse. What would happen if she saw my closet?” I laughed to myself as I said that to myself. No one ever comes over so I wouldn’t have to worry about it. I looked over at my dresser and sighed. I had so many pictures on my wall by m door from over my high school life. I’m in my junior year now…I can’t believe it. So much as happened even today Ken came back after being gone for two years. I wanted to spend the day with him. I wanted to talk to him about how military school was and why he didn’t send me any letters or call. Well okay the calling would be difficult because I never gave him my auntie’s house number before he left. But I know that I wrote down my cell number in one of my letters when I got a cell phone. I sighed and looked up at the ceiling. I guess I’ll just have to talk to him tomorrow.
