So yeah, about yesterday’s post. lol. I was already basically over it by the time I had finished writing. Hahahahahaha....
I was just really tired yesterday morning, so I’m pretty sure anything would’ve sent me into a swing of sadness. If I had dropped a cup or something, I would’ve been mad at gravity for always picking on me.
Wait. No. I could never be mad at gravity. Never. 9.8 m/s^2 forever.
Hahahahahaha...
But you gotta cut me some slack. I AM still a teen for another few months. I am entitled to teen angst for a while longer.

But really, my dreams of starring in my own RPG are quickly fading! Soon I’ll be too OLD. The best I’ll be able to hope for is being the older friend of the main character. You know, the much cooler one that also happens to end up being bad, but for good reasons. Etc., etc.
So handed in my passport application this morning. Should be getting it back by mid-April. So that’s a load off.
Otherwise not much happening.
Though I did watch two more episodes of Ergo Proxy while working out last night. And holy freaking crap. Episode...12 I think it was? Whichever with the old man in the library. THAT WAS F-ING FREAKY AS HELL. DAMN JAPANESE AND THEIR KAMINA DAMN PSYCHOLOGICAL TERRORS.
Oh, and for the record, I MAY have a crush on Lil (that’s how my fansubbers spell her name, apparently it’s also Re-l). She’s hot. And cool.
Hahahahaha...my choice in Anime and video game women is hilarious. I’m pretty sure they could all beat me up if they wanted to. lol.

This is a bit of a life post. Heads up (or down depending on your preference (what does that even mean??)).
Anyways...
Yeah so yesterday I was walking back to my office after a colleague and myself had gone out to get a bit of a snack from Timmy's (Time Horton's), and on our way back to our building (only about a block), I saw two girls come out of a bakery shop. I didn't really pay any mind (why would I? just some more random people on the street), when I suddenly realized that I recognized one of them. And I noticed that she was looking at me as well, also seeming to recognize me. But apparently neither of us could quite realize who the other was until after we passed each other, lol. Just as we passed, I realized she was one of the girls I had gone to a bar with about two weeks ago, she being also from University of Waterloo on co-op here in Ottawa. She was a friend of my friend's girlfriend. And she also happened to be a girl that I was moderately interested in after that night. We had talked a bit, and she seemed like a really cool person (not to mention she is rather pretty, lol). So basically, life threw me this perfect opportunity to talk to her and stuff, and I blew it.
I'm not very good at this game, lol.
And then this morning I had an optometrist appointment for getting contacts. The appointment was for 7:30 AM. So I get there just a bit after 7:30 (yes, I was kinda late, lol), and I go up to the door, and it looks kinda dark. Also, I see no one inside or at the receptionist's desk. And then I look sign for when it's open, and I see that apparently it does not open until 8:00.
So I immediately became very confused, and just assumed that I had simply misunderstood the time of the appointment. And since it was about 7:40, I figured I'd just sit in my brother's car until it was 8:00 and opened, and ask them when my appointment was.
So 20 minutes later, I go in, and tell the receptionist that I was not sure of my appointment time. They tell me that it was half an hour ago. I tell them that I was here, but it looked like the place was closed, and the sign said it did not open until 8. Whatever the case, I have to get a new appointment. So now I need to come back in 2 weeks. Again at 7:30 AM, at which, the receptionist slowly explained to me, they did have people here, so I just had to come in, even if the sign said they were not open.
I'm pretty sure she thought I had some kind of mental problem the way she explained it to me. But eh, who can blame her?
I am REALLY not good at this game.

Oh, and I just remembered that today is my Dad's birthday, and I have not gotten a card for him.

I am just not at all made for this whole social thing in life.
I think I'll go read some physics stuff, then get to work. Then tonight I can work out and watch more Ergo Proxy. Maybe play some Fire Emblem also. Life is just easier when you don't have to worry about interacting with other people.
Very depressed, and annoyed that he decided to plague everyone who reads this with his idiocy in life, and did not just hide it like he usually does,

Yeah, so my Anime Mythbuster article seems to be getting really quite good responses! I'm so happy!
Hahahahaha...
But really, I'm totally stoked that people like it! It's making want to write more even more than I did before (does that sentence even make sense?). I've got a few ideas now for more too:
- Using time dilation and Special Theory of Relativity to explain why when people get cut by swords in Anime, they explode in blood several seconds later (this one would be even more of a joke as it makes very little sense, not to mention much more theoretically complicated. If I do this one, it will not have any math, it'll just be all a thought experiment, and me explaining time dilation)
- People using swords that are way to large for them (everyone wants to hear about Cloud apparently, lol. This one would be interesting, but I'd have to think of how I'd put it in terms of something analyzable, probably using the same sort of things I used in the jumping, maybe levers and stuff....hmmmm....)
- One guy on the Anime Evolution forum (thanks SomeGuy! That's totally amazing that you linked me! I feel so special! Hahahahahha....) mentioned looking at the energy it would actually take to move a GUNDAM or other Anime mechas (this one would actually be not nearly as difficult as it sounds from my initital thoughts...I think this one is in fact very feasible without being too difficult)
- And then thinking several years back, I remember when Inphinity (who used to be Backlash Wave) and I more or less thought out how N-Jammers (from GUNDAM Seed) work (if I do this one, I'll definitely need to catch up with you Inphinity, you're much better on the Chemistry side, lol!)
Whatever the case, I am definitely going to do some more of these. It's so much fun!
Yeah, so tried out Skype on Friday. It seemed to work rather well (at least relative to how I thought it would work with dial-up, lol) when talking to shultzie. However when I tried with a group on Sunday, it definitely seemed to have problems. The only person I could really hear was Kat (though I must say, I heard her quite well, lol. Apparently Skype likes you most Kat, hahahahahaha....). So I guess I'll still use it, but...eh. Whatever, I'm going to be back at University and good Internet in just over a month.
Agh, I have so many little things that need to be taken care of right now. Don't you hate it when that happens? You're just going about your daily/weekly grind, when all of a sudden a crapload of things fall on you, and then it seems like everything is happening at once? Such stressful times indeed...lol...

So yesterday morning on my way to work, I thought up an idea for a cool article (at least I think it's cool, lol). So when I got to work, I sat down and wrote it (not like I'm THAT busy at work, Hahahahhaa...). And here it is.
At first I was going to call it "The Science of Anime: Jumping", but just before I submitted it, I realized that the way I had set it up could be seen as a Mythbusters-esque style, so I decided to call it Anime Mythbuster: Jumping. Basically I did a physical analysis (with the math and stuff, lol) of anime characters' jumping abilities.
All I can say is that it was really fun to write! By Kamina I'm a physics nerd...hahahahaha...it was so fun to use physics for something like this, even though it was something pretty simple so that it only involved basic kinematics.
So check it out and tell me what you think. I'd REALLY appreciate feedback 'cause I'm thinking of writing some more of these (I have one other idea right now, but if anyone likes what I did, and has any other ideas, please tell me, it'd be sooooo much fun to write more o' these).
Anyways, now that I'm done with my shameless self-advertising...
I GOTS THE SKYPE LAST NIGHT. APPARENTLY IT'S CONTAGIOUS. I BLAME ALL OF YOU.
