I just got a message from my friend Ranefea (Thanks, if you hadn't told me, I wouldv'e been oblivious =^_^;=) that I've been promoted to Otaku Legend! Yay!
Funny thing is... I don't know what changed to make me a legend. The only thing I'd been doing differently is uploading fanart more frequently. Maybe somebody liked what I did... Or maybe I've just been here that long. It has been over 3 years since I started out as a wee little otakuite (Course... it was just called otaku member back then... I sound old...)
Well, this pumps me up! Whatever the reason, I'm going to try to put more Oomph into all my work! I've improved, but I can still improve. I've got a few ideas for more fanart, plus I have a request to fill out... as well as the remaining 6 in the Element series.
I'm happy! Thanks to whatever or whoever got me to being a legend today! Personal thanks to Tifa.2.The.Max, Ranefea, mrjonessoda, Resalan, Kokoii-Matoku, I Am Manga, and anyone else who has influenced me while I've been here. =^^= You guys are all great! Hello all. First of all, I would like to express the fact that I'm very disappointed that no one entered my contest, or even contacted me to say that 2 weeks was not enough time or anything. I guess I'm not that popular yet...
At any rate, I've been doing my community service since Monday, so I've been very busy and haven't been able to work on any manga. I'm going to try to finish my remaining six hours tomorrow so that I'll have plenty of time on Saturday to rest up and maybe do some manga. I think I'll work on a Kitty Days page next, since it has been a while.
I have a "date" coming up on Sunday. An old friend of mine sent me a myspace message and said he would like to hang out. So, if nothing gets in the way, we're gonna hang out at the beach (the same place that I've been doing my community service). I'm nervous, but also a bit pleased to be doing something other than sitting at home by myself for summer. Not that don't like solitude, it's just... I thought it's time I tried something new. Though it will be awkward being alone with a guy whom I haven't seen in a while, and he's a bit attractive, and also wearing a swimsuit which makes me a vulnerable one. I wonder if I should invite other people along... to take away to tension? I think I'll try. =^_^;=
I wonder if people even read my rants here... Well, whether or not they do, I'll just keep ranting anyway. Please be patient, for those of you who read my manga, as I have been working hard and am very sore.

I just got a bunch of stuff from my friend becuase she doesn't really need it anymore. There is this one interactive DVD called Hourglass of Summer that she gave me that I'm really hooked on. It's basically about a high school boy named Makimura Kotaro who one day slips out of time and winds up in the future at the opening ceremony of his school, but things are different. The principal usually give a short story at the ceremony, but it's unusually long that day. In his confusion, Kotaro manages to hear that the girl he had been fawning over before the summer break died in an accident. So it's up to him (you) to find out what happened and how to stop the awful incident from occurring.
I think it's one of those games that was made for guys who like to see their ideal girl because there are very few guys in it and a lot of very pretty girls. Still, I've been hooked just hearing the way that Kotaro respond to each situation you put him through. There were some pretty tough choices I had to make and at first, I came up with the bad ending, but after going through it again and correcting the mistakes I made, I got a better ending. This DVD/Game is very interesting, but also very long, so if you plan to play it, be prepared to set aside the whole day for it (Or leave your PS2 running all night). That is beacuse there is no way to save your progress or even go back to the scene you were previously at. Still, if you're willing to take the risk, I'd give this interactive DVD a 9 out of 10.
I can't say I know where my friend got it, or how much it costs, but I'm sure you could order it online if you wanted to. I could do more research if anyone was interested. Here's a picture of the cover:
