Welcome to the World of Korey/Kaydirt.

I update randomly and in many cases not too often. But stick around. It might be more fun as we go along.

If you want to know who I am, then take some time to read my posts, you might learn a thing or two. Otherwise, either PM me or seek me in the Community Chat. I'm somewhere on here, lurking about.

Level Up!

I'm a Senior Otaku now. Only took me a year and a half.

The Humans are Dead

I have a random thought to share with you all. I want to work for ESPN as my ultimate career ambition. But I think they try too hard to make something out of nothing. They over-analyze things. Example: Brett Favre completes only a few passes and gains four yards total in a pre-season game. The very next Sportscenter I see, Mark Schlereth is on there talking about how this performance impacts the Vikings season. I just had to shut the TV off, to keep myself from throwing the remote through the screen.

Not every little minute statstic has long-term effects for the season. One pre-season game does not affect the entire season of the Vikings. At all. So please,ESPN, stop it. You're the Worldwide Leader in Sports. You don't have to try so hard to get ratings.

Interstate Love Song

Howdy everyone,

Just posting on this lazy Sunday afternoon. I've done some various things around the house (cleaned up the room, took the weed eater to the back yard, made lunch) and now just surfing the web. I kind of wish I could have more of those days sometimes, because life gets hectic so fast and before you know it, you kind of take those days for granted. So, if you're having a slow day and are thinking "Man, this day is slow." Stop and think about it.

You might not get a whole lot of those later on in life.

I've always been one of those types of guys that likes to take things as they come, and not worry too much about the future. Why worry about things that might or might not happen? I like dealing with certainty, not possibility. I could find a 20 dollar bill on the ground, I might get run over by a truck that went steamrolling through my house. But why worry about that? Take life for what it is right now, at this moment. You might not get another moment exactly like this one and if you get so narrow-sighted about the the future, you lose sight of things that are right in front of you.

Anyways, I'd like to announce that Otaku Jeopardy is back for a new season on Otakuboards.com. Make sure to sign up and test your wit against each other.

Also, make sure to check out the Arcade section on the Forums for the latest in Gaming news and reviews. I'm going to be taking a bit of a more active approach to my section and posting all sorts of articles that I find.

Take care everyone!

WAZZAM!

I'm actually a huge fan of Chowder. The show is actually quite funny, and the missus and I always tell each other "I'm not your boy/girlfriend!" when we're picking on each other. My favorite character in the show is actually Schnitzel, because of the episode where they're cooking a froggy apple crumble thumpkin. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADAAAAA *swings from a trapeze*

We got the new Wii Sports Resort game and I'm addicted to the Archery game. Never has archery been more fun. The Bowling game became slightly more difficult due to the fact that the Wii Motion Plus makes it possible for you to spin the ball, but I quickly adjusted to it and began beating my dad, much to his chagrin. I also enjoy the 3 point shooting game and the Swordplay games. Those are really fun and inventive. So I'd definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for a new Wii game.

Also, shoutouts to Iruka Sensei for making me my new avatar. Thank you, cutie pie. <3

Bye Bye Beautiful

No, I'm not actually saying good bye to anyone. It's a song by Nightwish and I've been listening to it on my iPod while surfing ze internetz. Pretty good song for 11 AM in the morning, lol.

So I've restarted the Job Hunt, because this job at Abercrombie isn't working out. I get maybe 10 hours a week and they are call-in shifts. I really can't stand that I'm trying to make money to go to school and can't because my job decides when I come in to work or if I come in to work at all. So I've been trying my damndest to find another job before the school year starts, which is in 19 days.....I don't think I'll be able to afford books this semester...sad to say.

Now I have a revelation to share with you all. Ever had something that you wanted to do but you ended up coming short? What did you suppose at the time was the issue? You're not physically able to perform the feat? You are not capable of getting all A's on your report card because you're somehow lacking the mental capacity?

No. The answer lies in one thing. Faith.

If one person fails in any endeavor, it was because their faith was insufficient to the task. You have to have faith in your abilities, faith in your support system, faith in your preparation and faith in your execution. Basically, you have to believe in yourself without a shadow of a doubt. So what if you're 4'3 and can't dunk a basketball. The only thing that is keeping you from doing that is yourself. The person who actually hits the weight room and strengthens themselves to be able to jump higher and does what's necessary has faith in their ability to dunk, no matter what their size is.

So, no matter how hard life may be, always remember to have faith in yourself. If you believe that you are the best and carry out the necessary steps and put in the time and work to be that way, then you will be the best in whatever it is that you set your mind to.
