Chapter 2:
Everyone's Worst Nightmare....Zeke
The next morning Marina woke up and started to sneak out of the Estate before everyone else woke up. When she reached the last hallway, the only obstacle she had to go through is getting to the grand staircase. She sneaked past Veronica's room, but unfortunately someone set a wire so Marina would fall. That someone was Marina's obnoxious friend Zeke Tokari.
Marina-"AHHHHHH! humph....ow that hurt!"
Zeke-"Ha I wish I had taken a picture of you're face! You looked like and idiot!"
Just then everyone woke up and walked into the hallway. Everyone except Maru.
Veronica-"Lady Marina, you should know better than to sneak out."
Zyrok-"Ha! What a clutz!"
Zeke-"Think of it this way Marina, I saved your life!"
Marina-"Ha, save my life you mean ruined it! all you did is kept me from leaving and having fun!"
She got up and dusted herself off, because of falling...due to Zeke.
Zeke-"So Marina, you can give me that hug I deserve now!"
Marina-"Ha, I'm not giving up a hug! and I never will!"
Zeke then hurried up and tripped her to catch her and get somewhat of a hug. Once again she tripped, he got infront of her to catch her and instead of a hug they both fell. Even though he did get his hug, the down side to things was that they accidently kissed. Something that Marina considered a disater!
Marina-"YUCK!!*PFHTT*PFHT*PLEH!! YOU'RE SICK ZEKE, SICK!!"
Zeke-"I knew you loved me! Thanx for the kiss bell-bell!"
Just then Marina ran off to go somewhere that Zeke wouldn't follow her to. Back at the Estate, Zeke started talking about why Marina is the way she is. Not to mention how he thinks she likes him......not true! He also talked about how she got her nickname, bell-bell.
Zeke-"Jeez, sometimes I wish Marina wasn't like this!"
Veronica-"What are you implying, Zeke?"
Zeke-"I was just sayin' that if it wasn't for Lady Komina..."
Maru-"SHUT-UP!! DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT OUR MOM!"
Zeke-"Well it was her fault! If it wasn't for her, Marina wouldn't act this way!"
Maru-"She was just protecting her!"
Zeke-"Whatever....Go cry about it, I could really careless!"
Just then Maru started crying, and ran off. Even though he had no clue where his sister was, he still went looking for her. While Maru was searching, Marina went to the hospital to visit someone. Zeke was afraid of this someone, due to a "love for Marina" rivalry, this certain someone's name was Takado Raiku. He was one of marina's many friends.
Nurse-"Lady Marina it's good to see you! Let me guess you've come here to see..."
Marina-"Yeah! I'm always to come see him(especially after what Zeke did), how is he? Is he awake?"
Nurse-"He's awake, and today he gets released!"
Marina-"...oh goodie...won't Zeke be thrilled to see him again?!"
???-"Wait a minute....Marina? I haven't seen you in like forever!"
Marina-"Saya! It's good to see you...."
Saya-"Enough about me, does Zeke know..."
Marina-"No...at least I don't think so."
Saya-"Then do you know if he's gonna go after Zeke?"
Marina-"I believe he is, and that's one of the reasons why I'm here."
While Marina and Saya were talking, Maru came running in crying. He went straight towards Marina. He tried to stop crying, but he was just too upset about what Zeke said. For comfort he huddled real close to Marina. The Nurse came back into the room with Takado.
Nurse-"Here he is Marina. Now Takado, don't get into anymore trouble."
Takado-"Well I can't right now."
Nurse-"Why?...wait you stay at the Estate don't you?"
Takado-"Yeah, that's correct! I can't have bell-bell being alone with Zeke now can I?(That creep better keep his hands off her)"
Marina-"Thank you Nurse. I think he'll be ok now."
Maru-"Yay! Takado you're all healed, now you can teach Zeke a lesson!"
Takado-"Why do you say that? You know your sister won't let me, but anyway, what did he do? Did he hurt Marina?!"
Maru-"No...at least I don't think so, but he was talking about our mom Lady Komina."
Maru told them what Zeke said. Even though Marina doesn't like it when someone talk about her mom, she didn't give a response other than holding Maru closer. When Takado and Saya heard what Zeke had done, they became furious. All that Takado was embrace Marina in his arms, while Saya figured out a way to get back at Zeke.
At the Estate, Zeke and Veronica got into an argument. It was about Lady Komina. Zeke kept saying that she showed weakness. While Veronica, being the human that she is, said that Komina showed bravery and love. Unfortunately Sephiro and Roru didn't have a say in who was right or wong. Like they would know anyway.
Zeke-"She was weak! WEAK, WEAK, WEAK!!"
Veronica-"No she wasn't, she was kindhearted and loving!"
Zeke-"Rule number one of being a demon, Don't show weakness!"
Veronica-"Ha, whenever you're around Marina you show weakness."
Zeke-"Shut-up! That's not the same!! a demon showing love...I mean Emotion is different from a mere human showing emotion in desperation!"
While they were arguing, Marina snuck past them with her little brother Maru and went to her room. Saya, instead, came up to Zeke and punched him. Takado Just stood there and laughed.The whole time that this was happening Marina, to cheer up Maru, listened to some music with him and started to sing and dance.
choice of music playing was "I'm in Heaven When You Kiss Me"
Zyrok-"What in the world?!"
Saya-"I think it's Marina..."
Takado-"I'm guessing none of you noticed her and Maru Sneak pass."
Zeke-"I noticed!! Jeez, what demon wouldn't notice?!"
Veronica-"Oh shush! not all of us are demons ya know!"
Zeke-"Sux to humans!!"
Saya-"STOP FIGHTING!! I want to hear Marina and Maru!"
Zeke & Veronica-"Oh...right, good point."
They listened through the door. Zyrok was the first that was listening in on them singing.
Marina & Maru-"I'm in heaven when you kiss me, show me how you miss me, take me with you back to wonderland..."
Everyone kept on listening. Veronica and Zeke stopped fighting. Zyrok started to laugh. Unfortunately Marina heard him, and used a mirage attack to quickly come up behind him and attack.
Marina-"What is wrong with you people?! Don't you know it's not polite to ease drop on others?!"
Zyrok-"Ow that hurt! We weren't ease dropping, we just heard you and Maru singing."
Zeke-"Hehe, I believe it went: I'm in heaven when you kiss me, show me how you miss me, take me with you back...."
Marina-"YOU'RE NOT HELPING!!"
After they argued for a bit, Roru suggested that everyone go to the arena. There they can release any rage or stress by sparring with one another. They all agreed to go. Once they got there everyone, except Maru, sparred. Suddenly a dark cloud came over head. Marina knew that something bad was coming along with it.....
Lightning Crashes
???-"Well, well, well if it isn't my friend Marina. How have you been it's been years since we last saw each other.....let alone spoke to one another."
Marina-"H....how is this possible?! You were locked away behind the gates of Soraizo! How did you get out Zmo? Tell me!"
Zmo-"Calm down bell-bell I know you've missed me. It's real simple you see, but unfortunately you're just a mere little half-demon so it might be hard for you to understand!"
Marina-"SHUT UP!!! How dare you..."
Zmo-"Temper, temper! Jeez Marina, you should be nicer to friends. mwah~"
Marina-"Friends?! I never said you were a friend you vile filth! You're annoying, vicious, cruel...."
Zmo-"I get the point sweetie!"
Zeke-"HOW DARE YOU CALL HER SWEETIE!! SHE'S MINE!!"
Takado-"No she's not."
Zeke-"Don't start Takado, or I'll permenantly put you in the hospital!"
Marina-"Save it you two!! Because if you haven't noticed Zmo is still here!"
Zeke and Takado were embarrassed for what was said. They stopped arguing. Just when they changed their attention back to Zmo, something happened. An energy ball came from no where. It was aimed at Zmo. Out of the dust a giant white tiger demon stood. It was Lord Takuya Marina's father. It was the first in years that he came home from Komina's death. He transformed from his beast form to his normal self.
Takuya-"Get Lost Zmo! You have no right to be here..."
Zmo-"Well if it isn't Lord Takuya. Aren't you happy to see me? since you are the one who trapped me in the dark gates. Or should I ask you're children how they feel about you returning home?"
Takuya-"LEAVE NOW!! I won't allow you to...."
Zmo-"Now why would you ever think that? You know that I would never hurt bell-bell....I need her in perfect condition! It wouldn't be wise to kill her."
Takuya-"I have no clue what you're planning, but no matter I won't let it go through!"
Zmo then left, leaving everyone unsure of what may happen. Takuya was even more concerned of what Zmo was planning for Marina. No matter of what it may be he was not going to let it go through. He wasn't going to leave either, since now Zmo is back. Since he was home, he was going to try and catch up on things. Sephiro, Roru and Maru were looking forward to having their father back. Unfortunately Marina didn't feel the same...
