Chapter 5
The Spellcaster's Secret Revealed
Once everyone got back to the Estate Marina immediately had Veronica prepare rooms for Tama, Rai and Riku. As that occurred, the others went into the living room. Zyrok was surrounded by his friends from home, and Marina was surrounded by Takado, Zeke and her little brother Maru. Sephiro and Roru took a good look at the area in the living room...they decided to sit over in their own space, the neutral party. Saya waited for Veronica to come into the room to choose where to sit. When Veronica walked in, she just went to her own corner with Saya and made another neutral party. Everyone also braced themselves for the war that might begin. For once Zyrok and Marina felt the same.....trapped.
Riku-"So Takado...shouldn't you be sitting by Saya, rather than sitting by my precious Marina?!"
Takado-"I already told you, I'M NOT DATING SAYA!!!"
Zeke-"Besides Riku, Marina isn't yours!"
Tama-"Riku, just cool it....whew is it just me or is there a wanna be human in here?!"
Maru-"Excuse me...but weren't the ice imps exiled to Blizzard Peak?!"
Rai-"How dare you say that you queer little brat!!"
Maru-"I'M NOT QUEER!!!.....you know I'm starting to realize exactly why Zyrok wanted to leave the human world...not only was it boring, but it's because of allo of you!!"
Tama-"That's not true!!! Tell the little queer, Zyrok, tell him that he's wrong!!"
Zyrok-"Well...."
Just then Bella arrived at the Estate. She walked into the living room and sensed the atomosphere, it was very conflicted. She knew something was wrong and now she was apart of it. Then again Bella could careless about being caught in the middle of a fight, she just cared what it was about.
Bella-"Hey everyone whats......goin...on?.."
Saya-"(Bella you retard....you shouldn't have done that..)"
Tama-"! WHO IN THIS DEMENTED WORLD ARE YOU?!"
Takado-"This world isn't demented....the only problem with it now is you."
Rai-"TAKE THAT BACK YOU HORRID CREATURE!!"
Takado-"...i'm not a creature, I'm a demon. I'm not taking back what I said, you're the horrid human that's ruining everything here...so if you don't mind....I would appreciate it if you left. You and you're two friends you came with, leave."
Tama-"Fine we'll leave, but we're taking Zyrok with us! He hates this place too!!!"
Zyrok-"Umm...."
Tama-"See he hates it, and the vicious demons too!!"
Bella-"Just cool it, we can all get along if we just calm down."
The two arguing groups-"NO WE CAN'T!! THEY'RE HORRID AND FOUL CREATURES!!!...NO WE'RE NOT YOU ARE!!!! SHUT-UP!!"
(Ding-dong, Ding-Dong)
Veronica-"Someone's at the door....I'll go get it."
Door opens(creak~)
Jacob-"Good Evening, I am Jacob! I walk house to house selling the finest fruit, I also have a stand in town. I just came here to the city of Rukiru two days ago. Would you care to buy some fruit?"
Veronica-"I'd love to buy some fruit, please come in and wait here. I have to go check with my mistress on which fruit she would like."
Jacob-"Why thank you kind lady!...(What does she mean by mistress...is she a servant?)"
Veronica came back into the living room, but since she left things changed. Tama and Rai were now yelling at Zyrok.
Tama-"How dare you hang out with these demons and not us, your own friends!!"
Rai-"Yea! And how can you call that half-breed your friend? You are human, like us. She's a half-mix of demon and human! Her blood is tainted! SHE'S DIFFERENT!!"
Zyrok-"Yeah, and so am I! I am a human and a spellcaster! That's different from being a human!!"
Tama & Rai-"....spellcaster..."
Veronica-"Excuse me. I don't want to interupt but, Lady Marina, there's a human named Jacob at the door..."
Marina-"...so..."
Veronica-"Well's he's selling fruit and, well I was wondering...."
Marina-"You can buy fruit from him. Could you see if he has any raspberries, some shadow fruit and some gem fruit. You know my favorite, here I'll come with you..."
Veronica-"Thank you Lady Marina, and of course I'll see if he has your favorite. He would probably be delighted to meet you..."
Tama-"Umm you're not going anywhere, Lady Pain-in-the-butt!! You're Staying!!"
Marina-"(0_0 what is it with humans?....Zyrok called me the same thing when he came...)"
Jacob-"I could help but to over hear you're argument....what's going on?"
Tama-"Stay out of this fruit-boy!!"
Jacob-"...jeez someone's being nice..."
Tama-"SAVE IT!!! I don't want to hear any sarcasm!"
Veronica-"Lady Marina, I'll buy some fruit. Jacob, I'm soo sorry for the rude guest yelling at you."
Jacob-"That's ok....!Wait did you say Lady Marina?! As in the ruler of the Northern and Eastern territory of Kira?!"
Veronica-"Of course who else?"
Jacob-"WOW!! This is an honor to be in your presence!"
Marina-Umm...Thank you, sir....(or is it you're welcome...dunno.)"
Jacob-"No need to call me 'Sir', the name's Jacob...! Is that Zyrok the human spellcaster?!"
Tama-"Umm...excuse me but we're arguing here....."
Marina-"Yes, why do you ask?(0_0 anything to stop the arguing!)"
Jacob-"Everyone in town is talking about him, and you....are you two...."
Zyrok & Marina-"0_0 NO! NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! WE'RE JUST FRIENDS!!"
Jacob-"What a relief!"
Everyone-"...?..."
Jacob-"Well there's a spell hunter searching for Zyrok."
Zyrok-"WHAT?!! Why me??"
Jacob-"I don't know, except that supposely you weild the 'Blue Ember' pendant that belongs to Mark....Well I gotta go, here's your fruit Lady Marina. Don't worry you can pay me in town tommorrow, bye~"
Jacob left the fruit that Marina and Veronica wanted, and left. Zyrok started to wondered why Mark wanted his pendant. Maru still wanted Tama and Rai to go away, but we all know that won't happen. Tama can't believe that Zyrok never told her that he was a spellcaster. For once Zeke and Takado were working together, but only to make a plan that will get rid of Riku. Veronica, Saya, Roru and Sephiro were wondering when will Takuya find out about the three new house guests and will everyone ever get along. All Marina wanted to know is if she'll be able to live the room and go to bed.
After Tama yelled for a couple more hours, everyone decided that it was time for bed. They all went to their rooms, changed into their pajamas and went to bed, well everyone except for Zyrok. He was just too curious about Mark and how could the Ember pendant be his. Zyrok has had the 'Blue Ember' pendant ever since he was little, his parents gave it to him. So he decided to go to Marina and ask her about Mark, after everyone went to sleep.
Zyrok-"...marina wake up, I need to ask you something..."
Marina-"...go away Zeke....me hate you....to sleepy...good nite~"
Zyrok-"I'm not Zeke! It's me, Zyrok."
Marina-"....ugh...no mom...me no wear pink kimono....I hate family pictures..."
Zyrok-"...this is hopeless....! wow she has her own bath room...(jeez it's huge! it's like her own spa!)"
(Zyrok got a glass of freezing cold water)
Zyrok-"...this should wake her up.."
Marina-"Don't you dare!"
Zyrok-"(0_0 how'd she know...)oops..."
Marina-"...I can read minds...besides I'm tired, not stupid."
Zyrok-"(-_- could've fooled me.)"
Slap~(Marina slapped him)
Marina-"What do you want? you came in here for a reason! so what is it?"
zyrok-"Well can you tell me about Mark.....hey why didn't you read my mind??"
Marina-"I can choose if I want to read someone's mind, I didn't want to read it just then."
Zyrok-"Why not?.....!sick......"
Marina-"Hey you try dealing with guys who always bother you, anyway Mark is an ex-friend, he's a loser that needs to get a life, and etc."
Zyrok-"...seriously who is he?"
Marina-"...jeez fine i'll tell you, he's a spell hunter. A demon or being that hunts down spellcasters or others for their magic. He kills people like you so he can make your magic his, or he gives it to his helpers like Namu....(Namu~ oh soo dreamy...in a demon way)"
Zyrok-"Wait, Namu??"
Marina-"Yes Namu, he's powerful too."
Zyrok-"Why does Mark want me?"
Marina-"He doesn't want you(I wish tho instead of me)...he wants your power."
Zyrok-"So the pendant is mine..."
Marina-"Yes, dum-dum! Mark just wants it for it's power!"
Zyrok-"Thanks for explaining, sorry for waking you."
Marina-"No prob, you're just lucky I didn't attack you for coming in here..."
Zyrok-"-_- I get the point, nite~"
Marina-"Hey wait, why didn't you ever tell Tama or Rai about being a spellcaster??"
Zyrok-"...because they're obessessed with me, and if they knew then they would try to get me to use my power to make stuff for them."
Marina-"...wow, least you're not stuck in my situation."
Zyrok-"What do you mean?"
Marina-"Tama and Rai get along together, Zeke and Takado try to kill each other..."
Zyrok-"It can't be that bad(what am I saying?! They're trying to kill each other), you have it good here."
Marina-"...thanks for the emphasis..."
Zyrok-"...heheh...sorry."
Marina-"...please explain, i don't see what's soo good..."
Zyrok-"...well, you can be yourself, you live here, you have true friends, three caring brothers, and you're a powerful person. You rule the realm of Kira.(not to mention you're also a powerful fighter!)"
Marina-"I guess...but you're a human, I mean normal, you're a spellcaster, you can hang out with people without anyone worrying about you're safety..."
Zyrok-"I get the point, but everything isn't perfect. I don't hang out with friends because what they wanna do is boring to me and I get into some sort of trouble."
Marina-"(0_0 WHAT IN THE WORLD?! Him in trouble.....not possible...)you gotta be kidding me, how can you get into trouble?!"
Zyrok-"...forget it, forget that I ever mentioned it!"
Marina leans in closer
Marina-"Tell me, tell me!!"
Zyrok-"SHHHH!! You don't wanna wake everyone up do ya?!"
Marina-"...then tell me!"
Creak~(bedroom door opens)
Maru-"...*yawn*...mar-mar, I can't sleep...can I sleep in here with you?"
Marina-"Sure....but why can't you sleep?"
Maru-"...I'm afraid of Zeke...."
Marina-"...oh...that inccident...well here why don't you soak in the spa pool in my bathroom, that should loosen your nerves."
Maru-"...*yawn*...ok big sister!"
Marina-"...anyway Zyrok tell me when have you ever got into trouble?"
Zyrok-"...(says the girl with the spa pool in her bathroom) ok I'll tell you."
Marina-"...says the boy that forgot the girl can read minds..."
Zyrok-"..heh,shut up. First was at school, Tama wouldn't shut-up so I got mad and all the light bulbs blew up.....my parents were mad about that, I couldn't watch DeathNote for two weeks..."
Marina-"(-_- you gotta be kiddin me that's not trouble...)please continue.."
Zyrok-"Then there was the time when Tuni took my boxer shorts and stuck them on the flag pole, I got sooo upset that all the windows shattered at school."
Marina-"(do I dare tell him to continue?...) go on I wanna hear more."
Zyrok-"...then the time that there was a really cute girl in class came over to me to talk and to show her around at school! she was a new student. her and some other girls hung around with me, the only time I wasn't with tama or Rai."
Marina-"....so?"
Zyrok-"Well I tripped and, well the cute girl was standing over me and....I *cough*sneezed and her skirt and the other girls skirts went flying upward*cough*....they told Mika-sensei....it was terrible I had to clean the bathrooms."
Marina-"...wow....that's quite perverted but not enough to say that was trouble...more like a major accident!!"
Zyrok-"...why am I not surprised with your response....good nite."
Marina-"...good nite, pervy spell-boy~"
Zyrok-"....great just what I wanted to hear.......not!"
Zyrok left Marina's room, and Maru was done relaxing in the spa. Maru put his pajamas, that his sister gave him, on and went to sleep in Marina's bed. Marina was already asleep. Zyrok got back to his room and got ready to go back to bed. He felt a little better about talking to Marina, and knowing more about Mark. The only problem now was if Tama was still mad at him.
