~Sam~
When I walked out of the dorm I noticed a little girl waiting outside. She was soaking wet, and the other students avoided her as they walked past because they didn't want to get rained on. She looked up at me as I tried to walk past. "Sammy?" I smirked. "No. I'm Sam. Who are you kiddo?" She looked confused. "Trinity. I'm Sammy's partner."
That was when it clicked. Oh, this is why Sammy was so upset in her note. They gave me a kid to mentor. "Ok. So that makes you my partner." Now she really looked confused. "Sammy and I are the same person...well...at least we share the same body. I don't remember things that she does during the day though. That's why I didn't know you. During the day Sammy is in control, and at night it's me. You understand Trinity?" She nodded. "Cool. So guess that was our introduction. We should head to class now."
As we walked I noticed a few of the other students laughing at Trinity. Others avoided her cause of her cloud. It p*ssed me off for some reason. She either didn't notice, or my real guess she ignored them. I slowed down and walked right next to her so that I was under her cloud as well. She gave me a shocked look. "S...Sempai..." I laughed. "A little rain is refreshing don't you think? Also just Sam is good." She nodded.
When we got to the classroom I was soaked. Tsubasa Sensei was already leaning against his desk. "It's about time you showed up." I shrugged. "I'm not late...so you can't complain." I took my seat in the back of the room.
None of the other students would look at me. I guess I deserved that.
There was Ryuu the 16 year old dragonborn. He controls fire and can grow wings and a tail and claws when he changes. His partner is Yami. She is a 15 year old grim reaper. They apparently are also a couple according to school rumors. Ryuu has bright green eyes and flaming red hair. He is also very loud and rambunctious. Yami is quite opposite. She is pale and has brown hair and steely blue grey eyes. She is very cold and can be cruel. At least in my experiences with her. Hard to believe Ryuu would be her boyfriend.
Next was Ai. He is a 14 year old scrawny little werewolf pup. His eyes are golden and his hair is messy and dyed midnigyt blue. Apparently his ex boyfriend is the one who turned him into a werewolf. So he is quit behind the rest of us who were born demons. He is bratty and rash. He also has a smart mouth and isn't afraid to use it. Kinda like me. His partner is Alexandor. An 18 year old fallen angel who has black hair and blue eyes. I have noticed them change color though from time to time. He does a pretty good job of watching out for Ai. The kid gets into trouble like some kind of magnet.
Sensei went to the chalkboard and began to write. "I see you all made it back alive this year. I'm pleased. I also see some new faces. This also pleases me. Now then, to recap our objective for this class from last year. Our goal for this class is to take those of you who show great promise and give you the opportunity to become whole demons by the time you graduate. This is accomplished by obtaining a set list of items. Each list is unique to you. We also work in pairs. No lone wolves."
Tsubasa Sensei gave me a cold look when he said that. I huffed. "Your partners have been assigned to you for a reason. You cannot trade. Some of you are lucky to have your partner from last year. Others have become mentors for the first time. I will be watching you...very closely."
He turned his back to us and began writing on the chalkboard. "Tonight we have an easy mission to get you all back into the grove of things. There seems to be a hoard of tanuki attacking a construction site. The site is being changed to make a park. Apparently the tanuki are angry because it was where their home was. But they have killed some of the human workers. That makes this a bad situation. If word gets out they will draw unwanted attention. Like I said this will be an easy mission. Any questions?"
I sighed. This wasn't what I was looking forward to. I was hoping for a challenge.
