I paced back and forth angrily. How could I have let myself fall into such a trap? I was the Tigress! I was not supposed to be this easily fooled...
"Do not be too hard on yourself, Tigress," said Pashnirix as I continued my efforts to removed the armlets. "You were not trapped by just anyone. You were caught by the best. You should be honored."
"Honored?" I glared at him, pausing in my efforts. "I should be honored that I am now bound to you like...like some kind of slave?" I seethed.
Pashnirix sighed. "Not a slave," he said almost tiredly. "I would never do such a thing. To restrain a will as strong as yours would be the gravest sin."
"Then WHAT?! What the hell are you trying to accomplish here, Pashnirix?" I screamed. When he didn't answer me immediately, I went back to clawing at my arms. I could feel my element slipping up on me, my senses sharpening, ready for a fight. I was a tiger; tigers don't do well when caged.
"Rexikat, would you please calm down, for just a minute, and listen to me," said Pashnirix in a low voice. "I'm not going to hurt you. Just relax."
I didn't want to relax. I wanted out. "Take these things off me," I growled. "Take them off now."
Pashnirix shook his head. "I cannot do that," he said, "or rather, I will not."
I couldn't take it anymore, his smug, chilled attitude. I leaped off the bed, surprised when he didn't move as I tackled him to the ground. He fell to the floor with a grunt, pinned underneath me.
"Why?" I said, slashing him across the face. "Why do you insist on owning me? I'm not one of your possessions; I'm not some thing to be claimed! I refuse to be owned!
"Ever since the first time we fought, you've been going on about how we have so much to learn from each other, how much you have to learn from me! I don't understand!" In frustration, I grabbed his shoulders, slamming him on the ground again.
"You're right," he said, "you don't understand. You still don't understand. And you won't, not until you understand that there are other ways to feel--"
"Don't you dare," I growled, holding a clawed hand to his throat. "If you say that to me one more time, I swear I'll kill you."
We both fell silent, and the room was quiet but for my harsh breathing. "Rexikat," he finally said, "the armlets do not restrict your will in anyway. They simply prevent you from leaving this world until..."
"Until what?" I asked.
"I say so," he admitted. "I can take them off myself, but I'm not willing to take that risk. Not until you listen to me, and learn."
"So you're content with keeping me here as your pet until--"
"Not a pet," he growled back at me, eyes flashing, "never a pet. An equal."
I drew back, surprised at his sudden anger. He took the opportunity to knock me off him, and drew himself up off the floor. He picked me up by the arm, and held me against the wall.
"Listen," he said viciously in a low voice with narrowed eyes, "I know you are upset. I know you don't like being caged. Trust me, I know. I've trapped you here when that's the last thing you wanted. But you are not in any way my slave, nor are you a pet. You are mine, my equal, my rival, my mate, the only one who deserves my respect in this universe."
My eyes widened. "Mate..."
I flopped onto the bed, holding my hands over my closed eyes. I moaned in aggravation. Mate? That was what this whole mess had started over? How could I possibly be his mate? The Nobody side of me protested violently, screaming out against the term that implied emotions, but the animal side, the tigress, understood everything completely. I didn't know which side to believe.
I sat in the plane between sleep and awake. I was at a point wehre I could sleep if I wanted, but I refused. Suddenly II felt my arm being lifted a bit and a starnge surge of ice went through me but didn't freeze. It was just a rush of energy.
Instead of forcing me straight off the bed, the energy allowed me to get up slowly. I remained still in the peace. I could feel the Leader's presnece walking through the room towards Lexian, towards me, and back to the window where it would stay for a while before the cycle began again.
I didn't want to move....I didn't want to get up.....I just wanted to be at peace at the moment.
All I can tell you
Is who I'm not
When all I want to tell you
Is who I am

------
As she tried to summon her mirrors, Minx found it utterly impossible. I used too much power on the defense….and now I can’t even make a mirror….what am I going to do……
Minx stayed quiet waiting for who was to return....she had a pretty good idea that it was Aidex and Xyta. They probably wanted revenge. Minx closed her eyes and witha last ditch strength summoned a mirror infront of her.
"What is that little one?" the owl asked.
"I.....have to see what has happened to my home....." Minx answered. "They took me away....and my home might be gone...."
As Minx looked into the mirror only reflections of her own fears reflected back. Minx sighed and released the hold on the mirror. It shattered and was absorbed into the ground like water.
"Who are you child?" the owl asked.
"A nobody," Minx answered.
"I asked whooo not what," the owl corrected.
"Minx," Minx answered.
Suddenly Minx sensed someone approaching. She backed away and was ready to climb the tree when two fawns appeared. Each had a distinct trait of Aidex and Xyta.
"Ai-chan....Xy-chan...." Minx said quietly.
"Yes it's us you liitle wretch," Xyta answered glaring at Minx.
"Stop Xyta," Aidex cut in. "We don't have to fight."
"Why did you take me from Xerebus-sama! WHY!" Minx shouted backing up the tree.
"Children?" the owl asked. "Is something wrong?"
Aidex looked up to the owl calmly.
"We're just a bit at ends with Minx," she answered. "She robbed us of a few things....our bodies for one...."
The owl looked confused but did not assist the rabbit as she climbed up the tree to evade the glares of one of the fawns.
"You robbed me!" Minx yelled. "You robbed me of Xerebus-sama!"
"You robbed us of our lives Minx," Xyta said sharply. "We were going to go away. We weren't going to harm Zero, and yet as Xerebus gave that dam order your chidishness made us dolls!"
"Enough Xyta," Aidex said now glaring at Xyta. Seeing her friend glaring, Xyta slowly relaxed. "Minx, Xerebus had you do that to us. I hold no grude against you, but we will not br returning to Zero. And neither will you."
"Xerebus-sama! Xerebus-sama!" Minx shouted shocking a few birds and causing them to fly skywards. Suddenly the sound of a gun shot went off.
"Xerebus won't come," Xyta answered. "This world is too far for him to sense, and because of your little stunt with the defense at the castle, you can't even defend yourself."
"Xerebus-sama will come!" Minx shouted back. "He's always helped me! Unlike anyone else! He will come for me!"
Suddenly a memory of Nim entered Minx's mind.
"I'll wait here brother....find Triskix and then come back for me....." Nim's voice said softly.
"I don't want to leave you Nim....." Kristian answered.
"It's ok....do what you have to do," Nim smiled. "I'll wait for an eternity for you to come....."
As the memory died away Minx was left in shocked tears.
"He's not coming.....just like Kristian......Xerebus will never come for me......" Minx said quietly. "I'm......so alone........"
"Yes we're all alone in the world," Xyta said harshly. "Nobodies cannot depend on each other. We may only be friends, but we may never trust. It is a curse....."
"Xyta," Aidex said quietly.
"I....I.....why......" Minx said from atop the lowest branch of the tree.
"Minx, to put your trust in Xerebus is foolish. He'll just abandon you in the end," Xyta said sharply. "It's time to stop acting childish."
"Abandon......" Minx said quietly.
Suddenly a rustling in the brush caused Aidex and Xyta to look up. The Prince of the Forest was comming.He looked to the two fawns and then to the rabbit and owl in the tree.
"Owl what is this?" the Prince asked.
"Prince these fawns...." the owl started. "And this rabbit.....are nobodies.....and by the sounds of it they're alone in the world...."
The Prince looked straight at Aidex ahd Xyta who bowed respectfully.
"Nobodies in the Thicket?" The Prince asked.
"We were seeking refuge," Aidex saaid quietly. "Please allow us to stay...."
"I see," The Prince said quietly. "I will grant that you may stay here for as long as you do not endanger the forest or until you wish to leave. What are your powers?"
"I am Aidex of the Light lineage," Aidex said carefully.
"And I am Xyta of of Ice," Xyta continued.
"Yes you may stay here," The Prince reassured. "What about the rabbit?"
Minx looked down but didn't say anything.
"Her name is Minx and she weilds Mirrors, but at this time she is too weak to summon them....." Xyta said. "She's pretty harmless now....."
"She is in your company?" The Prince asked.
"More or less," Xyta started.
Aidex gave Xyta a quick look.
"She is," Aidex reassured.
"You are all free to roam the forest, but beware....man is hunting at the moment...." The Prince said cautiously.
"We understand," Aidex nodded.
The Prince left leaving the two tired fawns, the terrified rabbit, and the owl.
"Alone," Minx said quietly into the brush of the Thicket.
In the End

"I knew it! What happened just then...our worlds are connected!" I reflected loudly pacing the room. "I knew those castles looked alike in more ways than one! They're linked! Damn that Xerebus!" Then I remembered the pair of eyes glancing at me with fear. Anamx sat against the window, perfectly silent and unsure of what to do. I stopped and approached him...he slid to the side slowly, wanting to keep his distance.
The moment the ceiling had started to crumble, I'd prepared my escape. Triskix had asked me to protect Anamx...but I had already moved to do just that. Not on his order...but because I needed to have a word with the boy. I'd grabbed him hastily and brought us here...to Saix's quarters. Where I was SURE to have no intrusions. For none passed through the Proof of Existence...all of the nobodies in this castle feared that room.
"RaXi...are you going to yell at me too?" Anamx stumbled, his eyes still glowering with anxiety. "It's because...I broke the deal right?! I didn't mean to...just when I unlocked everyone else's memories...yours just sort of...slipped out with them too. I'm REALLY SORRY!"
I put my hand on his shoulder gently. He was among very few that I ever treated with such kindness. His purity though, was too overwhelming to ever treat him harshly.
"There is no need for you to fear me Anamx. I asked you to take those memories from me...and I shouldn't have...except for one." I started, looking him straight in the eye. Placing my hand where my heart should be, I closed my eyes. "This...must NOT be remembered. I need you to reseal it...you must put this out of existence once more. I cannot fail him."
Anamx looked at me, his expression slowly taking on the look of a determined child. He was a teenager now...but I still remembered the him from a couple years back...he didn't seem to have changed much...except maybe he'd become more timid than before.
"I'll do it RaXi! But...I don't know how long you'll be out for..." He exclaimed.
"I won't be out at all. Not this time. Before I was weaker." I smiled. "I've recently gotten...much stronger."
He looked at me with doubt, but as I kneeled before him, he put his two fore-fingers to my forehead. He searched through my mind gently...I allowed him through all of my barriers. Finally he found it, and in a moment there was a flash of brilliant light. I fell back slowly, but caught myself. Slowly I stood up. The room was blurry as I stumbled to the window and leaned on it's cold pane. Anamx supported me slightly, looking up with a worried expression. I pushed him away, my eyes fixing themselves upon that MOON...It blurred...then slowly came into view. I hated the view of it from this room...
"RaXi..."
"I'm fine Anamx...I told you I wouldn't be knocked out this time. Just dizzy...Wait...why am I dizzy?" I mumbled.
Anamx smiled very slightly. "It's nothing RaXi." He sat back down against the window. "It's really beautiful...isn't it?"
"No." I denied flatly sitting next to him. "It used to be beautiful. The most beautiful moon in all the worlds. That is...until we learned of its truth..."
Anamx looked suddenly very sullen. "What's going to happen to me now RaXi? Serix WILL come for me...but I don't like him...I'd rather it be Marlex..."
"Marlex..." I mumbled. I wondered if he got out alright...I had been so....NO! He HAD TO HEAR IT! I could kill him...WOULD kill him... it was better this way. "I won't let you go back to him Anamx. Xerebus just wants to use you."
"I don't want to go back to HIM! That's why I want Marlex to come! For Tane..." Anamx suddenly fell silent. He slapped his hands over his mouth and wore a face that screamed he was hiding something.
Before I could investigate further I felt Triskix and Lexian return to the castle. As well as a few others, slowly forming and rushing around in various directions. I looked crossly at Anamx...I wanted to question him more...but I knew I had better check on Tris and Lex after their blow up. I had a feeling I would be needed to set this all straight. After all...I shared the same side as Lexian when it came to Axel...but Triskix...he'd had NO PART in that mess. I had to get that through to him somehow.
"Anamx stand up." I ordered harshly. "We're going to see Lexian and Triskix. I'm sorry, I would leave you here...but I can't trust that you'll be safe...not unless you are at my side. Do not leave it, understand?"
"You don't trust the people in this castle RaXi?"
"I trust no one." I stated coldly. "Those I DO trust...they needn't be burdened with a task I can handle myself. Just heed me and you'll be fine. Come."
I opened a portal to Triskix's room and we both stepped through. Triskix lay on the bed...Lexian in the nearby chair...both were totally drained...I couldn't tell if they were even AWAKE. The Leader was standing beside the window, gazing out and giving off a strange aura. He turned to face me quickly.
"RaXi." The Leader spoke, acknowledging my presence.
I ignored him and told Anamx to stay where he stood. Walking over to Lexian, I gently brushed back his bangs and placed my hand on his cheek. He was completely exhausted. I transferred some of my energy to him...at least with this, he wouldn't be out very long. I turned and went to Triskix. Picking his hand off the bed, I held it firmly in the grasp of both my own.
"What are you doing RaXi?" The Leader asked...slightly impatient and irritated. I glared at him...signaling him to be silent. I then turned back to Triskix. "You should mind your own business...foolish woman."
"This is MY business...Be silent cur." I growled with irritation. Closing my eyes once more I focused and transferred some energy to Triskix. When I finished I put his hand back down gently and turned my attention to the Leader at last. "You can at least have the courtesy to keep your voice down." I lectured, my own voice low.
"The attack as you guessed was..." He began.
"A failure. I know. Our worlds are linked...that mission was naught but folly." I nearly laughed. "So what action shall we take now, 'O great and noble leader'?" I stated with sarcasm. I could feel his irritation with me growing...but I didn't care...I felt nothing but loathing for him at this moment. Rage that begged to be loosed upon him...but this wasn't the time or place.
He was silent. I walked back to Anamx and opened a portal to my room. "Very well then. I await your orders in the privacy of my quarters. Do send someone to get me will you? After you yourself have figured out our next move that is." I smirked and rushed Anamx through. I looked back at the two men who seemed so peaceful right now...and then I stepped through and into my room.
"What now RaXi?" Anamx questioned standing perfectly still. "That was your Leader...should you talk to him that way?"
"You've done well Anamx. Make yourself comfortable...I've a feeling we'll be here awhile. HE doesn't even know what to do now." I commented sitting in my chair.
Anamx walked over to the bed cautiously, no sooner had he layed down that he was out cold. All the stress he'd endured, I didn't blame him. Therefore, it was now my duty to guard him. Just in case Serix or Marlex DID come to claim him.

Kira: RaXi...what did you want Anamx to seal?? That was weird.
RaXi: If I told you...it would take out all the excitement...but you know...I don't even remember now... =-='
Kira: DUH! Anamx TOOK IT! No...HID IT! Ugh, whatever...nvm. Heh, Triskix and Lexian are probably going to have chills now! rofl.
RaXi: Shutup...I just touched them for a minute...T.T'
--It's long because...I'll be gone all day Saturday! lol. I know you guys post a lot on the weekend XDD So, hope you all enjoyed it! See you all later!
Before I knew it, the attack was on. I was totally pumped and raring to go...yet it was Rexikat DRAGGING me there. heh....
She gave me the "privilege" of setting the central bomb, so that's what I did. I was completely cloaked, and quite frankly, it was weird. Usually, I'd have my presence out in the open...in order to invite battles...yet now I felt hidden like a coward. I wondered just how long it would be until I ran into Domix...after all...it seemed I always DID in this place.
Amazingly, I set my bomb without a hitch...got it detonated and everything. As I met back up with the other three members of my team, Triskix and Lexian showed up. They were yelling about how OUR CASTLE was being destroyed alongside this one. I told them what I knew, and as they took off to contain the other bombs, I shouted for my team to get out. My top priority was to get them to safety now.
"Come on! Let's get out of here now while we can!" I shouted and waited for them to run ahead of me. Amaterasux and Xait moved immediately. Yet Rexikat lingered for some reason. I turned to see her just as a sword made contact with her head. Electric sparked wildly around me with rage as I preceded to attack her assailant. The man glared at me, with sharp, piercing determination. And then he smiled.
My eyebrow furrowed with fury as I prepared to blast him with the strongest lightning bolt I could muster...just to condemn him for his arrogance. Yet as I was about to let it loose, I sensed something coming at me...hard and fast. My eyes glanced to the side...just in time to see a huge hammer about to hit me like a ton of bricks. I just barely had enough time to use the energy I gathered as a small shield, before I was sent through the nearby wall, and the wall of the room over.
I lay there in the rubble a moment...just trying to grasp what had just happened. Pushing the scattered debris off me, I used a large stone to lift myself up. I stumbled on my feet, from the pain emanating through my body. I felt my forehead...I was bleeding, which was dripping into my eyes and blurring my vision.
"WHAT THE HELL?!!!!" I shouted to the nothingness around me.
"I'm so sorry brother...I didn't mean to use THAT much force on you. Although, I thought someone like YOU would be able to handle it...how disappointing." The voice of Domix echoed as he slowly bent and walked through the hole I'd just made in the side of the wall.
"Domix...I should've known." I snarled. Why the hell did he have to go and do that?! I mean...right when I was ready to attack...HOW DARE HE!!!
"No time for an explanation...we have to get out of here!" Domix suddenly exclaimed grabbing my shoulders. "Ximh! There's a bomb!"
I felt like falling over in laughter...but before I could even reply with my sarcastic remark, I was shoved through a portal. It led to just outside the bridge, on the edge of the world. Kyxsha was there...WITH HIM! YAMIL!!! I felt my blood come to a boil...but then, I saw the look in their eyes. Suddenly my rage was gone...replaced by a...void.
"Brother! That's..." Domix started, but I muffled him and pulled him behind the nearby plant-life. A huge tree.
I put my finger over my lips, signaling him to be silent...and we watched the whole scene play out in complete and utter silence. I watched him as he pulled Kyxsha up. As he pulled her close to him, and held her in silence. As he no doubt whispered words of love in her ears. And yet I couldn't find the strength to stop it. A feeling deep in my being told me...leave her. Let her go...with him. I don't know why...I just knew...if she had a chance to be happy...to be whole again...then THAT is the path she had to walk. And in that moment I made MY decision. I turned away and stared blindly at the Citadel.
Kyxsha portaled away, most certainly back to the castle...I was just numb. Suddenly a hand was on my shoulder. I turned to look at my brother...he had a sympathetic look on his face.
"Magni...it's best this way." He consoled me. "I know you saw it too. The look in their eye's was..."
"I KNOW!" I shouted suddenly. "You don't have to tell me! I heard the stories enough...not even cupid..." My voice fell silent.
Domix mumbled something under his breath...I couldn't hear what he said...he then spoke up. Plastering a fake smile on his face. "You don't have time for that anyway. It's unbecoming of a Son of Thor...falling in love with one of lower status." My eyes narrowed at his insinuation. Yet he continued. "Besides, speaking of Thor, we've been summoned. I just got the notification today...Thrud awaits us in Olympus."
Ximh
He threw Serix away from himself and ran as fast as he could. They had been fighting for only ten minutes, yet the drain on his energy was nearly almost thirty percent. He had tried not to draw the fight out, but the man was staying too much on the defensive for him to do anything of real damage.
Pashnirix could hear the light patter of Serix’s feet behind him as they rushed through the hallways towards the North Tower. Clashing down the stairs, Pashnirix tumbled to the bottom, rolling into a crouch as he rose. He scanned the area quickly with his eyes, ears, and nose—and found that the scent of the tigress was already growing cold.
“Damn,” he muttered, dodging another blow from Serix. Quickly rising from his roll, he sprinted back into the North Tower, intending on getting to the West Tower before Serix. He soon realized that Serix wasn’t even following him.
He paused in his running, leaning against the wall. Suddenly, it occurred to him: Serix had simply portalled to the West Tower. “Damn,” he exclaimed again, hastily portalling off to the West Tower.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a couple more seconds… I nimbly arranged the second set of bombs at the base of the tower, and was seconds away from finishing when I heard a noise behind me.
Whipping around quickly, I saw it was a member of Organization Zero. While I knew he couldn’t see me, I felt a strange and distinct pull on my energy as he slowly walked closer. Not wanting to disclose my position until the last possible second, I stood still, hands fisted and waiting to attack.
Finally, when he wasn’t even a breath away, I lashed out with my claws, slashing the side of his cheek and rolling away as he swung a huge sword. I ran and jumped off his sword, clipping him again in the back of the head. This time, though, he managed to snag me with the backstroke of his swing, hurling me into a wall.
As I dropped to the ground, I felt way more tired than I knew I should be. My instincts told me that the drain he was performing on my energy was weakening me, and fast. I needed to end this.
Dropping my chains to the ground, I brought them forward to surround him, but to my surprise, they were deflected by a mirror he summoned forth. Since he was hidden behind the mirror, by the time I noticed that the man had portalled behind me, I had only turned half-around, and he knocked me to the ground.
Before I could get up, though, I felt someone run past me, and I saw a multitude of scimitars embed themselves in the white-haired man’s chest. “Mine,” growled Pashnirix in front of me.
The man with the white hair and scimitars in his chest staggered back, glaring at Pashnirix. I rose to my feet with a graceful twist, ready to fight Pashnirix, but it seemed he wasn’t finished. Raising his hand in the air and calling his scimitar back to himself, he stalked forward, roaring, “I don’t like other people touching my THINGS!”
I could see that Pashnirix was near approaching his Final form. A scaly tail swished angrily back and forth as he dashed forward, slashing the other Nobody in a series of elaborate moves. I was frozen by the beauty of it all; Pashnirix was a terrible fascinating fighter to watch, especially this angry.
Finally, the other Nobody acknowledged his defeat, slumping to the ground unconscious. As Pashnirix turned to me, the same steely glint in his eyes, I did the only thing my instincts were telling me: I ran.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I met up with Ximh, Xait, and Ama in one of the main hallways. We were all running as hard as we could. The entire building was beginning to crumble around us, chunks of stone falling with heavy decisiveness.
As we ran out of the Citadel, Triskix and Lexian were arriving on the scene.
“Ximh!” Triskix yelled. “We have to stop whatever you’re doing! It’s destroying our castle!”
“What?” Ximh yelled. We heard a loud explosion in the background.
“No time for talk!” Lexian bellowed. “We need to stop the bombs!” I nearly started cussing my brains out. My instincts were never wrong. Ever.
“But I’ve already detonated them!” Ximh yelled back.
“Then we must contain them,” Lexian answered. “If this continues neither world will have a castle left….” He trailed off, and I looked between Lexian and Triskix, confused. Not only had we failed, but our Castle was going down as well?
“Yes, we have to stop them,” muttered Triskix. “Ximh, where is the largest bomb?”
“In the center….it is supposed to go off first, and then detonate the rest….” Ximh answered hesitantly. “But it’s already started the other explosions….”
“We have to contain the other bombs!” Triskix yelled.
“Yeah, come on,” Lexian yelled, and he and Triskix ran towards the Citadel.
“Wait!” Xait yelled, but Lexian and Triskix were already running.
“Come on,” said Ximh to the four of us, “let’s get out of here now while we can.”
“I think not,” said a voice from behind us. I turned around to see the hilt of Pashnirix’s sword aimed straight for my temple, and then I blacked out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I woke up, I was in a comfy bed, and I was warm. It was strangely quiet; the last thing I remembered was…
“The attack on the Citadel!” I bolted upright in the bed, and then held a hand to my head in pain. “Ow,” I hissed.
“You shouldn’t make any sudden movements,” said a pleasant voice with a hint of amusement. I looked up to glare at Pashnirix.
“You,” I growled, “this is your fault. What the hell happened? The last thing I remember was you clocking me upside the head with your sword, which, by the way, was a pretty dirty move. I expected better from you.”
“My fault,” laughed Pashnirix, “of course. Here.” He placed a cool cloth on my forehead. I didn’t protest. My head was killing me.
“Apparently, my Leader found out somehow about our little plot. That man you were fighting before, Serix, is his faithful little pet, and was spying on me unnoticed,” said Pashnirix. “Xerebus sent Serix to prevent me from meeting up with you. He failed, though, and miserably.”
I though back to that fight. “You said…you don’t like people touching your things,” I said slowly. “Exactly what did you mean by that, pray tell?”
Pashnirix shrugged. “I am a dragon, yes? Such is my nature,” he responded mysteriously. Before I could protest further, he brought something out from behind his back. “Here. This is for you, as an apology for your injuries.”
The moment he said “apology,” I grew suspicious, but I opened the package anyway. Inside was a pair of golden armlets, decorated with beautiful gemstones. I frowned, and turned to him, holding the precious items carefully. “What—”
“I guessed you would like them,” he said. “The gems are tiger’s eye stones. I figured they suited you nicely.”
He was right; the stones were he exact color my eyes turned when I was in Final form, and set in the jewelry as they were, they were gorgeous. “Thank you,” I said, fitting them onto my upper arms, “but these look so expensive, not to mention hoard-worthy. What made the dragon give up what must be one of his most prized possessions?” I teased, nudging him with my foot.
He got up from the bed and walked to the door, eyeing me enigmatically. “Who said I gave up anything? If anything, I’d say I just gained a new possession.”
I furrowed my brow, growing more nervous as he continued to watch me. In a panic, I suddenly grabbed at the armlets, becoming fearful as they weren’t coming off. No matter how hard I pulled, they seemed stuck to me.
I sharply turned my eyes to his, noticing his wide grin. “Oh, crap,” I said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
KitKat: Whew! That was a long one!
Rexikat: What the hell! Get these armlets off me, you freak!
Pashnirix: :p Nnnnnope. You walked into this one all on your own.
Rexikat: Look, you insolent dragon, get these things OFF ME!
Pashnirix: Sorry, no can do. You’re mine now. Mine, mine, MINE!
Rexikat: YOU EGOTISTICAL JERK WITH THE MENTALITY OF A FIVE-YEAR-OLD!
KitKat: ^_^’ Oh boy, this should be interesting. I'll explain the nature of the armlets in my next post!
