Kita looked around still see happy faces and choirs of Carole's. Busy people shopping and greeting one another as they past. Everyone was happy. Everyone was smiling. There was even a glow about the people as bright as the Christmas lights that hung above them. "I see happy people. Shopping and singing and smiling."
"I'll tell you what I see. I see an old woman just across the street over there. Just last month no one care about her, but now she is approached by that young couple. It is her daughter and her new husband, they have been looking for her. And over there under the lamp post, that old man is searching for the perfect gift for his wife. She has been dead for five years, but he still loves her, and he believes he will see her again."
"You see magic does exist, but it's not the kind of magic you think. It's hope."
Kita looked at the people the man was talking about looking at each one of them carefully. " how do you know this?"
"It's people doing kind things not because they have too, but because they want too."
Kita grabbed the man’s hand and held on to it tightly looking up at him. Her voice shaky when she spoke to him. “W…was that women in toy shop ... evil?” She casts her eyes down quickly. "She did not help that boy."
"No, she just didn't know how to. She couldn't respond with emotions because she had none, but you do."
Still looking to the snow cover walkway, "No emotions?" She looked hesitantly up at the man again, “Does that mean she doesn't have a heart?”
