I ran candy back to her room. She seemed to be having fun. “Did you have fun?” I asked her as I set her down.
“I did. I’m really happy that you came to watch.” She nodded and looked up at me.
A silence fell between us. It wasn’t an awkward silence though. It was a nice silence. “Oh right, um lunch. I need to get changed.” Candy said and quickly ran into her room and closed the door behind her.
I waited outside the door. It was strange; I never thought I could feel like this with someone. But that dream…for some reason I couldn’t push it off.
It felt so real…like it actually happened. “Ugh.” I clutched my head. Why is my head throbbing? I feel like I’m going to be sick.
“Okay I’m ready. Snow what’s wrong?” Candy put a hand on my chest.
“I just don’t feel that great. I think it’s because I’m hungry. I’m sure once I eat something that I’ll feel better.” I told her. I really didn’t want to worry her.
“If you’re sure.” She took my hand and we went to the dining room where everyone was waiting.
Talon looked at me and had a serious look on his face. I smiled at him and then sat down on his left side. “You can’t get it off your mind can you?” He whispered to me.
“No…it felt so real…like it actually happened to us.” I answered back as I grabbed some food and put it on my plate.
“I don’t know what’s real anymore really.” Talon sighed as he poked at his food.
I quietly agreed with him. What was real and what wasn’t? Was everything a lie? I shook my head. Who was I kidding it was just a dream. My head says that it’s just a dream, but my heart was saying that what I’m living is a lie.
Both Talon and I are spirits of war and protection. Why are we able to feel love? Or even make friends? It just didn’t make since. Maybe I should ask Goddess Amora about it.
“Earth to Snow.” I heard Lee’s voice bring me back. I turned my head to look at him and his finger poked my cheek.
I frowned and batted his hand away. “Stop it.” I growled at him.
“You were zoning out.” He commented.
“Is it about that dream you had?” Light asked.
“Oh come on you guys can’t say that you haven’t had weird dreams before that can make you zone out and think.” I commented and shoved a fork full of meet in my mouth.
“Someone’s embarrassed.” Vic said laughing lightly.
I felt my face heat up. “Come on not you too Vic.”
Everyone started laughing then Talon smacked me on the back and I looked over at him. “Relax Snow. It was just a dream.” He said, but I could tell under his words he was questioning the dream he had last night as well.
