“How can she move toward me without me moving toward her?” Kabuto wondered to himself. “Ha ha ha!” the woman mocked, “Gotcha. You were so caught up trying to catch me you left yourself open…from behind.” Kabuto slowly turned to find a clone smiling a snide smile. The clone reached for an invisible bag on her side, making Kabuto slowly reach into his tool pouch and pull out a kunai knife. The clone hit herself in the leg and arms. Kabuto stabbing his legs and arm, cried out in pain. Then, the clone disappeared, releasing Kabuto to fall to the ground. The woman eased up and laughed.
The young lady stared at Orochimaru, “You…are my father.” she paused then, clinched her fist, “Why did you…abandon me on that hillside?” (Flashback) “You left me and mother on the side of that hill, trying to escape. I cried for you to come back. You just didn’t pay any attention and blew up that hill. Mom died and you ran thinking we were both dead.” Her eyes glared into Orochimaru’s soul. He yelled in pain. “How did you survive that fall?” Orochimaru angrily snapped back.
Mironus approached a dark cave. Inside, he made camp for the night. The clouds hinted rain. “Hmmm…looks like I’ll have to wait ‘til morning…very disappointing.” Mironus looked out at the rain. Yutake is out there somewhere, lost. A clasp of lightning distracted Mironus from his thoughts. He looked down at the pack he had brought. Carefully, he removed a scroll and began drawing rain drops on the painted trees and a cave next to them. Above the trees he wrote: Day 6 - rain. Mironus put the scroll aside, took out another, and opened it. The contents, strange lettering, were scrambled. “Aw, man! This ain’t right!” said Mironus surprised, “I knew I fixed this before I left. I wonder what happened.”
As the night passed on, Mironus grew tired and decided to light a fire. He gathered what wood he could find and used the Fire Ball Jutsu to light it. The cave glowed from the light. Diamonds and other precious gems lined the walls. The gems sparkled in the light. Mironus gazed in astonishment. I may be able to use these to buy information on the whereabouts of Yutake and maybe even some food. Mironus stood up and grabbed a kunai knife. He scratched away at the wall. Wow. This wall is very weak, possibly from the rain. He gathered the gems and placed them in a small sac as they fell.
After gathering 60 some gems, Mironus looked at his pack. “Looks like you found my gems useful.” a strange figure stood behind Mironus. Mironus turned to see Yutake, with kunai in hand. “Yutake, it’s me Mironus!” Yutake moved a little closer, “Hey, how’s it going?” Mironus looked down, “Not to good, Shones is dead.” Yutake looked stunned. He stared out the cave.
Rebecca looked around the town. Everything was quiet and no one seemed to be around. The town was deserted and empty. What’s going on here? Why are there no people? Rebecca watched as a window clattered against a tall building. After awhile of walking around, she found a small trail of slime. The slime seemed to be from a snake, a very large snake.
Rebecca followed the trail to a small clearing. At the end of the clearing there was a lake, which had an island in its center. The trail seemed to lead to the island. Hmmm…I wonder. Could it be him, again? Rebecca shivered at the thought. If it is him, I best be careful. He could prove to be great practice, too. Rebecca grinned. She had always wanted to fight Orochimaru. Maybe, even take his life.
The water was smooth and easily traversed. Rebecca urged the ferryman to go faster. “Calm down, mam. I’m going as fast as she’ll allow.”
