The dragon lowered its head to Shones’ level. Shones handed the box to the dragon. With a swift movement, the dragon ate the box. A roar erupted from its throat. The dragon pounded the floorboard with its tail. Challow lost his balance and was flung to the back of the ship. Shones went after him. Screaming could be heard above them. The door flew open and Ama peeked inside.
“What’s up with that dragon?” Ama yelled. “It’s taking on evolution!” Shones called back from the darkness, “I finally gave it its special box!” The dragon was growing large teeth, horns, and wings and gaining more color. Its brown eyes turned red. It’s black tail turned navy blue with glowing spikes all over it. Where each color ran into another, the colors blended to make another. Its white teeth seemed to glisten in the dark.
Justin, and the others, watched in awe. The large dragon barely fit in the room. Shones and Phoenix waved their arms around, forming ancient symbols all around the room. Suddenly, the room grew larger to fit even the largest wyvern and dragon alike. The dragon was happy to have such a great home. It jumped up and down. For the first time the boat didn’t rock back and forth.
Ray, Ama, BP, and Guy looked around the room. The place looked like a jungle. Birds and other animals ran around in the room. The sight of the new room startled them all. Shones and Phoenix looked around and shook hands. “That was awesome! How did we do it?” Phoenix asked surprised. “Don’t worry about it. When you enter my world you gain special powers!” Shones was so happy that she completed the room; she gave Challow a big kiss and hugged him so tight he was gasping for air.
“Easy on the ribs!” Challow begged. Shones let go and looked up at him. She smiled a devilish smile. “Careful, I might take that the wrong way!” Challow leaned forward. Jacha looked down, “How long are we going to stand here watching you two?” Phoenix laughed at him. Draco came up from under a tree and grabbed Phoenix around the waist. “Whoa!” she jumped. Draco laughed and kissed her.
Sain stood on the dock, staring at the ocean. Frick came up behind her, “What are you doing up here?” Sain turned around and glared a Frick. Jaysein walked up the stairs, “Hey! Where is everyone?” “They said something about a golden box or something like that.” Frick looked at her weirdly. Jacha walked up the stairs in a bit of a daze. Everyone else looked at him. “That was weird and cool at the same time. I think it was more on the cool side, though!” Jacha exclaimed. Frick walked over to Jacha, put his hand on his shoulder, and looked him in the eye, “It would be better if we knew what you were talking about. Fill us in on the situation.” Jacha looked at Frick, stepped back and replied, “Shones and Phoenix created a jungle in The Under and evolved the dragon that makes the boat move.”
A day had passed the Shadow Rider was nearing an island off the coast of Isle Delphino. What seemed to be bright lights, shone and sparkled on the shore. In the distance, a large park and a large harbor were bursting with energy in the sun light. Little sprites and other mystical creatures surrounded the islands. Isle Delphino glowed with the small creatures. Sprites danced around the sail and the bow of the large ship. They bobbed up and down in the wind. Everyone watched the small creatures. Challow and Shones held each other tight. Ama and Black Pyro held hands and stared up at the sky. A wolf howled.
Rebecca stared at the others. They stared back and then laughed. “We’re glad it’s just you, Rebecca.” Shones assured Rebecca. Rebecca let out a sigh of relief. “Guys! That sparkling on the shore, its not lights!” Paulwow exclaimed. “Oh, I forgot to do something about that.” Shones remembered. A green and yellow slime covered the small island. What looked like electric shock, was giving off a glow that made it look like there were lights. Shones took out a small device shaped like a sprite. She pushed in the eyes of the device. They turned into two, red, blinking lights.
“Hip pickle!” came a voice from the mast. Mario jumped off the mast and onto the shore. He squirted the slime with his F.L.U.D. Shones signaled the others to follow his path. No one questioned why and did as they were instructed. They group stopped in front of a large lake. “Why did we stop here?” Finnket asked. Shones looked back at him, “You’ll see.” She stepped into the water, looked down, and mumbled something. A huge whirlpool formed in the middle of the pond. Something was rising from the center.
A large Waylord, about 20-50 ft. long, filled the pond across to the island on the opposite side. “We cross this now.” Shones announced. Carefully, everyone crossed the large mammal. When they arrived on the other side, darkness filled the air. The island, Sticzen, was dark and gloomy, unlike Isle Delphino. Mario cleared the area with his squirt gun.
Shones walked up to a dark cave. She waved her arms around forming symbols. “Arise fallen warriors!” she looked at the door way. A light came from inside. Grunting and murmuring came from within the darkness of the cave. The light disappeared and two shadowy figures walked out from the darkness. Laizen looked around his surroundings. He spotted a green blob on the cave opening, “I come back for that thing?” Mario squirted the blob and it disappeared. Stick Figure looked up at the sky and took a breath of air.
“From now on you guys can call me Jawser.” said Jawser proudly without the slightest movement. Everyone just stared at him and Laizen. Shones giggled at the others, “Ya’ll are so easy to amaze; its unbelievable!” Challow grabbed her around the waist. Shones jumped and let out a squeal. Everyone laughed. Mario looked down, “Mama mea!” He turned around and ran off toward Delphino. Laizen walked up to Jaysein. “Want a guard to protect you?” he asked her as politely as possible. She shook her head up and down. “Yes!” Laizen cheered.
Itasha looked up at the night sky. Stars shot across it. “I wish this was real. I really like it here, though.” he thought aloud. Jacha watched Itasha from a distance. A loud thumping sound broke the silence. Itasha stood up straight to listen. The sound came again, only louder. Shones looked up from where she sat. “What was that?” Challow asked. “Something big and its coming this way!” Shones replied. The thumping continued to grow louder.
A large shadow could be seen coming towards the group. “I always hated coming to Sticzen!” Shones said. A roar came from within the shadow’s throat. Fire erupted from its throat. Everyone scattered to dodge the blast. A large dragon came out of the shadows. It roared and thumped the ground with its tail. The ground shook.
Shones handed everyone a weapon that suited each of them. Itasha held his sword high. A bright light shot out from the tip of the blade. It struck the beast with great force. The dragon backed up. It came back with a powerful blast of fire that severely burnt Itasha and Jacha. Shones, Keshma, and Ray combined forces and created a large energy ball full of flames and bolts of electricity.
They hurled the huge ball at the dragon as fast as they could. The dragon looked up and made a quick move and dodged the ball. Shones and Keshma stared at each other in shock. “How did that happen?” Shones said out of shock. Challow took out a large bow. He aimed it at the dragon. A flame arrow flew toward the dragon. It stuck in the dragon’s heart. The roaring dragon collapsed in a heap on the ground.
“Where did that arrow come from?” Challow asked confused. “It came from that direction!” Ginger pointed to a tree. A dark figure stood on top of the nearby tree. It jumped down and stood in front of Shones. “I did that and my name is Link.” Link waved to the group, “I heard you were around and decided to help out.” Ginger and Rebecca exchanged faces. They couldn’t believe that the group would actually run into Link. “Wow! This is awesome!” Rebecca said excitedly. Ginger stared at Link. “What?” Link caught her stare. “I think she likes you!” Jerachi joked. Ginger slapped at him, missed, and fell on Link. “Sorry!” she quickly stood up.
Link stared up at Ginger. He stood up and looked at her weird. “Now why are you staring at me?” Ginger asked. “No reason besides, that you‘re weird.” She glared at him. Jacha let out a cry of pain. Everyone turned around. Itasha and Jacha lay still on the ground behind them. “Forget about me, help him!” Itasha said when Shones approached him. Shones walked over to Jacha. She put her hand over his head, “Arise fallen warriors!” She had one hand pointed toward Itasha.
