The Multiple Account Situation Today:
For moderation purposes, Adam implemented a code allowing us to display theOtaku.com members who share IP addresses. IP addresses are an address for a single point of internet access; in other words, most members on this site will have their own unique IP address.
Still, situations can occur where members will have identical IPs. If people live together and use the same internet source (such as siblings, roommates, or spouses), they will have the same IP address. It happens sometimes. Ultimately, it comes down to the same point: one internet access point is being used to login to several different accounts. It’s understandable
Less-understandable, though, are when a single IP address is shared between 41 different theOtaku accounts – and this was after several other accounts under the same IP were deleted the day before. By the start of this month, that was how many accounts shared TwoFacedLullaby’s IP address. They were as followed:
Now understandably, several of these accounts were remnants from the previous Kohaku-Dono dummy-account incident. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for all of them:
- Account Slytherin was created July 7 2008.
- Account constellation one was created February 1 2009.
- Account Rose Stone was created February 25 2009.
- Account jasbucks was created February 25 2009.
- Account breathe in was created February 27 2009.
- Account Your Song was created February 28 2009.
- Account XxmonsteraddictxX was created March 1 2009.
These were all created after the new TwoFacedLullaby account. All shared the same IP address.
