Evan Marks, Vampire

“What did you do last night?” I asked to Christian. The tables have turned.

“Well, I went home and went roaming through the streets later.” he said.

Weird dude.

“Well, I went out to the movies with Genevieve.” admitted Kelsey.

Well at least someone was normal. We ate the rest of our sandwiches and were down to our drinks.

“Well, we’ve got some looking around to do,”said Christian, “nice to see you again Evan.”

“Yeah see you.” I said.

Then I noticed something. Christian didn’t have a shadow. I couldn’t see it. I took out my phone and tried to get his reflection. It wasn’t next to Kelsey, holding her hand. He wasn’t there when they embraced and kissed each other. Christian turned to see if I was looking. I started to fake text and watched as they were taken into the crowd.

I got up and walked out of the mall and drove home. Christian was a Vampire. I stayed at my house and sat there, waiting for the sun to go down. I started to search everything about Christian. I looked through the yearbook to find he wasn’t here last year. I texted Kelsey.

“What’s C’s middle name?” I typed.

“Drake.”

Christian Drake Ula. Wait a minute. Holy crap. It wasn’t Drake. His real name wasn’t even Christian. He is Dracula. The worst Vampire in history. My dad told me he fought the fabled Vampire when he was twenty. Dracula was the strongest Vampire there was. I was just changed into a Vampire last night. How could I kill him without dying myself?
Better yet, who was stupid enough to hide their real name in their name?

He was going to feast on Kelsey. Bathe in her blood. I texted her to see if he was with her. He was. It was nine o’ clock. I already knew because I was instantly stronger.

“Dad? I’m going to hunt some demons!” I said.

“Alright. Just be back before two.”

Gosh, my parents are awesome. I ran down into our lair and grabbed everything I could fit into my awesome gothic biker jacket armor. I put my sword on my back and my dual pistols. I took the shotgun and some Soul Reaper grenades that dispel all evil in a big boom. I brought six stakes and a full belt of crucifix throwing knives and went upstairs.

“See you soon.” said Drew.

“Hopefully.” I mumbled.

I hopped into my car and texted, “ where are you?”

She replied “On third and King. Now don’t text back!”

He was going to seduce her and kill her. 3rd and King. I screeched around the corner and roared down the street. I was on second street. I turned the corner on King and was now at the destination. Then it started to rain. I sighed and went to my trunk of my car to retrieve my equipment. I put my teleportation disk into a launcher and shot it onto the roof of the building. I clicked the buckle and was now on the rooftop. But Dracula wasn’t the only evil entity. A devourer demon stood before me. It was about to squeal until I threw a knife into it’s throat. The vocal cords were disabled. I then stabbed it in the stomach with my sword and cut it’s head off, burning the pieces in a spell.

I then saw a ghost. Ghosts are just as hard as Vampires except you can’t hurt ghosts. I took out some salt and poured it around me. The ghost couldn’t cross now. I performed a reanimate spell, which gives a ghost a body. I jumped onto it and stabbed it with my sword. It was almost too easy now that I was a Vampire. I was soaked from the incoming rain when I heard thunder.

I looked off the rooftop. The alley opened up into a larger space that could be used as a parking lot, but has no entry ways. Kelsey was against the wall and Dracula was kissing her, slowly getting to her neck. A fire escape hung above them. I burned off the lock to the ladder. The ladder slid down and clanged right next to them. Kelsey and ‘Christian’ jumped at the sudden movement.

“Enough of this. I can kill you now.” said Dracula.

“What?” asked Kelsey.

Dracula grabbed her and smashed her into a wall. I jumped off the rooftop, firing my shotgun, every round full of Hellfire. Dracula was lit up and I punched him in the face. Christian flew back, about two yards and got up shakily from the puddle of water.

“So you knew?” he asked.

“Yeah.” I replied.

“A hunter? How did you know?” He asked.

“You didn’t have a shadow. Or reflection.” I replied.

“But you don’t either do you?” Dracula concluded.

“Not anymore. Well i have a shadow though, because I have a soul.” I said.

Kelsey was still shocked. “What are you talking about?” she asked.

“He’s a vampire!” I yelled.

Dracula leaped at me and scratched me across my arm. Dracula began muttering a spell and a sword appeared in his hand.

“You’re a spell caster too?” I said.

“I’ve lived long enough.”

He struck at me with a giant force. I slid backwards and jumped back to him, slicing his arm. He swung at me again but I ducked and stabbed him in the foot with a knife. The rain pattered down around us and the lightning struck, lighting up everything around me in a split second.

“Why Kelsey? Why drink her blood?” I asked.

“She is the cleanest presence I’ve ever encountered. The cleaner in spirit the better the life sustaining force that keeps us Vampires alive.” Dracula said.

That’s a new tip. That’s why Vampires fed on the innocent. They were a better source of nourishment. But I would not follow in their steps. I deflected a blow and parried against his strike. I threw a grenade at him. He caught it. I jumped out of the way as Dracula was engulfed in a ball of light. The dust cleared. Dracula still stood.

“I’m immortal, idiot!”

Oh yeah. Forgot about that one. I fired my pistols at him and took out a stake. Dracula was on me, his fingers digging into my skull. “You are almost as pure as Kelsey. Your Vampire blood taints your soul.”

He took the stake out of my hand and was about to strike me in the heart. I sliced the stake in half and burned it with a quick spell. I launched him back with my feet. I got up just as he swung. I blocked it and we exchanged blows between each other. I swung again. Dracula smashed the sword out of my hand and stabbed me through the chest with his sword.

“Evan!” shrieked Kelsey.
