Everyone in the class stopped what they were doing and looked up at me, the insane vampire making a scene… inconspicuous.
I looked around at the worried faces and I sucked in air… shit! The burn started back up again and it was stronger than ever. Trinity looked at me in confusion and then my hands. My hands were digging into my legs hoping the pain would distract me. But I only saw the vision. Vivid and just as clear as the first time. I felt my own blood start to come out of the cuts I was making in my legs and I started doing some serious thinking…
No matter what I was going to stop this future from happening. I kept making decisions in my head hoping to change the future. Then a different one came,
Now I was in an unfamiliar room. It was white and empty, and I was staring in a mirror and the face was not mine. It was a monster’s. The eyes were a deep red and I smiled. And so did the monster. I recognized the scent. It was Trinity’s… and her blood was still wet on his horrible face. But then it hit me…
That hideous monster was me. I looked around for her… she was there… no heartbeat… no breath. I dove at her mangled corpse.
I was trying hard to make the pictures go away… to the back of my head… but it wouldn’t leave. Why was my mind being such an ass?
Thinking about how her delicious blood was running down my throat only made the monster even more anxious. I hadn’t killed her yet… but I was going to. I was looking her right in the eyes and smiling. She smiled back at me not knowing that she was about to die there. Something warm pressed against my lips… hard and passionately. I pressed my own lips back against hers and felt her blood on my lips.
She struggled to break my hold but it was useless. My hold was unbreakable and I wouldn’t even ease up to hear her scream. I felt her body against mine and I heard her bones crack. First some ribs, then her arms, then her spine. Her fear was clear in her eyes, she knew now that I was a monster and that she would die here and she closed her eyes and a tear rolled down her beautiful cheek.
I raised my hand to brush the tear away and I heard one final crack.
I was panting. That was far too vivid… to REAL. I was never going to let that happen to her! Now a tear was really falling down her cheek. But this one I would catch and not break her skull. I lifted my finger to the side of her face and caught the tear and smiled at her.
“I’m alright, just nervous about being a new kid.” I laughed a little hoping it would ease some tension.
She still looked sad and worried. I raised my hand and cupped her face into it. I smiled and sighed. She mimicked my movements. She closed her eyes and rested her cheek into my hand. My head shot around looking at people who were still looking at me. I turned quickly and let my hand fall.
I heard her sigh in grief. She must’ve found my skin comforting, odd.
“Everyone’s looking at us.” I whispered to her.
Now her head shot up and looked around and her blood rushed into her cheeks. Good thing I was still holding my breath or else that could’ve been bad.
