~Sam~
I watched as my young partner advanced towards the enemy. She seemed...like she really didn't want to hurt them. Luckily that changed quickly. Tanuki are animals after all. If they scent your unwillingness they won't hold back. Cornered animals are the most vicious after all.
Trinity seemed to realize this as well. It was interesting to see her use her staff as a lightning rod. I even chuckled when she zapped a few of them. One of them was sneaking up on her. She didn't notice. I started in. This session was over. They jumped her and started clawing at her. Trinity screamed and started to lose control of her powers. Lightning shot everywhere. I saw a bolt zip right past one of our other groups. It almost fried poor little puppy Ai.
I gripped my scythe and swung in a circle. The momentum carried me through and I diced up what was left of the small group she had been fighting. Their blood splattered on my face. Times like this I tend to lose myself...but it's hard to enjoy a fight when your opponents are a bunch of animals.
When I turned around Trinity was looking up at me. She wasn't very happy that I had taken her battle. She was covered in bite marks and scratches. "Come on Chibi...let's go get you cleaned up." She glared at me. "Don't call me Chibi!" I sighed. "Not having this argument right now." I picked her up and swung her onto my back. She flailed and grabbed ahold of my neck. "W...what are you doing?!"
I headed across the field towards Tsubasa. The others were about done too. Sensei was leaning against the bus watching everyone. At this moment his eyes were on my. "Oi, old man...we need some first aid over here." He stared down at me and didn't even crack a smile. "I saw. Good back up Sam." He landed beside me and took Trinity. "Let's go get you cleaned up." I sat down and watched as the others started started back to the bus. Night one.. passed.
