We headed to our separate ways from the other groups. I hacked through the tanuki so easily. They were simple and I felt bad killing them but they needed to be taken care of. Ai kept spitting out when he finished killing them. He looked disgusted so I they didn’t taste good.
I bolt of lightning flashed next to us and I looked over at Ai to see that it had singe him. He growled and I could tell that he had lost his cool.
"Hey! Ai!" I quickly shouted to draw his attention. He looked at me and growled again. He steped forward. I knew he wasn’t himself and I needed to snap him back into himself. "Bad Dog Ai! No treats for you later!" I said.
He jumped on me and knocked me down, I flinched slightly as i landed on my wings hard.
"I AM NOT A DOG YOU BAKA!!!" He yelled at me.
I smiled and laughed glad to have my partner back. "There's my partner. Welcome back kiddo."
He looked at me shocked and back off of me, his ears going back and his tail going between his legs.
"Hey come on kid. None of that. You were fine. I would probably lose my temper too if I had a close call with a lightning bolt."I said to calm him down I reached out and ruffled the fur on top of my head. "Jobs done. Let's go back to your favorite mode of transportation."
He rolled his eyes and I chuckled. "You look funny when you do that as a wolf."
He growled at me. "And you look funny with those giant ass chicken wings sticking out of your back. Don't think I'm letting you off the hook for that doggy treatment."
He padded off ahead of me and I smiled. "Wouldn't have it any other way." I mumbled following after him.
When we got back to bus Ai stuck his head out and I took out my book. There was some heated discussion behind us and I slowly started getting soaked. I sighed and looked over the seat and glared at Sam "Oi...Sam leave her alone.” He glared at me and crossed his arms looking out the window.
We got back to school and Sensi check us in. We all headed back to our dorms. I opened the dorm door and let Ai in.
