Introduction Arc/Land of Waves Arc

Story:

The story of this is incredible. It creates a beautiful, emotional, stand-alone story that has the perfect combination of story with action.

It also gives the main characters their beginning, allowing us to compare and see how far they've come since this arc, and how it affects them throughout the whole series.

Characters

The development of some of the characters in this is incredible. The characters that are focused on in this arc you really connect with, and you remember during the entire series, despite them not being focused on again.

If I'd had a complaint it would be that the main characters of the series didn't develop too much during this arc.

8.9

Animation

The animation quality of this arc was simple, it didn't do anything to stand out one way or another.

However, the way the action scenes are done are enough to boost the score on this. From the start action scenes are full of intensity and emotion, and it pulls you straight into what the rest of the anime is going to be like.

Music

The opening is...decent, and the ending is... okay. Not the best, in my opinion, but the opening serves its purpose and the ending okay to listen to once or twice.

However, this is where the amazing background music of Naruto is introduced. A lot of the songs, though repeated multiple times, are all good enough to listen on their own to.
