Chunin Exam Arc

Story

This arc serves as the greatest catalyst for the show, including some major plot points. The emotion packed into this arc is at times very striking, bringing the watcher to the edge of the seat, or to the edge of tears as they see the intense battles and increasing tension. However, there are a few slow parts. However, they don't last long before the story picks up again.

Characters

Here we are introduced to some of the characters that will be continuous throughout the series... and what an introduction it is. There is a lot of development for almost all the characters, and all of it is done incredibly. The sheer amount of characters make it almost guaranteed that there will be at least one character watchers can relate to, and that is a major plus. However, there are some characters that get swept under the rug, not getting much development compared to their peers.

Animation

Some of the animation in this arc is incredible. However, this is also the arc in which I probably found the most mistakes.

The action in this is only upped from the last arc, creating intense battles that are impossible to take your eyes away from.

Music

The ending for this arc was... forgettable. I watched it once, and then proceeded to skip it after that. However, the opening was amazing, and created a large amount of hype.

The background music was still pretty good, however, it wasn't as noticeable as the first arc. Although it introduced a few new tracks, the placing wasn't enough to create the maximum amount of emotional influence they could have had.
