Tales of Okuri Tale 3 of 7 Eliminating the Competition

Running to Urashima, she wrapped her arms around the shorter man and pulled him in tight. He turned to her, and smiled. “Hey, Inuko! It’s about time you showed up! The Emperor has arrived with the Shoguns!” His beautiful eyes turned with his face to a concerned expression. “Inuko? What’s wrong?”

Looking at the three leaders of the nation, Inuko sighed. They each had their own unique style of being carried around: The Emperor was carried on a portable, sheltered throne room by his servants, Isamu rode a fine brown horse and Katsuro sat on the back of a huge manservant.

Those fools. The Emperor, as well as Isamu’s horse, wasn’t wearing any sort of armor at all. The brothers would make easy prey of them. “3 brothers,” Inuko murmured, “are going to appear. The oldest one is going to kill all 3 of our leaders.”

“What?” Urashima was confused. He didn’t know anything about Okuri, or Kiba, or even Akamaru. That was the problem with him: he never anything about criminals, ronin, or even simple military politicians. It was because of this that they had often had difficulties with conversation as a couple. Really, all they had in common was a keen interest in market goods. This made Urashima a boyfriend she could shop with. She had never had one of those before, but they didn’t really do much else together. Although, if she had wanted a boyfriend she could talk to about bloody and gory things, she probably would’ve said yes to Kiba……
